  • hes ok as a 14 yr.. i have seen better.

  • Kid is clearly a full step ahead of everyone on the court. He needs to be playing up, 1 or 2 age groups.

  • The number 1 website in the country for discovering new highly talented athletes is Sportspresstv. com their professionals at getting athletes exposure.

  • ok this guys got talent, this guys prety good.

  • I love some of his passes

  • MyPlayMakers I mean if I, could certainly dunk, then even you can, I'm only 5'8 no lie! Pretty much just be dedicated to a working jump system like the one I'm following 50inch vertical[dot]com, it will expand your jump/rebounding and your quickness.

  • #VIDEOPOSTERID# I'm 5 11 and I can do some crazy dunks. Honestly, anyone can do it, just workout the right way. I highly recommend the workout program at 50inch vertical[dot]com but any workout could be used if you know they generate results

14 yr old - Christian Kessee 2007-08 Basketball Highlights

  • this guys a bit like me but i cant shoot long range but i get like 6 blocks a game

  • how tall is he??

  • This guy should check out Sportspresstv. com The site is geared to finding players under the radar. He looks good, but they are the experts.

  • only good D, and this guy is gonna be stopped. if he wrecks the defense, then he's a star.

  • We just finished the Championship game in the Amare Stoudamire tournament which included some good teams from as far a D.C. He Still averaged 17 points against good defense.

  • Update: Christian was injured in June and was in a boot cast for 6 weeks so he played b-ball at 70% this summer. He just came off football playoffs a few weeks ago and his timing on the basketball court was a little off. After 4 games he is averaging 17 pts a game. Foul trouble and blowing out a few teams have hurt his scoring a bit, but I think the game will slow down more in a few games and his overall game should go up. He just turned 16 a few months ago and he is starting to grow again.

  • i wanna play with this guy :D coz hes good :D

  • This guy is really really good. I would die to play this guy. I'm in 9th grade too started in junior varsity in 8th. I play a lot like this guy. But damn, props you gotta good team.

  • This vid is a year and a half old now.

  • i would love to play on this, lol. all freshman? me & a friend were freshmen and we had to play 6th, 7th, and 8th graders on JV. And then of course the seniors and juniors and stuff on varsity. Lol.

  • ALRIGHT

  • this guy is hard

  • aren't point guards suppose to pass a bit more o.0.but hes good.

  • my layups and shots aren't as great as his and i'm a freshman but i dribble a lot more than he does not sure if i'm better though

  • hes really good

and yall need to stop trumpin

  • yo hes iight im 14 n my handles n shot as good as his. bt hes good.

  • Alright! mad skills

  • Chris is doing alright. He has played Varsity an JV this season. I made a big mistake last year. I did not keep him playing basketball during the three month football season. We also changed his shot to start higher. His shot was way off this season and he lost his shooting confidence. But now it's full bore for the spring and summer AAU season in vegas and cali. He didn't grow much last year, but he is only 15yrs old so we'll see.

  • is he always the fastest on the court, because i have good enough speed and i was just wondering

  • hijhgdshgds

  • He plays like me except I can go left as much as right. I don;t do Air Time shit much unless I need to. I can hit the clutch too.

  • WOW

  • Show us new videos of this year season please.

  • Season is just about over. I have been attending 3-5 games a week now that my daughter plays. Along with the training and I just don't have the time.

  • He's alright. Nothing I can't do and I'm younger than him. but I noticed the defense he plays against is terrible. and plus he's only playin on freshman ball. this proves nothing. I start on varsity.

  • blackice, this video is about CHRISTIAN, not about YOU, so shut up, and his parent/guardian alredy said that he was playing junior varsity, so you can shut up now

  • this kids is amazing

  • dame he nice. how tall is he?

  • You'r Very good but you'r always with your Right hands sometime take your left6 and you will be in the top :o!!

  • that kid is going to be great in the future

  • Go to 2:20 to see the OD Charge!

    He dives at the kid

  • just need to hit some weight and he be fine

  • Slam787 you are right. He has made great strides. So far he is 100% stronger than 12 months ago coming out of Jr high. He also has about 15 pounds more muscle in the last 7 months and growing. We have a long way to go.

  • if he wanna play pro he have to push it hard no limits. How old is he?

  • What school and what city/state is this? Plus dude straight.

  • Las Vegas, NV. He Goes to a new two year old HS called Legacy.

  • damn

ima point gaurd myself at oc highschool on the freshmen team but this kid is good

  • he's all right..i mean its hard to judge someone when all you see is the good plays they make. the competition doesn't look that tough, but he has some nice moves

  • ThaReaper01, I don't know how you missed all the assist in the vid? Also, Chris was the designated shooter for some of these last second shots.

  • LMAO look at the cheerleader at 2:00

  • Hey, MyPlayMakers, would you know how tall Kessee is right now? As a 14 yrs old freshman?

  • Just about 5'11" now. He turned 15 in August

and now is a sophmore. My toughest job right now is keeping weight on him. He lost a few pounds during this football season...one more game to go, then it's back to basketball.

  • aye is he poly?

  • thareap, youre an idiot, saying he doesnt like passing....

anyways that cross over at 1 33 was filthy, this kid is very skilled offensively.

  • Wow he's not that good look at all those lil white boys who aint playing no D... he's slow he walked in the lane

  • chris is really good im working hard to be the best i can be in basketball and stay humble at the same time chris will do amazing things

  • That's right...keep up the hard work. I am looking forward to b-ball season after football.

  • Everybody dont have to be great as cezar, cezar is a one of a kind ballplayer. this kid is working hard if he put on dat much weight and improved his vertical. And he can be a great baller if he keep on that work ethic. And besides cezar's is more mature with his body because he's starting to become that age when you stop growin and u kno your body. Dis kid is still growing and learning.

  • My points exactly Scropionman! Thanks for reading my previous remarks before posting.

It's not where you start...it's where you finish and WORK ETHIC has a lot to do with it.

Chris has improved so much from ridn pine in the 7th grade. Play'd varsity for spring league and held his own. Played 15U/16U and scored plenty. Weight trained and plyo to improve strength. Went from 134 to 150 pounds and gaining 1-2 pounds a week. Vert went from 26" to 32-33 inches even with the 16 pound weight gain.

  • Cont...

Chris is still lanky and doesn't have near the quickness and physical maturity of Cezar. And as you stated, Cezar is reaching the peak of his height and is getting used to his size where as chris is a year younger, the same height as Cezar and is projected to grow to 6'2-4" Chris plays JV football and he can't play b-ball as much as dedicated ballers. Actually, he is better at football than basketball. Playing since 6yrs old. Coaches would like him to play Varsity F-ball this year!

  • Scropioman, check out Chris's latest video from UCLA basketball camp in July. He did pretty good. We still have a looooong way to go.

  • this guy doesnt have skill for shit

man c.j. will sick kill him

n this is bearly freshman ball...easy

  • Recinos, I already posted regarding Cezar. Just read below. We know Cezar's good and we practice to catch up to him. Your opinion on Chris's skill is meaningless...you established your lack of b-ball knowledge with that comment since anyone can see that Chris can play better than average.

I'll repost my response to Bigmunee again.

  • I agree Bigmunee, Chris and I think Cezar is great! Chris is working hard to catch Cezar. Cezar has been playing b-ball a lot longer. Chris got serious about 2 yrs ago. Also, Cezar is 16 and Chris is still 14 yrs old. They are about the same height (5'11"), but Cezar is more physically mature and weighed about 26 pounds more than Chris when these games were shot. Chris has gained 11 pounds since these games and improved his vertical by 6-7 inches. Cezar and others give us something to shoot for.

  • I dont know about that cezar kid but this kid has game control not trying to be a showoff and still gets it done.Keep working with him and sub my videos.

  • shorty is cold!! nobody can deny that...to be that young he gotta good grasp of whats goin on out on the court...I was good like him but I got in trouble off the court...I hope young Kessee is reading this...peace

  • CharlieFlyy, Chris will read this. Thanks for

    posting

  • this kid is good man.

  • it look like he playn jv ball

  • hes playin freshmen ball guys

  • That's true JiggaJay, but at least he was taking it to them. He'll see these same guys when he's a senior. Chris will out work them all over the next three years and pull farther away from them.

  • Hes nice and has potential, if he works hard hell go D1. But he needs 2 work work on dat left hand. Yo hows his outside game? I didn't see much shooting in the vid

  • SGKingPhill, working hard is the key. Chris practices dribbling and shooting constantly.

Check out his AAU and UCLA camp Video if you have time.

  • this guy is nothing special...

  • That's why we train so hard. the goal is to be something special.

  • The guy is a beast

  • Not yet, but he has the potential.

  • Ha he was punishin those boys

  • I am a sophmore and will be playing varsity f-ball

  • What is your Christian favorite sport?

  • Candy, it was football for 8 years until last summer. Now he says both and doesn't want to choose one right now. He starts JV football next week. He is really good in F-ball. Last year he would play entire games on freshaman without coming out many times. He'd play receiver, punt return, kick return and switch between corner and safety on defense. They would've moved him up to JV if he wasn't 129 pounds. He understand the game of football because of playing QB for 6 yrs in Pop Warner.

  • he does got enough talent to top Cezar

  • If use his left hand, he could be better than Cezar.

  • It gonna take a lot of left hand usage and more to top Cezar.

  • Very good vision for a 14 year old. Very talented. He obviously has the gift just needs to work hard and grow a little. He has a strong left hand but use it a little more, become ambidextrous, being able to use both hands and go both ways is a huge advantage when ur young. Just checked out Cezar Guerros highlight tape. Hes got some good competition.

  • Your right Tim2151, the left is so important.

We do drills. He is lifting weights to get his left much stronger.

Cezar's video's are sweet and I am impressed with him...give's us something to shoot for.

Ceasar is a year older than chris and he has a strength, maturity advantage. They are both about the same height (5'11"), but Cesar is about 15 pounds heavier. We can make up for that with a lot of practice, training and time.

  • U have a very professional outlook on things. I like how u say Cezar gives us something to shoot for. Sounds like u know what u are doin so good luck to you and Christian. Truthfully I would pick him over Cezar anyday with that vision and poise. Yall keep up the hard work.

  • Thanks. Our goal by next summer is 6'2" 175-185 pound point guard, better dribbler, good mid shooter, Good college line 3 pt shooter, big time strength, 4.5 sec 40 dash, with a 36-40 inch vertical. This will send his athleticism through the roof.

If we reach these goals, I believe he will have a coming out party in 16U next year. Maybe even 17U. We are on pace to reach these goals ahead of next summer. I'm using the physical numbers from the likes of Derrick, Rose, Russell Westbrook, etc.

  • this kid good but cezar does this to the top players in the country n they both in the same class

  • Bigmunee, interesting thing. Cezar was invited to UCLA's elite camp, so I know they like him and Chris attended UCLA's summer b-ball camp and did very well. I posted a vid of some of the action. Chris received several awards.

  • good court vision

  • Fair dos

Thanks for the video anyway dude

  • he's decent...he's all right hand at the moment

    Good though

  • Quite a few of the clips he is going left...don't know how you missed it!

Blackbot, the video you are watching are older clips...click on the UCLA Camp Response and see the difference. 6-9 months later he is playing older kids and going left often. We

work on the left hand quite often. Thanks for the feedback.

  • yes going left...with his right hand. I didn't miss anything.

    Fair enough, old footage.

And you don't have to jump down the throat of anyone who isnt amazed by this video. Sheesh.

  • I replied "Thanks for the feedback" in my post. I actually replied with a smile...should have put "smile" to let you know. I apologize if you got that impression so I will be more considerate in the future. I just enjoy replying to posters. Also, I understand that no post here will have any bearing on his future...hard work and persistent will.

Blackbot, none of Chris's videos are amazing to me, so I wouldn't jump down someone's throat who feels the same way I do. They just create buzz!

  • i seen him go left alot and use his left hand on lay-ups and dribble, just need 2 work on the left hand passing i didn't really see none of that

  • I agree. We will work on it. Thanks for the feedback.

  • And i would like to comment on callie...Chris paul didnt play varsitu his freshman year...Actuall he started playing varsity his junior year...So it could happen...You do like all kids and just het your game up like im trying to do.

  • Chris paul also said that people didn't think he would be that good because he didn't play varsity until he was a junior. He just kept working and training more than the next kid to get better. He improved more each year than the players around him. If you see his workout since getting to the NBA you will see he works hard with dribbling drills, plyo, weight lifting and shooting drills.

  • Well. The reason he didnt play varsity his freshman year because you can only play varsity for 3 years no more.

  • ImBored I never heard that before.

  • lol wow no comment on how u keep tabs on his weight vertical, drills/workouts, and etc. but statistics show that there are about 500,000 high school basketball players in America and out of that large amount of players there will only be 50 who'll make it to the nba. so dont get ur hopes up, most nba players are noticed by scouts when they were in middle school. and most played varsity there freshmen year in high school. so why deprive him of the best years of his life???

  • Callie, you remind me of the average to below average person that never goes after his/her dream because the odds are stacked against you. And, now you spend your precious time posting on Youtube trying to discourage others.

Now, nowhere in my post on 5 videos do I ever mention the NBA as a goal. I just want my son to play a sport he loves in college and get a scholarship to the best school possible. That's his goal, so it is mine.

Having said that...let's talk about Chris.

  • For example, he decided in the 3rd grade he wanted to be the fastest math multiplier in his elemetary doing 1 to 12x's tables. Two months later he set the recored which still stands at the school.

In fact, he is so driven that we have to make him not do things sometime. I have to tell him he can't go to the gym. Most, people like you can't imagine what it's like, so you comment from a position of mediocrity!

We try to balance him out so he doesn't drive himself crazy...lol.

  • Callie, sometimes it blows me away when I see him decide to go outside in 110 degree weather and do dribbling drills....I have to give him my best, so I take him to the gym. He could't play b-ball a lick two years ago. His game is improving so fast, it has surprised me and some of the kids who used to dominate him. I have NEVER had to ask him to practice...NOT ONCE...I've only had to tell him to take a break and let his body recover! Deprive him of his childhood...he's having to much FUN!

  • imma freshmen im lookin fo new talant so i can like see who im competin wit competition iz gonna be hard

  • It's always good to know who the competition will be over the next 3 years.

Even though Chris is 14 he will be a sophmore this coming school year. Are you going to be a freshman this year or next?

  • sophmore

  • is he going to be playing varsity or jv next year?

  • We get to choose. If he gains the additional 12-22 pounds and improves his handle and vertical by another 6 inches, then Varsity is ok. He is on pace to do that.

I would rather him play JV, play the point the whole game and feel free to drive, assist and shoot at will, than to play a quarter of the game on Varsity. He's been playn with the Varsity Team since March and has been ok.

  • my playmaker he is really good im 14 and i play to but u guys keep p the good work

  • Thanks..we have a lot of work to do to reach the level of the top freshman point guards from last year. Just look at Cezar Guerrero on youtube. Cezar is a year older than chris as were most freshman he played against, but we can't use that as an excuse!

Chris's body is starting to grow and his athleticism is coming on fast from working out, so we should be ok.

  • ok but can u recomend a video camera that i can get. yours seems ok. Wat 1 do u have?

  • Mine is about 3 years old. You can get much better ones for what I paid for mine...about $300

  • And by the way are ur sure its safe to do weight training at this age?

  • He's doing fine, not to heavy weights. We also do plyo and it works great. Chris has played tackle football since he was 6yrs old. Now he is playing JV Football and needs more muscle developement and weight to move to Varsity F-Ball.

  • Im sorry but he's just not that good. He is slightly over average for his age but i know 7 people that are bettert than him at that age (including me). But hes ok, keep training! And by the way the other teams were crp i mean that guy got broke off that weak move at 1.40?

  • Ben, you don't have to be sorry, it's just your opinion, which has no effect on Chris's future.

    Are you in High School?

    Are you 14yrs old?

Also, it would be great if you could guide us to some video of you or the 7 people you refer to. I'm sure you would agree that it is better to let your play do the talking rather than your mouth.

  • Dats right brother

  • i assume this is legacy high in vegas if so this kid cant be that good if i never heard of him living in vegas the past 6 years. plus he plays on a freshman team how good can you be?

  • Chris is a decent player for 14yrs old and he trains to get better. Not sure what you living in vegas for 6 years has to do with it since he was 7-8yrs old when you moved here.

Since a freshman can't be that good unless you've heard of them. Please tell me who they are in vegas?

By-the-way, Chris has been playn with the varsity team since Feb, but I'm sure you haven't heard!

  • doesnt matter where he is now all im saying is hes on a court with people his size and doesnt stand out. im sure hes a good player and hope he continues to develop. but you said he plays with people 2 years older where are there 16 year old freshman. also if you where serious about playing basketball legacy is one of the last 5 schools in that city someone would go to.

  • You are one of the few who doesn't think he stands out in the video clips and that's your opinion. I now see you don't know much about b-ball and that's ok. The only time he doesn't stand out is against good varsity players/teams, but he does ok.

Chris just returned from UCLA B-ball camp and all of the coaches said he stood out in the

16-18 yr old division after watching him play two games a day. He receive 3 of 5 awards while at the camp. It was a good camp for us.

  • The competition was decent at the camp. Coach

Ben Howland came over to me and asked about

his age, year, and AAU team after coaches

told him to watch chris and a few others play. The coaches liked his ball handling and figure Chris will be a 6'2"-4" point guard and that he should gain weight and strength

to help his game get to the next level.

We will keep working hard and let the chips fall where they may.

  • Squirt, I removed your post by mistake when I tried to reply to it. Keep up the good work!

  • I have become a firm believer in plyo/medium weight lifting. Chris recorded a no step vert of 22" and max vert of 27" in feb at the frosh/soph football combine. We started plo/weights/nutrition in march and by late June his vert jumped to 26" no step and 33" max vert! He gained 9 pounds during this time(134 to 143) also his 40 dropped .2 tenths. Will help his reciever/corner spots for f-ball and a quicker/more athletic b-ball pt guard. I recommend plyo for any HS player who is serious...it works

  • its all about what he can do on a national level becas thats when u see how good you really r The competition he's playing with is pretty week. if he can do the same to the boys from dc ny philly and everywhere else than he would be a prospect but i honestly dont think he is i averaged 15 points and 8 assists aau season and i could tell u there were players way better than me who were supposedly fourteen. all people like me and him could do is keep loving the game and playing ballgood luk to us

  • He made most of the freshman teams he played against last year look weak...that's why he's playing varsity now. Although, I might have him play JV this coming year so he can start at Point and play 90% of the game for b-handling experience. The key is, he is improving fast from training. 7th grade he rode the bench, 8th grade was an average player in junior hs, 9th grade better than 90% of the freshman I saw him play against in 3 states. 10th, 11th, 12th...train and out drill them all! Goodluck!

  • i give respect where respect is due... he's nice. i'm 14 years of age myself and i play basketball every single day. Going into freshman year next year i'm looking forward to being the starting guard for jv and getting on that varsity team. I love seeing competiton like this on youtube because its very inspiring. i'm sorry to say this but i really feel like your kind of putting him out there like he's a prospect. he's nice but so are millions of others including me.

  • MA533R24, Chris is an up and coming player just like you and youtube is a great way to put yourself out there ...you should have your father post on youtube for you like I do for Chris. Chris has been playing varsity for the spring league and is doing ok. If you read all of my post from the beginning you will see how hard we work, train and plan. We know we have to out work everyone else with drills and weight training to be "nicer" than most by the start of his senior year.

  • i gess i got sum competition. coz im da same age az he iz. es got sum skill, i cant argue wid dat. i tink ma ball handles r about da same az his, but anywayz, god luk b. ope 2 c u at da top togeva. coz im cumin up.

  • Good to see you believe in yourself. You have to have that to reach the top no matter who tries to slam you and put you down. Chris thrives on people telling him what he can't do!

  • your right. Im 14 myself but I am not a scorer. I pride myself on bein the brain on the offensive end making sure evrything runs smoothly and locking down on my man. I would hope to play this kid. He seems like a true point guard. He reminds me of kenny anderson a bit

  • Claude, just keep working hard...you haven't hit your maturity and that makes a world of difference. Thanks for the comparison.

  • if u guyz notice the teams he play have terrible on ball and team defense. If he played my freshman team he would be on lockdown. Our opponets averaged 45 ppg. Finished the season 24-0 and won the 2008 freshman county championship. We played true defense

  • Also if you were anything good you would be on varsity, shut up. no one cares about your team

  • i am on varsity if you really wanted to know. And no one cares about this kid other than his friends parents and his coach. And whatever happen to accepting constructive criticism...

  • Claude, he played against good defensive 16U teams in the BCA Memorial Day tourny in cali which is know for top AAU teams. Chris averaged about 14 pts a game and 4 assist. I'm sure your freshman team is good, but Chris has played against at least 20 15U and 16U teams in two other states in the last 2 months and they didn't stop him....that's just the truth. Also, he isn't one of those

16yr old superstar 9 graders. He is 14 right now!

  • Claude, saying no one cares about this kid except his friends, parents and coach is not

constructive critism when you know nothing about him.

You spoke from a position of Ignorance which is common on youtube, so no hard feelings!

I will only say that I am 90% sure Chris will be invited to an elite camp for recruits at a top school in the pac 10 next year...won't say who at this time. Had a few miscues and he missed going this year. Give him time to hit puberty, he should be alright.

  • hes just ok, im in 7th grade rite now and put up stats like that all the time, i averaged 11 and 8assists in school ball

  • Hes good but he still needs to put in a lot more work. Match up between him and Cezar Guerrero.

  • Take it from me (Chris's dad), Cezar is ahead of him right now, but we are training hard! Cezar is more physically mature, bigger and at least a year older maybe two. I don't know how old Cezar is but Chris is still 14 years old. He's playing varsity for the spring and summer and doing ok. At 5'10-1/2" and 143 pounds he is getting out muscled in the games. He's put on 9 pounds in the last 3 months. With his new diet we will add another 17 pounds and 30% more strength in 4-6 mos. Should help him.

  • Just to let you know how far he's come. He rode the bench in the 7th grade and everyone played before he did....maybe played about 2 minutes a game near the end. Two years later he's this far. Basketball is his secondary sport. He's played tackle football since he was 7 yrs old. In fact, last season he played reciever, corner, punt return and kick off return in almost every game!

    Thanks for the constructive comments.

  • He aint that good. I mean weak defence and he doesnt pass unless i could be an assist.Tryin to get up his own stats.

  • I agree...the kid is selfish but dear God he's 14 and handling the rock like his momma smoked it!

  • He's got a lot of work ahead of him and we know that. He also prides himself on the dimes he dishes out. Maybe I should put together a video of some of the 100+ assist he had.

  • Just to let you know he led the team in assist as well as points.

  • I don't know if he will be ready for Varsity in the next 5/6 months. He's getting bigger, quicker and stronger every month. His ball handling skills are growing steadily. I am more interested in him getting alot of playing time at the point position and maybe JV is the best for now.

  • Pt is very important, so many kids want to be on varsity even if it means sitting the bench with minimal PT. Either way keep recording, so Jr and Sr year, put some compilation dvd's together and start shipping away! So many schools out there, lots with the ability to dish out some cash for free education just to play some basketball. Thats what we try to focus on with our kids we coach. Free money for school.

  • We went to the BCA Memorial Tournament in Cali last week! He played 15U with the Las Vegas Dynasty and did well. His team played their last 4 games against 16U...beat three of them and lost to the top 16U team in the championship. His 15U team even beat their older 16U team from Las Vegas to get to the championship....it was impressive!

Not sure why they didn't move him up to JV. But right after the season ended in Feb he started playing tournaments with the Varsity team.

  • im sure you will be at the main event in vegas July 22-26. We are trying to put a team together now, dependant upon if parents can afford it. WE are low cost and trying to secure sponsership to help some out that may need it. Hopefully it all works out for the kids and we get them out there.

  • We were doing 5 days of moderate plyo work with many different exercises back in feb/mar to feel out what we thought would work best. Since that time we are down to two times a week because of the football/basketball team practices. He went from a 22" standing vert to 26" and his max vert with steps is just over 29" He touch the rim for the first time last month(May). We are shooting for 36 by next summer and 40+ by the year after. I think maturity will help...he won't be 15 until late August.

  • impressive. Just wonder why he didnt play JV. Its obvious the freshman level was not challenging. May I suggest working on the left hand. If you notice he will dribble a few times left then put it back to his right. SHould be compfortable enough to go full court left hand full speed then expode properly for a left hand layup. Also footwork, on one of your slo-mo replays near the end, you can clearly see him travel. Just a suggestion. Keep it up, clearly a talented player.

  • You are absolutely correct! We go over every game film and I mentioned the same things to him back in January during the season. We use a heavy basketball for left hand dribbling practice to get the arm stronger and with more control.

I noticed that he went full court several times left-hand only with fakes while guarded tightly at the tournament in May...we have been working to remove all of the

    faults....long way to go.

I appreciate the honest positive feedback!

  • You are welcome. I use a heavy ball as well for training, have you tried the big ball? I used in when i played as well as have my kids use it, forces kids to open up their hands and when going back to reg. ball, seems to help with control. I think $15-20 on sports authority onine for a rubber one. Cant wait to see vids of him next year, or hopefully of him in some summer tourneys.

  • Don't give away all of the training secrets and don't let him get the "big head." K

  • Yea...thanks. I just show him the best fresman around the country and he knows he has

    to keep working.

  • I Live in Arizona. You are right about 16yo freshmans! lol. Arizona has three freshmans that are nice, all putting up huge numbers on varsity. One is 6'0" doing 360 reverse dunks (seen it with my own eyes) they play for top aau team in california, Pump N Run I think. Either way. Him and the kids I coach have A LOT of work ahead of them.

  • this kid reminds me alot like deron williams

  • That's a heck of a compliment...maybe in few years he'll be the size of Deron!

  • wow this kid reminds me alot like deron williams

  • This kid is descent

  • Thanks, He's improving fast...there are alot of freshman across the country that are ahead of him right now, so the training continues.

  • Memphis sure could've used you last night Christian!!! Best of luck to you my brother!!!

  • Chris's gained 8 pounds in the last 6-7

weeks. He is now 5'10 142 pounds.

We are going to keep working hard because

there are a lot of good freshman around the

country that are competing for free rides in

2011! And some are already 16 and 17 years

old....lol, so they already have 2-3 years of

playing time over Chris....no excuses for us,

we'll just keep working harder than the next.

  • The clips are from his Freshman Team 2007-08

Chris had a good season on the freshman team

playing point guard. Now he's playing on the

Varsity team for the Spring League tourny.

After four games I can see he's getting more

comfortable with the speed, weight and strenth

of the players. Most are 16-18 years old and

have a definite maturity advantage over him.

He's weight lifting and doing plyo 5 times a

week. We're also doing days of dribbling and shooting drills.
