well you dont restart vista then... click shut down and you shut down... and mac is instant, but since you partitioned your HD for vista (as apposed to say a separate one or Virtual one you get the mac load screen. :\ plus it is old osx, so it might be a little slower... hmm

when you start up the mac you have to hold down the "alt" button to select wether you want to start in vista of os x, other wise it will boot directly into the os you decided to be the primary one

It's very simple to do. All you have to do it open BootCamp to Partition the HD. Then it restarts the computer from the disk and you install Windows. You need the disk that came with your Mac to install the drivers for the speakers and the keyboard.

yes its still a beta version, beta means not finished yet, so you can't just judge an operating systems performance when its a beta version - retail vista SP1 boots in 45 seconds not bad, internet security products will add an extra 30 seconds to a min ontop of that
