Thanks Mitz for your amazing testimony.....I watched the whole thing....not a Mormon.....dont know any....but really uplifted me after a year of intense testing and sickness for some reason....THANKS
"I have more to boast of than ever any man had. I am the only man that has ever been able to keep a whole church together since the days of Adam. A large majority of the whole have stood by me. Neither Paul, John, Peter, nor Jesus ever did it. I boast that no man ever did such a work as I. The followers of Jesus ran away from Him; but the Latter-day Saints never ran away from me yet." (Joseph Smit
This is a video on leaving mormonism, not any other so-called religion. For those comments look to the appropriate videos. As for this, mormons claim to be the only true church and attack others with this arrogant stance saying they are "abominations"
Why not "I'm an ex-Catholic" or "I'm an ex-Jew". If you were the adversary and wanted to stir up the hearts of God's children to fight against Him, where would you focus? You would focus on the fullness of the gospel. Did you ever ask yourself, why such a big deal over something that you believe is not true. If it really was nothing....then it would be treated as so. Ask yourself this, how do you feel inside when you post against LDS, is it goodness..or? the feeling is telling
@norseczar27 probably because pain to other people means nothing to you. You are full of joy for yourself. Mormons are hateful liars, you say one thing at my door, and treat people hurting like this, and bomb the ratings. This is her story.
Nobody has to wear a white shirt, this is insane. Once everybody is wearing white shirts and one person goes dressed in purple will feel like a fish ou of water. At least i would. What a poor soul is that man, totally deceived by satan. Would be easier for her to say, i want to go all out, leave the path, live my life the way society or my husband tell me. This video shows me that i need continue to read, pray e watch out for snares.
If someone has ever told you that the fact of being a member is a guarantee for a no-problems life on earth, don´t mind these people. Your faith was not that great, getting married to a non member it´s a horrible marriage start. But im not worthy to judge or faith or whatever. If you try to find out hair on egg you will find it. I wonder why people attack Christ´s kingdom on the earth, their frustration corrodes faith. And worthy members, real disciples of Christ will do not sleep with children.
The Standard of Truth has been erected. No unhallowed hand can stop the work from progressing. Persecutions may rage, mobs may combine, armies may assemble, calumny may defame. But the truth of God will go forth boldly, nobly, and dependent till it has penetrated every continent, visited every clime, swept every country, and sounded in every ear, until the purposes of God shall be accomplished and the Great Jehovah will say, ‘The work is done
if your a Mormon your a christian that's how it is they tell us everyday to repent and who do you think repent to if it wasn't for Christ we wouldn't have repenting and we repent every week at church i don't believe your story if you were a true Mormon you would understand more and we do talk about Christ more than you think so you must be lying and i have observed so i know they talk about Christ
@smilesforeveryone i do believe that eve dents will eventually come out that you will understand and it will become tooo late for you in this world again i don't think you were ever a true Mormon because if you were you would have more faith than that and you wouldn't let anyone take you back a huge step back i feel as if your trying to get people out of the church of Jesus your story is bull i understand that you feel much happier after you have left the mormon
Respond to this video... is because your not feeling the real feeling to happiness your feeling the relief because Satan has stopped trying to get you he now knows your not a threat anymore and that's the relief your feeling
@daNDayati...The scriptures tell us there is a God. The scriptures are written by prophets. Many of these prophets have seen God and have talked to God. Whether you choose to believe them is up to you. Everything points to the existence of God. I find it hard to believe that everything that exists is by chance, ie the Ozone layer which protects us from the suns rays is by chance, the earth is the perfect distance from the sun and that is by chance? I don't think so. I believe in God.
We are all forever family becasue we are all Gods children. I despise how much the LDS faith holds family members 'hostage' by saying if they don't pay tithe and be obedient they will not be with their family. ridiculous.
@aaronshaf2006 "Yeah, she should have become one of those rational atheists who believes the universe popped into being uncaused out of nothing!"
That's not what atheists think. We don't KNOW how the big bang happened. We don't say it was uncaused, and we don't say it was out of nothing, because we have no information.
We can see that it happened though - if you look at how the galaxies are moving, and run the clock back 14 billion years, they converge. That is evidence, plain and simple.
@aaronshaf2006 or that a pan dimensional being called Fred had an accident while trying to make beer in his kitchen and the subsequent explosion (our big bang) created it all.. (see how easy it is to make up a deus ex machine to rescue our narrative and find cause!!) Or we could admit that we don't know (just yet) the cause of the big bang.. (by the way, does your god have a beard? mine does!!) cheers!!
@aaronshaf2006 I know! The universe expanding into existence from a infinitely dense singularity if so silly, how could something come from nothing! The only other explanation is a magical being that always was and always will be. He was never made he is just there. There was never nothing, god is just plain old infinite. Throw out time, space, matter, nuclear fusion, physics, its all just silliness
@thesignsoflife7 yes,we don't agree. I respect your convictions towards your faith, but I disagree that all religion are not man made. You probably have faith that your religion was/is inspired by God,however man still made religions and man is fallible....thanks For being respectful, peace!
@heathsawyer All religions are man made, but all people, animals, planets etc. are the Creation of God. The Bible is not man made. It was written by men, but spoken by God. Intellect does not originate from a non intellectual source. The Bible is not only without question the very most printed book on this planet. It is the only book that can be verified by science, history, archaeology, fulfilled prophecy etc. Philippians 2:5-12. We continue to exist after we die, whether we believe that or not
@KyaniDave So are you a sheeple that thinks nothing blew up & created everything, dead matter sprung to life, absurdity brought about intelligence etc.? Mormonism is a definite lie. Christ is a very definite factual historical person, Who really lived, really died, and really rose from the dead, there is hard evidence that He is Who He claimed to be. Philippians 2:5-12. Every person on this planet can disbelieve in God. Beliefs do not make Him exist & a lack of belief will not make Him go away.
@heathsawyer Maybe because although all religion is man made she still needed to something to hold on to. And as rediculous as Chrstianity is it's probably not as crazy as mormonism. Either way she seems happy so good for her.
It appears to me that all Ex-Mormons did not and do not understand the big picture, or maybe have forgotten. The LDS Church is merely a tool to help God prepare his children to recieve all he has. As an individual if you are not learning and growing for this purpose and to this end, you are missing the point of Mormon doctrine and are missing the purpose of The Church. It is run by man, and men do make mistakes. It's part of their learning and growth.
@thehood400 or it appears that the mormons that are left in (still with the org/cult whatever) don't get it at all.. that the need for a god is psychological throwback from evolution.. that in modern society educated adults should have outgrown such behavior (i.e. invisible imaginary friend).. the "church" in indeed run by men and god(s) are also man made.. the big picture is not so hard to understand.
i havent found anyone yet that loses faith and replaces it with anything worth while. Most people ive seen only replace there faith with resentment and anger. I'm not seeing the progression here? I don't get it I suppose.
Interesting how you used the same format that won the LDS Church's mormon.org website as one of Interactive Media Awards "Top Ten Websites of the Year." You've dressed your videos in "sheep's clothing" Matt: 7:15
@mjhallfs They answer all the quesions and are not well funded . They are often professors doing it for free. I didn't join the Church of JEsus Christ of Latter Day Saints yesterday . All the anti stuff is mean spirited half truths and lies by people who left cause they don't think they can come back . But they can come back and we want them to . Cults don't have their own football teams .
Just to be clear there are many members of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints who didn't grow up in the Gospel . They had all the so called ''freedoms'' growing up everyone claims on these videos makes them so happy now They left the world behind and have been members from 3 years to 6 years and more and they say they can't imagine their lives without the gospel . So everyone doesn't fall under the grew up brainwashed in the church and glory be I'll finally free to be me catagory .
Before you joined this Church you stood on neutral ground When the gospel was preached good & evil were set before you You could choose either or neither There were 2 opposite masters inviting you to serve them When you joined this Church u enlisted to serve God When you did that you left the neutral ground &younever can get back onto it Should u forsake the Master you enlisted to serve it wil be by the instigation of the evil one youwill follow his dictation&be his servant
Was talking to a member in 1st Ward Fayetteville today and we were talking about members we both know from years ago . She told of one that came to Church on Memorial Day . He hasn't been to The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day
Saints for 10 years . But decided it was time to come back . So there is hope for all of you . Good Luck . Take Care. There are simple answers to all of these questions but these anti guys don't want you to know that . Misery loves company I guess.

@anthonysfirstandlast Don't leave the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints . Any problem , doubt you have can be answered with time . Talk to a friend at Church .
@mollymu1 I have already decided to leave. I do not have any questions...when I do happen to ask a question I never get a real answer that makes sense or has any relevance to my question. I have been misinformed and do not wish to stay in a church that hides beliefs. one thing I did not like about the church was they wanted to teach my boyfriend and I after we had gotten baptized...I wish i would have investigated more before I agreed.
@anthonysfirstandlast You've been misinformed by someone . The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints doesn't hide things . I have been a member for 40 years and know that . Other people dig things up that are hard for anyone but a historian with a lot of time to explain . Which they do . Go to F.A.I.R..org and all of your questions can be answered there. You don't have to know the Church a to z before you become a member . Just have a witness from the Holy Ghost that it is true & the basic
@mollymu1 I am not going to stay in a church that does not please me in every way. The small details are important to me because people who knows the facts will see me as a representation of those facts. I loved the people and values but that is not going to keep me from looking past that and focusing in on the religion itself. Also I know they say they do not worship Joseph Smith but Jesus Christ...but the fact is they do not use the bible that much. They use it more as a supplement to the BOM.
@anthonysfirstandlast Also how do you explain why the Mormon Church thinks people have black skin. The church is racist. And how can a church who is the restored church of Jesus Christ deal with a prophet who said blacks could not hold a priest hood until the 70's??? Everything I found out about the church was due to separate research....no one felt I needed to know more about the religion or anything that they might believe in that I would find offensive or wrong?
The claim that "L.D.S. doesn't hide things" is a lie. I spent several years as a serious LDS Investigator. When I began my studies, I WANTED to believe that BoM was true.
After reading BoM, I began researching it in depth. I also began researching LDS as an institution, and the history of Joseph Smith. I began learning about just how much LDS covers up. "Milk before meat"?? LDS did not want me getting to the "meat".
@anthonysfirstandlast it's true. they don't teach a lot of what they believe and how much they control you and your life before they convert you. Good for you. keep searching and question everything. and don't let them talk you into staying. they have no power over you. it's a man made organization that thinks it has a lot of power. but in hindsight, they don't have any. GOD has all control, not the mormon church.

IT IS OKAY TO DO YOUR OWN THING TOTALLY BUT REMAIN FAITHFUL TO THE GOSPEL!!! SOUNDS LIKE YOU THINK WAY TOO MUCH AND MORE THAN YOU NEED TO!!! STAY FOCUSED ON THE SIMPLICITY OF THE PRINCIPLES OF THE GOSPEL AND STAY A DOORMAT!!! BEING UNCOMFORTABLE AND NOT HAVING IT ALL IN THE GOSPEL IS THE BETTER SOLUTION BECAUSE YOUR HUSBAND NEEDS YOUR STRENGTH IN THE GOSPEL SO HE CAN SEE THE LIGHT IN THE NEAR FUTURE!!!
So you abandoned Joseph Smith, my sister? Good for you! However, that's only a start. Next on his way out the window: Jesus Christ of Nazareth! How about it, sis ;)
Let's finish the job of uncontaminating your mind. Otherwise your mind is only half free.
@wakeupfist In my view I at least have an explanatory cause. The common atheistic view is worse than magic. It's as though a rabbit (the universe) suddenly appeared, without even a magician. Believing that the universe popped into being uncaused out of nothing takes an incredible amount of faith. It goes against the logical rule that everything that has a beginning has a cause.
Take a pause, wrap your mind around what you just wrote and see how ridiculously circular and self defying YOUR logic is. If everything needs a creatOR, then what or who created THAT creator? Oh, let me guess, the creator himself was self-creating, right? Oh, I forgot, he has always BEEN.
Not sure if you subscribe to that view but it commits every conceivable logical fallacy (special pleading, circular reasoning and everything in between), yet it's my view that goes against logic?
@aaronshaf2006 Thanks for this simple analogy that my mind can easily comprehend, remember and repeat or refurbish. Sometimes I find them and can "get" them, but getting them from my mind to my mouth is another adventure altogether.
@wakeupfist When I look at the universe and the Earth, the size of the Earth, the balance of air, water, and land, our solar system and the planets that hold the Earth in it's orbit, and I look at the fragile balance in which they exist, the zoology, geology, and other scientific realms that support life, it requires more "faith" for me to believe that it all happened as a result of a statistical fluke than it does to accept them as the results of a Divine Order.
wgagandalf complains that this woman is a whiner. who is he to judge her? those who are hurt by the mormon church are hurt in different ways. even if she was histrionic, her real reasons for leaving the church are completely valid. wgagandalf needs to get over himself.
What a whiner. Someone this histrionic is going to find fault where ever she goes. A drama queen, subjectively mad over exaggerations and nonsense. She'll get offended at her next church too, and the next one, and the next one. Just suck it up, quite focusing on purple shirts, and little offenses and get over yourself. She's so proud of her self-absorption, which I find very irritating. These are the best reasons you could find??? Maybe you should start your own church.
Heartfelt and enjoyable to watch. Mitz is a very good speaker and her story is fascinating.
I'm with others, though, that it seems she just left a more irrational belief for one slightly less irrational but no more founded in reality. But at least it seems better than before.
Hi. I'm Andy from Montreal, Canada. I saw some of your videos and find them to be of interest ; thanks for the postings. I am NOT LDS. I have been investingating LDS for a while but have stopped about 2-3 years ago. I have a question : what is meant when they talk about "the warming of the bosom" ? What is that all about ? Have you ever encounter that ? Maybe you should make a video on that ! Is this experience and others Blessing exclusive to the Mormons as they claim. Thanks again.
IF you are looking into the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints be sure to ask a active member not a non member or someone who is having problems at this time in their lives . If you want to know about the Baptist Church go to their site . If you want to learn about us ask us. And ask yourself about the fruit you see from us.
So she admits it's true...Mormons are NOT Christians as they falsely claim. And I can attest to that as well because I am an Ex-Mormon too. Only I was smart enough not to substitute one CULT'S fairytale for another.
I'm not impressed. They did nothing but switch CULTS. One is just as batshit and false as the other. She'll impress me when she actually uses TRUE logic and reason and becomes an atheist.
wow christianity is so divisive, you got the jews thinking they are god's chosen people, the you got the protestants versus catholics, then you got the jehovas witnesses and the mormons and all the other nutty theologies and they all think the other one is going to hell, cristianity is horrible we don't need it in this day and age
I'm an ex-Mormon now-Atheist, but I to anybody who sees this, I might not agree with Christianity, but if you can bring a Mormon to Christianity, you're good in my book.
@ChrisSandberg1 Christianity seems closer to open-minded than Mormonism, but your right, having never been Christian, I can't be sure if it is better, it just seems better.
Be kind to others it serves you well to stand in front of the gates in heaven and to be able to say you were good to others even though the may have not always been good to you.
I respect everyones right to believe whatever they want and practice their religion openly but I see a lot of anger and almost pretentious remarks from people. Why should she not have the right to speak? If you are strong in your faith than you should not care what she has to say or someone ministers to you. I let someone minister to me in a bar while I smoked a cigg and drank a beer and said nothing harsh or mean and when he was done I thanked him and we parted ways.
This woman spoke very well and I like her story. I believe and I mean I believe not that I am asking anyone else to do what I do or believe what I believe. But I like the quote the was placed in the movie Stigmata "The Kingdom of God is inside you and all around you, not in mansions of wood and stone. Split a piece of wood and I am there" I believe that we place to much emphasis on Buildings and Organizations. I don't need another person to tell me what I believe or what to do.
It amazes me that an LDS or "Mormon" can't say anything intelligent in response, they only get defensive and say mean, untrue and irrelevant things. Seems they are so very "nice" till you really challenge them and then they unable to have an intelligent and mature conversation about what they truly believe and just spew hate. If it indeed is "the only true church" then nothing they see or read or hear should threaten them and or will change that .. correct?? So can we speak like grown ups?
I never ever get into these endless debates, but God had laid it on my heart to tell you all that after 5 years OUT, I know that my Lord Jesus is my Lord of Lord's and my King of King's- that the Mormon "religion" is man made and a cult. Jesus came to set the captives FREE and if you would just read Galatians, Ephesians and the book of Titus without your "blinders" on you would know the ever true and living God (Jesus) He is not just your "example" or "elder brother" He is your God in the flesh
Congratulations on switching cults--although you HAVE taken one tiny step back down off the wacky tree; mormons are profoundly brainwashed. Maybe by the time you're ninety it will come to you that you spent your life merely worshiping the magical sky daddy you were taught to--first the version taught to you since birth by your community, and then the one of a somewhat wider community. If you had been born in pakistan you would be telling us now about how gloriously allah guides your life.
So why waste your time here? Polish your truck. Go to work. Be nice (but only to people who are nice to you, screw those other SOBs). Make sure you don't miss Super Bowl Sunday commercials. Cheetos, Bud. Hamburgers and extra ketchup on your fries. Mow your grass. Divorce. Save up for a ride-on mower.
Ah yes, the blissful, fulfilling life of the skeptic.
Well....I didn't say that (or even remotely imply it) did I?
Have you never questioned the very odd coincidence that, given the many different religions in the world, the majority of believers who are "certain" of the total truth of their religion have ended up determining that the "true one" just HAPPENS to be the one they were raised to believe in?
I could say with confidence that it's a foolish believer who never considers that.
@GetMeThere1 Come on, I know you can do better! Anything constructive to say beyond silly 'sky-daddy' taunts. So we're fools. Ok, guilty. Next topic. RC planes. They're a blast. My brother had a freaking huge Boeing model. Big enough to carry a small dog. Helicopters are even better. You can get one that operates from an iPhone app. How cool is that?! btw: I nailed ya didn't I.?.?.? You drive a truck and put extra ketchup on your fries. Right??!! Organic ketchup is sooo much better.
@GetMeThere1 I feel the same way, the only reason that someone believes their religion is because everyone else around them does, you take all the christians and go back in time and have them born in the middle east and theyd all turn to be devote muslims and vice versa
She follows the bible??and then preach hate :S and mock of God and His followers if she follow the bible she would not persecuet the saints(Jeremy17:13-18) the Book of Mormon helps me to understand much better the bible and learn more..in my hand´s it´s one volume of holy scriptures(Ezequiel 37:15-17)
if you study the facts and the origem of the bible that we have in our hand´s nowdays u like many students and Teologist you´d become atheist believe me... but the bible still aprouch us to God.
@macedo5 Where does she "teach hate"? Ever considered the DNA, anthropological, historical, linguistic etc. etc. evidence? Of course not, it's all 'faith-destroying'. Someone's getting lied to and it's not her, it's you.
@Estaban333 Yes i consider that and there are many..but not everything of course..did you know the bible you have in your hands are so corrupted by the anti-christs and scribes who wrote it again and again.. did you know that most of Teologists are atheist because of that?Although I believe in the bible but it´s clear and easy to see that the bible have plenty mistakes like Exodus32:14 (God can repent?Isn´t He perfect?how can He repent of anything?)but the bible sitll an holy book! i know it is!
I see you keep saying the guy that ruined your life and not ken the guy who you thought runied your life. It seems like deep down you still hold it against ken.
Shame that the first part is true I think you know he as runied your life.
and steve come to you like a lamb ..and you follow the wolf...(Matthew 24:11 11And many false prophets shall rise, and shall deceive many.) i´m sorry for your problems but i have more sorry for your children!! Women what are you doing?? :( ask of god? remember abraham and the others prophets.i´m so sorry for you :( i´m crying for your soul .. you are sooo lost!! God have mercy of you and of your children and may not their blood would be in your hands at the end..so many lies that you believe
@macedo5 She beleives and follows the bible which is the correct thing to do. Are you calling God a liar now? How is she deiceved? Mormons listen and follow the church more than they follow God. Many things you are taught in your church arent even written in the bible, let alone the BOM, and your calling her decieved because she refuses to follow your churchs' man made ideas?
why are the testimonies of those who left MORmONISM so much more genuine & caring than the testimonies of those still in MORmONISM that are doing those ABSOLUTELY SICKENING "I am a MORmON" promotional ads? IS It because those still in MORmONISM are based on ARROGANCE & ULTERIOR MOTIVES?
& are nothing but pimping for the FOUL EVIL DECEITFUL LDS corporation.
To Mitz, the scripture you read in Galatians actually has a wonderful counterpart that means that exact same thing in Mosiah 13:28. We believe that salvation comes through Christ and Christ alone, to state otherwise is a misrepresentation of what we believe.
@Beckinz1 So, if Mormons believe that "salvation comes through Christ and Christ alone", then why do Mormons believe that no one is admitted to Heaven without Joseph SmYth's approval??
@TheLostRealist513 If she was TRULY rational she'd become an atheist who believes the universe was brought into being by nothing from nothing and for nothing. That human consciousness and free will are an illusion. That there is no purpose to life. That there are no such thing as absolute human rights. And if she was especially rational, she, like Richard Dawkins, would affirm an infinite number of universes and deny the existence of objective moral values, duties, and obligations... ;-)
@aaronshaf2006 I like your little "winky face" at the end, as if you've actually made a point. LOL. As far as the universe being brought into being by nothing, from nothing, and for nothing - yes, that is exactly what all of the evidence demonstrates. Unless you have some sort of proof that your magical sky fairy waved his magic wand to "poof" everything into existence. And no, there are no objective morals, duties, or obligations. It is subjective.
@TheLostRealist513 It's simple logic: Everything that has a beginning has a cause. The universe had a beginning. Therefore the universe had a cause. You say, "there are no objective morals, duties, or obligations", which implies that torturing babies for fun is not objectively wrong. If you take that seriously, you're a madman. Giving you the benefit of doubt here, I'm going to assume that you believe torturing babies for fun really is objectively wrong (not just non-preferential).
@aaronshaf2006 You may want to do some more research on what constitutes "logic". You cannot draw a logical connection between the beginning of the universe and a magical sky father.
Your example of "torturing babies" does not demonstrate objective morality. If it was objective, then it would be absolutely universal and there would be no such thing as baby torturing. But there are people who do those things to babies, thus demonstrating that morality is subjective and not universal.
@aaronshaf2006 Especially when we consider that the Nazis cut open the pregnant bellies of Jewish women and threw their fetuses on each others rifle bayonets - FOR FUN. And sadly that is not the only time in history that people have done things like that. There were millions of solders throughout time that saw absolutely no moral wrongdoing in torturing babies for fun. Morals = subjective.
@TheLostRealist513 Those examples only reinforce my point. If atheism is true, then "cutting open the pregnant bellies of Jewish women and throwing their fetuses on each other's rifle bayonets for fun" is not evil--it only violates invented laws or social constructs. But if there is a God, then we have an ultimate foundation for such an above thing being actually evil and wicked. Our moral experience tells us that such WW2 savagery is actually wrong. Theism confirms and best explains this.
@aaronshaf2006 We can subjectively say that the savagery conducted in WWII was wrong. But clearly it is not objectively wrong or those soldiers would never have committed those atrocities. If our morality was objective and bestowed upon us from a god, then every single person would agree 100% on what is morally acceptable and what is atrocious. This does not happen.
What we actually observe in the real world is exactly what we would expect if there was no god. No ultimate authority.
@TheLostRealist513 You say, "We can subjectively say that the savagery conducted in WWII was wrong", but if it is merely subjective, the Nazi savages could just as well, and indeed did, subjectively say that it was right and commendable. That's the problem: if it's merely subjective, then you just have people and their invented opinions without any actual foundation in moral, objective reality. Also, I think you misread "objective" here, which means real independently of any human opinion.
@aaronshaf2006 "the Nazi savages could just as well, and indeed did, subjectively say that it was right and commendable." Unfortunately, this is absolutely correct. And that is how we know that morality is subjective.
I know exactly what you meant by "objective morality" and I reject the notion for the reasons that I have already argued. Morality only exists within human opinion. There is no ultimate authority on the subject.
@TheLostRealist513 Also, remember that your original comment was, "it sounds like you just exchanged one form of irrational BS for another." And now you're basically telling me that "cutting open the pregnant bellies of Jewish women and throwing their fetuses on each other's rifle bayonets for fun" is only *subjectively* wrong, not actually and objectively wrong. Ask yourself, how is that not atheistic "irrational BS" that you have bought into?
@aaronshaf2006 It is perfectly rational to recognize the truth that the evidence leads to. You cannot rationally justify belief in a supernatural god. How can you assume that because people are generally moral and good, that somehow implies magic? That is nonsense. There is a perfectly reasonable explanation of our morality from an evolutionary perspective which is actually backed up by fact. Your belief in a god is backed up by nothing.
@lacura11 No offense, but isn't that kind of conceited? It's like saying, "You're allowed to leave my church, but you're not allowed to tell anyone anything bad you learned about it, and you're not allowed to help people switch to the better alternative that you found." Or like saying, "You're allowed to leave us, but you're not allowed to criticize us."
@aaronshaf2006 None taken. Everybody is allowed to do everything they want but that don't harm others. these video are against something not pro something. mormons don't put video against others believes but they just testify of what they believe.
that's nothing bad you can learn in the church therefore no need for these videos.
They left one cult and joined another cult . Try researching the religion your in now , and look outside of your religion for info and never just take one piece of evidence.
Ps. The best way to find out what's wrong with your religion is to ask someone that is not in it .
i joined a pentecostal church more than 20 years ago. i once had a close friend (a protestant & a son of an evangelical pastor) who swindled me of few thousands of pesos). i always encounter born-again "christians" who use to ask money from people instead of teaching the gospel of christ, etc... to me nothing can compare to latter-day saints (or "mormons"). they are indeed saints! they are the TRUE CHRISTIANS!!! i'd been searching for the true church and i thinks it's the LDS church.
i am sick of seeing so-called christians doing evil things! pentecostals. baptists. born-again christians. evangelicals. etc. enough is enough! i am tired of their hypocrisy! they are only good in words but not in deeds! for more than 25 years i prefer not to join any church rather than joining these evils! indeed "by their fruits you shall know them"!!!

That's right. Here is a quote from "the source",
Mormon quote from Joe Smith
"I have more to boast of than ever any man had. I am the only man that has ever been able to keep a whole church together since the days of Adam. A large majority of the whole have stood by me. Neither Paul, John, Peter, nor Jesus ever did it. I boast that no man ever did such a work as I. The followers of Jesus ran away from Him; but the Latter-day Saints never ran away from me yet." Why not "I'm an ex-Catholic" or "I'm an ex-Jew".

It's part of their learning and growth.
thehood400 5 months ago
@thehood400 or it appears that the mormons that are left in (still with the org/cult whatever) don't get it at all.. that the need for a god is psychological throwback from evolution.. that in modern society educated adults should have outgrown such behavior (i.e. invisible imaginary friend).. the "church" in indeed run by men and god(s) are also man made.. the big picture is not so hard to understand.

@mollymu1 I have already decided to leave. I do not have any questions...when I do happen to ask a question I never get a real answer that makes sense or has any relevance to my question. I have been misinformed and do not wish to stay in a church that hides beliefs. one thing I did not like about the church was they wanted to teach my boyfriend and I after we had gotten baptized...I wish i would have investigated more before I agreed.
anthonysfirstandlast 8 months ago
@anthonysfirstandlast You've been misinformed by someone . The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints doesn't hide things . I have been a member for 40 years and know that . Other people dig things up that are hard for anyone but a historian with a lot of time to explain . Which they do . Go to F.A.I.R..org and all of your questions can be answered there. You don't have to know the Church a to z before you become a member . Just have a witness from the Holy Ghost that it is true & the basic
mollymu1 8 months ago
@mollymu1 I am not going to stay in a church that does not please me in every way. The small details are important to me because people who knows the facts will see me as a representation of those facts. I loved the people and values but that is not going to keep me from looking past that and focusing in on the religion itself. Also I know they say they do not worship Joseph Smith but Jesus Christ...but the fact is they do not use the bible that much. They use it more as a supplement to the BOM.
anthonysfirstandlast 8 months ago
@anthonysfirstandlast Also how do you explain why the Mormon Church thinks people have black skin. The church is racist. And how can a church who is the restored church of Jesus Christ deal with a prophet who said blacks could not hold a priest hood until the 70's??? Everything I found out about the church was due to separate research....no one felt I needed to know more about the religion or anything that they might believe in that I would find offensive or wrong?
anthonysfirstandlast 8 months ago
@mollymu1 L.D.S. = L.ie + D.eceive + S.idestep

@anthonysfirstandlast it's true. they don't teach a lot of what they believe and how much they control you and your life before they convert you. wakeupfist 9 months ago 8
@wakeupfist In my view I at least have an explanatory cause. The common atheistic view is worse than magic. It's as though a rabbit (the universe) suddenly appeared, without even a magician. Believing that the universe popped into being uncaused out of nothing takes an incredible amount of faith. It goes against the logical rule that everything that has a beginning has a cause.
aaronshaf2006 9 months ago
@aaronshaf2006

What a whiner. Someone this histrionic is going to find fault where ever she goes. A drama queen, subjectively mad over exaggerations and nonsense. She'll get offended at her next church too, and the next one, and the next one. Just suck it up, quite focusing on purple shirts, and little offenses and get over yourself. She's so proud of her self-absorption, which I find very irritating. These are the best reasons you could find??? Maybe you should start your own church.

FaithHopeLove1313 11 months ago
Congratulations on switching cults--although you HAVE taken one tiny step back down off the wacky tree; mormons are profoundly brainwashed. Maybe by the time you're ninety it will come to you that you spent your life merely worshiping the magical sky daddy you were taught to--first the version taught to you since birth by your community, and then the one of a somewhat wider community. If you had been born in pakistan you would be telling us now about how gloriously allah guides your life.

@GetMeThere1
Everyone but you is a deluded fool.

@thesignsoflife7 "Everyone but you is a deluded fool."

@GetMeThere1 I feel the same way, the only reason that someone believes their religion is because everyone else around them does, you take all the christians and go back in time and have them born in the middle east and theyd all turn to be devote muslims and vice versa

She follows the bible??and then preach hate :S and mock of God and His followers if she follow the bible she would not persecuet the saints(Jeremy17:13-18) the Book of Mormon helps me to understand much better the bible and learn more..in my hand´s it´s one volume of holy scriptures(Ezequiel 37:15-17)
if you study the facts and the origem of the bible that we have in our hand´s nowdays u like many students and Teologist you´d become atheist believe me... but the bible still aprouch us to God.
macedo5 11 months ago
@macedo5 Where does she "teach hate"? Ever considered the DNA, anthropological, historical, linguistic etc. etc. evidence? Of course not, it's all 'faith-destroying'. Someone's getting lied to and it's not her, it's you.
Estaban333 11 months ago
@Estaban333 Yes i consider that and there are many..but not everything of course..did you know the bible you have in your hands are so corrupted by the anti-christs and scribes who wrote it again and again.. did you know that most of Teologists are atheist because of that?Although I believe in the bible but it´s clear and easy to see that the bible have plenty mistakes like Exodus32:14 (God can repent?Isn´t He perfect?how can He repent of anything?)but the bible sitll an holy book! i know it is!

Women what are you doing?? :( ask of god? remember abraham and the others prophets.i´m so sorry for you :( i´m crying for your soul .. you are sooo lost!! God have mercy of you and of your children and may not their blood would be in your hands at the end..so many lies that you believe
macedo5 11 months ago
@macedo5 She beleives and follows the bible which is the correct thing to do. Are you calling God a liar now? How is she deiceved? Mormons listen and follow the church more than they follow God. Many things you are taught in your church arent even written in the bible, let alone the BOM, and your calling her decieved because she refuses to follow your churchs' man made ideas?
shvibzik123 11 months ago
why are the testimonies of those who left MORmONISM so much more genuine & caring than the testimonies of those still in MORmONISM that are doing those ABSOLUTELY SICKENING "I am a MORmON" promotional ads? IS It because those still in MORmONISM are based on ARROGANCE & ULTERIOR MOTIVES?
& are nothing but pimping for the FOUL EVIL DECEITFUL LDS corporation.
settypatch 1 year ago
To Mitz, the scripture you read in Galatians actually has a wonderful counterpart that means that exact same thing in Mosiah 13:28. We believe that salvation comes through Christ and Christ alone, to state otherwise is a misrepresentation of what we believe.
Beckinz1 1 year ago
@Beckinz1 So, if Mormons believe that "salvation comes through Christ and Christ alone", then why do Mormons believe that no one is admitted to Heaven without Joseph SmYth's approval??

Congrats on leaving the Church of LDS, but it sounds like you just exchanged one form of irrational BS for another.
TheLostRealist513 1 year ago
@TheLostRealist513 If she was TRULY rational she'd become an atheist who believes the universe was brought into being by nothing from nothing and for nothing. That human consciousness and free will are an illusion. That there is no purpose to life. That there are no such thing as absolute human rights. And if she was especially rational, she, like Richard Dawkins, would affirm an infinite number of universes and deny the existence of objective moral values, duties, and obligations... ;-)
aaronshaf2006 1 year ago
@aaronshaf2006 I like your little "winky face" at the end, as if you've actually made a point. LOL. As far as the universe being brought into being by nothing, from nothing, and for nothing - yes, that is exactly what all of the evidence demonstrates. Unless you have some sort of proof that your magical sky fairy waved his magic wand to "poof" everything into existence. And no, there are no objective morals, duties, or obligations. It is subjective.
TheLostRealist513 1 year ago
@TheLostRealist513 It's simple logic: Everything that has a beginning has a cause. The universe had a beginning. Therefore the universe had a cause. You say, "there are no objective morals, duties, or obligations", which implies that torturing babies for fun is not objectively wrong. If you take that seriously, you're a madman. Giving you the benefit of doubt here, I'm going to assume that you believe torturing babies for fun really is objectively wrong (not just non-preferential).
aaronshaf2006 1 year ago
@aaronshaf2006 You may want to do some more research on what constitutes "logic". You cannot draw a logical connection between the beginning of the universe and a magical sky father.
Your example of "torturing babies" does not demonstrate objective morality. If it was objective, then it would be absolutely universal and there would be no such thing as baby torturing. But there are people who do those things to babies, thus demonstrating that morality is subjective and not universal.
TheLostRealist513 1 year ago
@aaronshaf2006 Especially when we consider that the Nazis cut open the pregnant bellies of Jewish women and threw their fetuses on each others rifle bayonets - FOR FUN. And sadly that is not the only time in history that people have done things like that. There were millions of solders throughout time that saw absolutely no moral wrongdoing in torturing babies for fun. Morals = subjective.
TheLostRealist513 1 year ago
@TheLostRealist513 Those examples only reinforce my point. If atheism is true, then "cutting open the pregnant bellies of Jewish women and throwing their fetuses on each other's rifle bayonets for fun" is not evil--it only violates invented laws or social constructs. But if there is a God, then we have an ultimate foundation for such an above thing being actually evil and wicked. Our moral experience tells us that such WW2 savagery is actually wrong. Theism confirms and best explains this.
aaronshaf2006 1 year ago
@aaronshaf2006 We can subjectively say that the savagery conducted in WWII was wrong. But clearly it is not objectively wrong or those soldiers would never have committed those atrocities. If our morality was objective and bestowed upon us from a god, then every single person would agree 100% on what is morally acceptable and what is atrocious. This does not happen.
What we actually observe in the real world is exactly what we would expect if there was no god. No ultimate authority.
TheLostRealist513 1 year ago
@TheLostRealist513 You say, "We can subjectively say that the savagery conducted in WWII was wrong", but if it is merely subjective, the Nazi savages could just as well, and indeed did, subjectively say that it was right and commendable. That's the problem: if it's merely subjective, then you just have people and their invented opinions without any actual foundation in moral, objective reality. Also, I think you misread "objective" here, which means real independently of any human opinion.
aaronshaf2006 1 year ago
@aaronshaf2006 "the Nazi savages could just as well, and indeed did, subjectively say that it was right and commendable." Unfortunately, this is absolutely correct. And that is how we know that morality is subjective.
I know exactly what you meant by "objective morality" and I reject the notion for the reasons that I have already argued. Morality only exists within human opinion. There is no ultimate authority on the subject.
TheLostRealist513 1 year ago
@TheLostRealist513 BTW, you still haven't logically justified the existence of god.
TheLostRealist513 1 year ago
@TheLostRealist513 Also, remember that your original comment was, "it sounds like you just exchanged one form of irrational BS for another." And now you're basically telling me that "cutting open the pregnant bellies of Jewish women and throwing their fetuses on each other's rifle bayonets for fun" is only *subjectively* wrong, not actually and objectively wrong. Ask yourself, how is that not atheistic "irrational BS" that you have bought into?
aaronshaf2006 1 year ago
@aaronshaf2006 It is perfectly rational to recognize the truth that the evidence leads to. You cannot rationally justify belief in a supernatural god. How can you assume that because people are generally moral and good, that somehow implies magic? That is nonsense. There is a perfectly reasonable explanation of our morality from an evolutionary perspective which is actually backed up by fact. Your belief in a god is backed up by nothing.

it's amazing how these people need to fight it. do you want to leave the church? do it but these's no need to do these videos.
lacura11 1 year ago
@lacura11 No offense, but isn't that kind of conceited? It's like saying, "You're allowed to leave my church, but you're not allowed to tell anyone anything bad you learned about it, and you're not allowed to help people switch to the better alternative that you found." Or like saying, "You're allowed to leave us, but you're not allowed to criticize us."
aaronshaf2006 1 year ago
