It is the month when muslims fast and try to become better human beings by controlling their behaviour, their eyes, their mouths and their ears too. Fasting helps build self discipline. It is also known to have extraordinary benefits for the human health and body.
It needs to be noted that muslims do not fast the WHOLE month, but they fast everyday, sunrise to sunset, for a whole month.

Ramadan is basically a holy month for Muslims, the month when the Quran was first revealed. In this month Muslim fast from dawn until dusk, during this duration we cant eat or drink.
This month is also about our behavior, giving more to charity doing alot of good..
This does not mean that Muslims are allowed to be bad all year round, this behavior (doing good deeds) are encourage everyday BUT more emphasize is given in Ramadan..... mail me if u want to know more
