what really gets me going is the fact that here in the US, Christians are the ones who are most outspoken against gays, bisexuals, lesbians and transgenderates. our religion preaches love and forgiveness and acceptance, but we don't do it. as a Christian and a bisexual, I say it's time we take a stand and love like Jesus loved. unconditionally. with no biases.
I have no idea why anyone would not support same sex marriage. If gays and lesbians get married, it does not make my 'straight' marriage any less of a marriage. It doesn't make me start thinking, now I want to try being a lesbian. It boggles my mind.
@Mysticblue1212 I don't think it is fear, I think it is ignorance. Ignorance because they don't know what they are afraid of and then it turns to hate. I used to hate spiders. I have educated myself to know that they are needed in nature. I still fear spiders, but I don't hate them anymore. I think if more people educated themselves then the knowledge will overcome hate. One person at a time I guess.
@IcyKitty i know exactly what you mean.. it's a complete mystery to me how the love i feel for the person i love should mean anything less than the love you share for the person you love.
@tabloidjunk It makes my heart ache knowing that there are some people in the world who can not show the love for their partner and have the security I feel. Someday soon I hope.
@snazzyasian Yeah it seems that every time we gather, the group is bigger and more enthusiastic than the one before. we WILL succeed.. They can't keep downplaying the importance of this issue.
