@scientifico wow I had forgotten when it came on and that mutual of omaha came on same night,I was a little boy then and i liked the jungle stuff then, now I am an old man and love carol burnett
Years of Sunday (?) nights around our 1 TV growing up watching CB-such wonderful memories. All the cast was funny as s--t. Thanks for putting this on the Tube.
Carol Burnett is the all time queen of comedy! Matter of fact the whole gang was the best. As a kid growing up watching this I had such a crush on Vickie Lawrence.
i forgot there were so many funny ones. I wish i could find this skit where carol plays an alcoholic named jane who uses the same routine with guys at this bar. it was so hilarious
Carol Burnett is my hero. I am only 16 and I watch clips of her show soooo much. I will meet this amazing woman someday! I don't know when or how, but I WILL DO IT!! :-D
I remember watching this show RELIGIOUSLY with my mom every week! I was probably three or four. When the end of the show came on with the credits rolling, and the caroon of Carol mopping the floor ending up with the bucket over her head... man! For some reason, that used to scare me. But WHAT a CLASSIC show! TV today comes nowhere NEAR close to Carol Burnett and friends!
@LILBUDDYRaffa It was part of a string of parodies they made for their "Salute to Movie Series". I think it was Season 7. I've always thought that Vicki's playing up the Jewish aspect of Maria Ouspenskaya was a stroke of comedic genius!
@livelifealwaysx3 That is indeed Cher....back when there was still some of her left. Hilarious how she couldn't keep a straight face after referring to herself as "an ordinary housewife". lol
I absolutely love this!!! Thank you so much for posting, do you have the entire skit from :50? or any of the queen ones? If so I would love to see them! Thank you again for posting these awesome clips. XD
CHER! Some of the stuff from the Carol Burnett Show was used on the Sonny and Cher Comedy hour when it first started. Love both of those shows and I'm only 15. I even got my friends to watch some of the clips on YouTube and they were laughing hysterically.
Thank you for posting all the clips from the Carol Burnett Show. It brings back great memories from when I was a kid watching it on Saturday nights with my parents. You could hear my mother laugh a block away! Thank you for bringing back such wonderful memories!
I grew up watching this show with my grandma and we used to laugh ourselves silly. As I got older I realized how much ground breaking Carol did on tv as a comedienne. AND as a dramatic actress, she got a Golden Globe nomination as best actress for the film "The Life of the Party", a true story. I'm posting for other fans in L.A. who might want a chance to see her in person, she's hosting and will do a Q&A after.
Go to Friendly House LA (dot) o r g to see an invite.
