It doesn't start up in 8 seconds, it RESUMES in 8 seconds. When you hit 'shut down', it does some sort of Hibernate.

Do a restart instead to see how long it takes to actually boot up.

@HouseFreak97 Erm...... Windows 8 has a disable Metro UI... So practically you will have windows 7 with some serious speed. But I wont disable it because it looks awesome =D

@Atrax2k8 LOADS of people care about startup times. Somebody returned an Alien ware laptop because the start up time was slower than a broken windows 7 PC!

Who the fucq cares about startup times? Maybe if you didn't use a calculator to run your windows on, maybe it would start faster.

I turn on my computer, and when I don't use it, it just goes into standby, that booting from takes a second. Simple as that.
