  • About to try my first, wish me luck.. :)

  • SMOKE THAT SHIT

  • what kind of string is tht? and where can i get some at?

  • @Ashleyisawesome328 This is "hemp" twine. You can find it at normally every craft store, i.e. Joanns etc. Sometimes Walmart may have it, I haven't seen it in ours for awhile. Occasionally there will be some by the gardening center, in Walmart since they're not as crafty as Joanns and don't consider it for crafting.

    Hope this helped.

  • Hi, im Karen

  • @MrMikeWolfgang I Thought you were Mike

  • will the hemp strings be irritating on skin? coz the string seemed to be those used to tie stuff. whr can i get them and any other type of strings i could use?

  • @freeapple91 Hemp jewelry string is not the same as the twine or jute used for tying together stuff in the garage or garden. It's tough, but softer on the skin. And the more you wear it, the softer it gets. Don't know where you're from. I live in a medium sized city in Michigan, and can easily find hemp string at craft stores like Michael's. Or online. Wherever they sell supplies for making jewelry and crafts with beads.

    Have fun!

  • Thin string is ideal for necklace or bracelet. Thicker hemp/string best for keychains.

length: the middle 2 determines how long you want your bracelet/necklace/keychain to be. the one on the left and on the right has to be longer than the 2 running down the middle. Try double the length. For example for a keychain: middle 2 (length) is 5inches, the one on either side has to be 10inches or 15inches. you kind of have to experiment with the 2 on the side. Hope I helped :)

  • @atticus27 !!!! it's ye'boy Scout!

  • If im making a bracelet whats a good size to use like ive seen .5mm diamter and 1mm diamtr idk what to use

  • strange thing, I only see the writings, white letters on black background, hardly transparent, it covers the whole picture... I can't see the demonstration of how to do it... how come ???

  • @AniiOrtiz ok, If everyne is going to be a dumb fuck and take offense to my totaly sarcastic comment regarding pot, then just forget it. It was meant to be directed at dumb ass druggies like me wanting to make hemp bracelets. And no shit you cant get high off of hemp thread. You obviously didnt get my steriotype

  • @goldphishie - Your sooo wrong about your stoner comment because ive never smoked a day and my life i just like the design and style of the braclets..

  • what type of string is that?

  • @shahromable2 Hemp

  • THANK you so much youve helped me alot! ur awesome

  • how to you get the first knot on the top with the nail there?

  • @yoshiBOYY u put just a normal knot

  • Ok, let me rephrase that. Most people watching this are spaced out stoners or 12 year old girls getting back from church camp

  • i find it funny how proffesional she talks when most poeple watching this are spaced out stoners

  • @goldphishie Not me!

  • @goldphishie hey! there's nothin wrong with stoners!

  • how did she even start out with the first knot on the nail?

  • you might want to consider to include how much hemp people will need and also how u tied the knot in the beginning for people who are first timer's.. just a thought.

  • how do u start with the putting the hemp string on the nail

  • what kind of thread stuff do you use

  • @bubba97h its called hemp:)

  • Measurements would be helpful.

  • i hate expertvillage

  • Put a damn beed on it!

  • how about showing us how to START it first?!!!! plz and thanx

  • it would help if you GAVE US A MEASUREMENT FIRST!!!

  • @lpoland1000 i think the 2 strings you knot with should be longer that the 2 strands in the middle. the 2 middle strands would be close to the actual length. that's all i know lol

  • thank you very much.your video really helped me get this down.I can now expand upon my jewelery expertise that much more.thanks again.

  • What does carrier thread mean?

  • What are the measurements?

  • how the hell do you make that starting loop

  • @phaserbeamoflight you just tie a normal knot (with two pieces so you have four coming down from it.)

  • @snowXcapXangel thanks i was doing it with four and it wasn't working hahaha

  • ITS WORKING :D

    Thank you so much

  • That looks just like a "cobra weave" ,Is it a different name for the same thing?

  • very fine instructions, but there is a faster way of tying a square knot it is shown on a site called oh-ka-noi. you people asked me to make a video so i did. watch her learn how to tie a square knot then watch me at oh-ka-noi and learn how to tie it twice as fast

  • i did 30 inches for the carriers and 60 inches for the knotters. youll have some extra space but it gives you room to work

  • YOU CAN BUY Embroidery Floss AT MICHAELS THE ART AND CRAFT STORE THATS WHERE I BOUGHT MINE U CAN BUY A PACK WITH ALOT OF COLURS FOR $3.99 SOMETIMES IF U WANT A EVEN BIGGER PACK ITS $16.99 ... GLAD I CCAN HELP.....

  • GO HEMP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

    its great for the environment:D

  • how do you start this?

  • hmm where can you buy that kind of string?

  • @12dork34 grow a plant and make it

  • just made this bracelet!

    its awesome, thank you!

  • omg. this video just made my day. ive always wondered how to make these!!!

  • i believe this is also known as a cobra stitch.

  • @rivamous you need two strings and each string should be four feet and then you fold them in half

  • @woahhemilyy whaaaa??no just 1 string

  • this is a cool vid:) When you get a chance come check out my channel:)

  • Thanks XD

  • looks cool but i would have liked it if you showed the finished product.

  • make more

  • wow u make it seem super easy :D thanks and i understand

  • my god thank you so much! i watched a different video on this and it confused me so much!

  • Hey Thanks alot,Ill start making my ancklet now.

  • How do i make the initial loop which is round the nail?

  • That was just a basic tied know.

You want two lengths, one twice the size of the other. To tie the knot you fold them both at the centre, then to a basic know to tie them together.

  • i'm tryin to make these but the knotters are getting shorter than the rest of the bracelet wut i'm i doin wrong.

  • @ariescutie76 You're not doing anything wrong, in fact it is supposed to be shorter then your carriers. You want to have your knotters to be longer at first. so it will accommodate the the knots that you are making. So it will get shorter, hope this helped you.

  • @armydude4567 thanks.

  • The knotter should be double the size of the carrier.

  • What if we want to put beeds in between??? then what do we do!??? plzz some1 tell me :)

  • @MoneyLoveMakeup When I make these, I slide beads onto the two middle pieces of hemp. And then continue knotting.

  • wow i have no idea how you even made the first thing with the nail...

  • omg thank you so much..., now i know..send me links of your videos, i enjoy making these! (:

  • im trying this rite now im making it now and watching this video its easy and good gift for friends =]

  • @slowwgirl Ya know if ya like makin them like me i have a small shop :D that sells them:D

  • This is awsome!

;) So trying this out ^^

  • how many pieces of thread do we need and how long do they have to be?

  • 4 pieces and just use long strands

  • @th3FORM

2 pieces doubled over to make it 4.

  • Nice !

  • How about giving measurement first?

  • @paulie227 i did 30 inches for carriers and 60 for the knotters theres extra room at the end so you could do 20 by 40 if you want

  • @paulie227 usually its the length from your wrist to your elbow :)

  • u sux

  • how do you do this with 2 different colors for it can show??will you make a video on that?

  • @jjackson4ever just take to different color strands and start it how u normally would

  • i luv doing this it is sooo fun

  • Comment removed

  • THANKS soooo much! this is awesome!

  • I love making these

  • finally the first vid i understand!!! =D

  • wat is that very very first knot thats already made b4 she starts?

  • thats just a simple over hand knot

  • I don't know what it's called but it's very easy and well known, as well known as tying your shoes. You just take all the threads you're using and make a loop, then pull all threads through the loop and it's a knot. It's basically just so the hemp doesn't come undone.

  • i already no how ha!

  • so how long does your strings have to be?

  • I'm guessing how ever long enough till it fits your hands?

I've made friendship bracelets before and they're just arm's length.

  • actually with hemp I've found it's better to make the strings much longer so you'll end up with extra versus not enough. So start out with like 3 feet and you'll for sure be safe :)

  • THANK YOU, THIS IS GREAT.

  • thanks.

  • lol you have almost the same name as I do. My name is K Eren not K Aren.... mine was almost going to be Kerenaphuc, but is sounded weird so they decided to name me Keren. Oh and by the way you said carriage and loop too many times.Try saying only the first times, because then, it's like hearing a tape recoder over and over and over.

  • thanks. some people from camp did this but i never knew how :-)

  • ok. well if you have made braclets before this is a great video. you can just use craft string and it turns oout great. just tie the middle string to some thing it make it alot easyer

  • this was soooo helpful thank you soo much!!

  • yall are annoyin

  • VVV :( lmfao .

  • expert village is an epic fail, just stop trying.

  • @HIPHOPrevoltion stop saying epic fail. you are gay

  • this is cool. where can you buy hemp string?

  • I saw some at walmart in the crafts section.

  • Hobby Lobby, or Michaels, or any craft store.

  • MICHAELS

  • Okay, I have made my 1st. bracelet, now How do I end it or how do I close it up to wear it????? Please help, ANYONE!!!

  • wow, thnks! ive been dying to knw how to make these (:

  • Can anyone tell me what length the strings need to be?

  • I make these all the time...the best thing I have learned as far as finding the right length is figure out how long the end product needs to be, and make the strings 6 times longer than that. So:

ie) I need a 1 foot long necklace, so I will use six feet of string per working end.

The middle strings never get used, at least not in this style, so you done have to make them as big as the working ends. Make them a little larger than you want the end product to be, so as to be able to tie a knot.

  • however long you want them to be but the two you're crossing would obviously need to be longer than the two in the middle.

  • I'm about to make my first one, but i he strings should be about 6 times longer then the length you want the bracelet/ necklace to be

  • watch a different video showing you

  • i can teach better than that and i just stared to hemp god she sucks
