Guys, the traditional italian style macchiatto is in fact shots of espresso(generally two) "marked"(english for macchiatto) with milk foam. Pretty sure they know what they're talking about. :/ This IS a cappuccino.
Yeah like that, had to look up the snakebite (I don't drink xD), but you can use the back of the spoon or the actual spoon bit of it to catch the espresso as it goes down. Might want to pre-warm the spoon though? Just thought of that recently.
Also, bartending trick, I used a spoon against the cup right above the foam to break the fall of the espresso, lets it dribble nicely (I didn't have a pitcher, I used a regular double-shot cup, worked fine with the spoon. Plus there is a spoon to be licked :D).
Lol at :08 you can see Kat in the reflection of the machine on the right! The first visual evidence that she exists! (It's like spotting Elvis or the Loch Ness Monster :)
OMG I saw her too!

@Xiia0Sn00pY As far as I know, this is a trad capp -- that's how we learned it years ago, so that's what I'm stickin' with! :) - Kat
SeattleCoffeeGear 5 months ago
@SeattleCoffeeGear well you may have learnt it wrongly Because a machiato has the espresso poured last.
