Why is there so much conflict between kpop and jpop? In both of them you have artists that are popular only for their looks, and you also have talented singers. Both of these exist in every country. Europe, U.S, Russia, and everywhere else.
I love 1:32-1:34 and every part where they dance because the music, dancing and voices match together. Which is awesome! This isn't KPOP at all. They keep their originality(which is JPOP) and can drive the music through the wall. Their original, simple and unique.
@xxoXYouWishXoxx Oh that... hehe :3 Well, it's scarce for a KPOP girl group to have talent like BRIGHT's. Korean Music Industry has been focusing too much on "looks" and "styles" and "catchy beats" rather than the fundamentals of music itself. I don't mean any purposive "bashing" there. In fact, I've been a fan of most Korean artists (i'm just kinda sick of those talentless worms who gets the spotlight).
@hanhyejinaddikt02 OH. Ah, I see now. I agree with you whole heartedly. I feel like the KPOP industry will let anyone be in an idol group as long as they have a cute face and mediocre talent. It just annoys me how some of their fans (sorry if any hardcore kpop fans read this o.o) just soak up anything the KPOP world dishes out. It's like they can't differentiate genuine talent from an auto-tuned mess. And then they have the audacity to spew some BS about KPOP taking over Japanese music -__-
really? i thought jpop was an easier industry to get in. im a fan of both kpop and jpop, but jpop seems to get younger and possibly less mature kids to form groups. for example AKB48? let hundreds of girls in. at least kpop has a certain age limit. They wouldn't let a 12 year old perform on stage b/c she was too young. and in jpop we have 6 year olds debut.
@pianomusician4life About your comment about the age limit for kpop, the group Girl Story just debuted in December (18th I think?) and their members' ages are 10, 10, 11, and 12 x__< Youngest girl group in kpop... if not in history, at least at the moment. Don't know if they're any good, haven't listened yet xD
yes i have heard about them too, but they are really limited in what they can do. the kpop industry just came out with a group of maknaes that check what younger groups are doing to make sure they're not being obscene.
@hanhyejinaddikt02 Actually, Kpop does have talented girl groups. But just like Bright is not as popular as the less talented cutesy Jpop groups, the korean groups like CSJH or in the past even BEG barely get any recognition for their talent either....
@SugarShapley I think the reason BRIGHT isn't popular yet is because they started back in 2008. They're slowly gaining fans. Gaining a fanbase in Japan takes longer as compared to building a fanbase in Korea. It also took several years (not sure how many years) for AKB48 to gain a huge following. I doubt BRIGHT will be as popular as AKB48, but they will gain fans for being respected singers. There is a difference in how girl groups in Kpop and Jpop operate. Not better, but different.
it's really hard picking a fave, this group is pure talent! they're not selling just image or appearance, i just close my eyes and listen to their voices, simply amazing! i hope all groups should be like this! btw, after listening to this, i like the one with lavender pants~ i like her deep voice!
Those who only like kpop and dont like jpop, please make your way to the nearest exit and find your kpop love.

KPOP Girl group - that's talent. Pure talent. It's not about the pretty faces: it's the harmonization that produces High Quality music.

@tochjo772 I'm sorry, but I wouldn't compare them to Kpop. Jpop and Kpop have a different sound, and this sounds like most Jpop than Kpop. :)
