  • wakefield reminds me very much of fairway

  • I would describe the pin action as very legit, ya. I like that -- get what you hit. Why do people have a problem with that, these days? They've become like a bunch of whiny t*npin bowlers who throw a fit if they can't break 200 just by showing up....

  • Liking the pin action there. Seems pretty honest, don't ya think, Urb?

  • Ya, the place is "called" the toughest still in existance.....the locals say that if you can average 105-115 in this place, that you're a good bowler. This is where I've bowled all summer, it's a challenge!

  • That sounds a lot like what the Kenmore Bowladrome in Fenway Park's basement (my home house while in college) was. Place was a graveyard, and the 111 and 112 I averaged there in 1998 and 1999 were tied for the high average in the house, and highest in the house all alone. Fast pin action never did much for me bc my style was not based on power -- backswing never got above shoulder level. Trying to tackle t*npins now that I live in Michigan, and it's just not the same!

  • Thanks again, Urb! It was a good match, and to those who don't know, Wakefield Bowladrome is not an easy place to bowl!
