  • i love how everyone on the comments are like "these guys suck". Well try fighting someone after 5 hours of intense exercise and hand to hand combat. You people who are talking smack obviously haven't gone through Kravs level testings. So stuff it. These guys are doing fine for where there at in the testing duration

  • RIght this is 50% sparring. Or 100% of what's left after 5 hours of going very hard.

  • I'd also like to add that it is hard to really "spar" in Krav Maga.....groin strikes, throat strikes, eye gouges, knee ligament tearing, clavicle breaking, and the other pure Krav Maga aspects don't translate well to sparring. Sparring is always meant to give the participants a sense of distance and timing for themselves with a variety of opponents, more than the actual destruction of the opponent.

  • Hey guys, I'm just now looking at the comments, and am not surprised by some of the responses. This was taken after just over 5+ hours of testing, and it was only a mid-level belt test. I'm sure everyone who commented goes super hard and just demolishes everyone they hit, but I'm also sure they aren't sparring after that many hours, in our advanced classes, we go much harder, but that is also only for an hour, not 5+...........

  • THESE GUYS SUCK

  • and you guys got no rythum either seesh

  • im 16 and take krav and me and my freinds go 2times as hard as this when were going 50percent

  • @ogmilklegit same heer i jst started over the summer and i havnt done any sparring yet but this better not be wat its like these guys are pussies

  • looks like muai thai, what does krav maga offer that muai thai dosent?

  • @plutoend99 there pretty much the same i guess, but krav maga is a defence for the street and is more effective to use, also you need power and speed in krav and muai thai its more speed than power

  • @prokravmaga54 muay thai more speed than power? completely wrong.

  • @khody a thai kick can break your themer or how ever you spell it lol its wayyyyy powerful its just people see it as speed over power but theres a hell of alot of power in those hits and kicks id know

  • @MegaMma123 its called a femur.Thai kicks arent known for speed by anyone ,they are for power.

  • @plutoend99 thai has nothing to do with self protection, its for match fights so only deals with the physical part of a situation and has no groundwork and limited wrestling.Krav would deal with prefight psychology ,weapons, grappling, escaping holds that thai has no need for. However,a hardened sport fighter is way more skilled and tougher than any self defense pratitioner, its just not broad enough in scope.

  • John really likes to throw those lazy side kick ah ? and u have very sharp boxing skill

  • @wolfyjournalism the boxing is at novice level but great boxing isnt needed for self defense.

  • @billysue2 well ! I agree and disagree. face on sparing use lots tech that u will not use in self defense situation ( as u rarely face your attacker ) but it does train your skill on distance judging, fighting spirit, and proper attacks. Now I do agree boxing is contracting to Krav Maga 's fighting : not jabbing but left straight.

  • ...I don't know kv so take this comment as a question... Is this real kv? Because if so it doesn't seem so effective at all, let apart beat bjj or mma

  • nice kicks!

  • Just to finish my comment. A fight is a fight. simple as that. I have spent years in KM and feel very comfortable against any opponent. The difference is his strong points change with his back ground. If you have studied KM and find that you are not perpared to fight traditional styles, maybe you should re-evaluate your training or your school.

  • First of all...Very Nice. I feel your pain. I have taken that test and sparred 3 rounds after about 6 hours if testing.

Second...how can the guy above say that KM was not designed to work against traditional martial artists. Do you know anything about KM or did you see a few videos and take a class or 2. KM is designed as a fighting system, designed for fighting. It does not matter if the guy you are fighting is a guy on the street with no experience or a black belt in something else.

  • lethargic movements, which is expected after 6 hours, but how alert you were is despite the fatigue is very impressive. nice job to you and your partner.

  • KM rules!

  • I would love to see how KM would fare against another martial art style.

  • I don't think it would really compare in the ring seeing as those who train for Krav Maga train for real life attacks, not for a controlled environment.

  • What I'm saying is KM was not designed to work against trained martial artists, thus it's effectiveness is questionable without proof of its efficacy.

  • @Airsoft253 a krav maga yellow belt could beat some of the best fighters in BJJ, TKD, JUDO, Muay thai, boxing... trust me i take krav maga and i've also beat my friends who are black belts in these fighting styles

  • @supermonkey5294 yeah I've been taking Krav Maga for years too

  • @supermonkey5294 I agree Ive trained in Muay Thai and jiu jitsu and they dont teach you how to fight for sport but not for the street, for the street you need to be hard fast and aggressive so much martial arts dont teach aggressiveness

  • @ANZACJugger0 probably you intend traditional jiu jitsu, and I agree it isn't really practice in a street, but I think BJJ is very very effective

  • @supermonkey5294

I have a hard time believing that, unless your friends are crippled in some manner. I've Krav Maga is anything like what's being shown in this video then a "black belt" level boxer wouldn't have much trouble winning.

  • @inythingatall ight try and take on anyone of my trainers and see what happens

  • @supermonkey5294

Someone who is good enough at krav maga to teach it and a yellow belt are a bit different. And just because you've beat your friends, and Im willing to bet they aren't the best fighters in their sport, doesn't make mean it's the best style out there.

  • @inythingatall ight but the thing is the coaches aren't masters at it most of the time they're just one belt above the student

  • @inythingatall anyone with good fundamental wrestling and bjj would destroy a pro level boxer in nhb match .Obviously the above spar is striking so a good boxer would own anyone in a recreational gym at that game.Ive boxed and done grappling styles since childhood and no striker no matter how good has ever been able to stop the clinch and takedown. When I showed them some wrestling it all changed.

  • @billysue2

well its all a matter of perspective...i have the opposite experience. ive been fighting muay thai for almost 17 years. on the rare occasions i spar with bjj or other grapple fighters, ive almost never been taken down. and the few times i have...well my opponent paid for getting that close and i was able to pop right back up on my feet. for you it all changes when you show some wrestling...for me it all changes once a grappler gets an elbow or knee in the face attempting a takedown.

  • @ouroboroswyrm the problem may be that bjj lads with no experience sparring with strikes get nervous when hit or that bjj lads have useless takedowns in general. Most bjj schools never spar with strikes today, its been lost. All I can tell you is that i and anyone else i know have found takedowns very easy once clinched with any striker regardless of ability,i suppose because i started in striking I dont worry about being hit and can strike as well as most non elite kickboxers.

  • @supermonkey5294 ....BEATING UP GIRLS IS NOTHING TO BE PROUD OF MONKEYBOY

  • @ooohrob aren't u a funny little 5 year old

  • @supermonkey5294 ....NOT AS FUNNY AS YOUR GIRLIE HAIR

  • KM was derived from the most effective parts of several martial arts. And it is battle tested to the nth degree. Most martial artists are useless once they get to the ground unless its judo or bjj. You tend to utilize the moves you practiced over and over. In most martial arts you are learning all kinds of things that probably won't come up if you are attacked. With KM you are only focusing on what might happen if you are attacked.

  • Good post, but I would still like to see KM up against another style.

  • @slimrhcp: Since krav is meant for the street there is limited testing vs "other styles." However, I can tell you that it has saved my life twice, and gotten me out of some other very tight spots (rough high school). In regards to other styles, most of my friends are martial artists and we frequently spar each other. Under their rules, my training has been comparable. When we allow everything but the most maiming attacks, BJJ, TKD, JUDO, Muay thai, boxers - no one - has been able to beat me.

  • you are partially right alkee99. It, like most martial arts, have incorporated many techniques from each other.

What sets KM apart is the mind set and mental training. You are trained to react when stressed without losing time over thoughts. Watch a Thai Boxer and you can see him pick his every move and shot, but a Kravist, when attacked only reacts. Survival.

  • nice sparring man

    i learned alot

i will apply it when i spar

  • WOW you were tired. 6 hours is brutal...

  • Hey this is where I took my Yellow Belt test!!!!

  • cannot really see any difference to JKD, Kick Boxing or even Thai Boxing.........they all seem pretty much the same.

Really they are all the same things with different names.

  • jeet kune do - the way of the intecepting fist. bruce lee said that intercepting then striking is a lot faster than blocking and punching.

kickboxing - an american martial art, its very popular in competitive fighting.

muay thai - "the 8 limb art" you use all 8 limbs when striking, left hand right hand, left elbow right elbow, right knee left knee, left foot right foot. It's a very brutal art when it comes to training, very popular in thailand, so no, none of these are the same at all

  • If you watch the Krav Maga sparring vid and then watch a JKD sparring vid I think you will agree that they look very similar.

Also, in Muay Thai the kicks tend to be with the shin rather than with the foot and with a straight leg - as opposed to Kick Boxing where one would bring up the top half of the leg and then "flick" the kick with the bottom part of the leg. My point was that Krav Maga seems in no way to be radically different to the others I mentioned.
