This one features the team of Gandy Goose (another of Paul Terry's "superstars") and Sourpuss...and it looks like a low-rent retread of "Porky In Wackyland" [1938] and "Dough For The Do-Do" {which was released earlier in '49}...and "Dingbat" earned his own short-lived series because of this! The "interpreter" should have mentioned Gandy and Sourpuss by name...
I'm a 20-year old male and I am hard-of-hearing... there needs to be more interpretation in movies! It's easier to understand and I graduated college!
Um, what's the point of the ASL narration? Deaf kids aren't stupid, ya know. They could easily have watched this and figured out what's going on...after all, there's no voice narration...just silly music.
HOW COULD YOU BE SO DISRESPECTFUL???? Deaf children need to see posative examples of ASL and for your information my Deaf child with a high IQ happened to love it!
I agree with you ButThenAgain: This is the most patronizing display I have ever seen. The only DISRESPCTFUL thing here is the producer's disregard for the intellect of the deaf.
that's called "dingbat land"

Not only is her narration unnecessary, it also tells a lot of the jokes and surprises in the cartoon before they happen.

At the very least, she should have gotten Gandy's species right. She consistantly refers to him as a duck, and Gandy Goose is, well, a goose!
