  • fuck...."#$"#% miss the 90´s sooooo bad.

  • @HMoreaux1977 its the best vocalist ever. my rock god lol

  • Wait this is Live And Loud? Not go be all Nirvana is better blah blah blah, thats not what im saying, i like them both, but Nirvana's Live and Loud was 100 times better, just more lively

  • Chris cornell el mejor, lejos

  • Es una droga musical... nociva para el pensamiento pero no para la salud!! excelente!

  • nothing seems to kill me..

  • I've always thought that Chris Cornell looks like Christian Bale. lol! By the way, this song is my favorite Soundgarden song, along with Jesus Christ Pose.

  • good stuff, as always.

  • jediMasterCheryl Oh c'mon it wasnt that year, maybe a little later because this song is awesome and it was released in 1996.

  • OMG.

  • real music died somewhere in the late 90s. i know some people like to say that theres still good music around, and that you just have to look for it. i doubt it. The White Stripes were one of the best bands of the last decade and they are nowhere near the same level as bands like Soundgarden and Alice In Chains. its like bands from today stop giving a shit about writing epic songs. nothing on the radio makes me feel anything anymore.

  • @r4scuache I totally agree. I think for our generation 'the day the music died' was on 5 April 1994. It never quite recovered from that, did it?

  • @JediMasterCheryl oh c'mon it wasn't that year, maybe a little later. this song is awesome and it was released in 1996.

  • @Malcolmarzan80 I was speaking about the death of Cobain. I saw Soundgarden live in 1996 at the Mammoth Event Center in Denver. Apologies for any confusion.

  • @r4scuache I agree and disagree...the music from the mid-90s and before was EPIC, but there is some good music out there today, you do have to look harder though....It was the same in the 80s at times, the music on the radio SUCKED and it does now too, except classic rock and older alternative. Good music never dies.

  • @rsohlich1 Everyone always said "you just have to look hard for it" i've looked, and still can't find anything, can you tell me some new stuff you think is good?

  • @r4scuache You really said it man, I couldn't agree more.

  • @r4scuache This is because unfortunately bands are into playing folk influenced music at the moment. Thats great if you like your music tame. But if you dont, it leaves a huge hole in the rock music scene.

  • @r4scuache and then theres the Foo Fighters!

  • @r4scuache meh, just a gap...

every decade had its share of total shit.

during the time of alice in chains there was the backstreet boys.

    we must wait. or create.

  • @r4scuache amen bro.

  • This truly is their best recordings live. Amazing songs :X:X:X:X:X

  • cornell sounded awesome back then.

  • @gotti317 he still does.

  • If music was made up of different countries...then its a good thing soundgarden rules grunge

  • I just love this song!

  • Is this the version that they released on telephantasm?

  • @cheezytaz yes

  • @cheezytaz yes, and I was happy to find this on there. Great version

  • who watch MTV now... here's YouTube..

  • @k0pikolombia maybe thats why they have gone from a music channel to a reality, shit hole.

    fuck my life.

  • Yeah when MTV was showing real shit. Not all this urban crap. I thought the idea of having a couple different MTV channels was to split the difference but alas, greats like this don't hit the channel anymore.

  • What's that "M" in the corner?

  • @gibsonguitar11 MTV...?

  • To think Chris Cornell said no to become lead singer of Velvet Revolver....

  • there is something mesmerizing beautiful about this song -- and about Chris Cornell in particular!

  • dunno why this song reminds me of the Beatles somehow

  • This is on the deluxe edition of Telephantasm, though it says "MTV Live and Loud" Doesn't "Live" usually involve in a crowd?

  • wow. i never new mtv had real music

  • thank god for soundgarden!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Chris Cornell rocks and he was so pretty to look at

  • @SeventhHeaven5655 "was"?! He still is pretty!

  • there are no words to describe how beautiful this band's music is

  • Oh no Chris Cornell, is a terrorist!!!! Aaaack! :D :D

  • Leonel1993, it wouldn't be the cameraman to blame, but the director and/or editor of the video.

Besides, I saw plenty of shots of the rest of the band. Can't deny, though, that this song is about the lyrics -- and they come from the singer's mouth, so that's where the focus is.

  • Brilliant performance. Definitely can see why this version was chosen to be on Telephantasm.

  • This song is about not getting high or drunk enough.

  • Somebody should tell the camera man that Soundgarden isn't just Chris Cornell, I mean, does he know there is a band behind him?

  • this made my heart all fluttery

  • 1996 - the beginning of the end for chris and soundgarden

  • @rocketqueen18 Your birthday- beginning of the end for you

  • @rocketqueen18 2010 - The reunion of of Chris and SoundGarden.

  • Amazing!

  • Who are the 10 morons that disliked this? Names please, I need to know exactly who to avoid! lol

  • @flowrpowrlovechild Hilarious! F 'em for real!

  • Chris went from writing songs like this to the Scream album... It's scary.

  • @hansen6102 come on give Scream and Chris some credit. That album didn't need Timbaland, Chris makes it sound so much better live.

  • I hope to christ they make a new album.

  • @TheFragile89 You mean i hope to CHRIS they make a new album.

  • @Emceetem yeh,...typo hehe.

  • Ain't that an SM57? We use these to mic amps or acuistic instruments.

  • @DSCKSR it can be used for vocals and instruments

  • @BMGStammer Chris Cornell's voice is an instrument of its own!

  • Artist

  • when heard this first time I thought: music has no boundaries

  • no one has the pure technical ability of early cornell.

  • @GeminiBachelor8469 dude...you're an idiot.

  • @GeminiBachelor8469 That makes sense...

  • havnt heard that song in ages cheers

  • Cornell is realy outstanding !

  • fuckin awesome song

  • J'ai toujours l'impression qu'il souffre le martyr lorsqu'il chante ... chelou ....

  • how about the greatest voice, in terms of raw capability alone... not even to mention the talent to put amazing lyrics, guitar rhythms together with it... Make no mistake. Cornell is the best rock voice. in the history or rock. Period

  • we miss u here in Seattle SG!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • @dustn71 We miss 'em in Minnesota, too.

  • @wiz9496 same here...

  • on your knees people....behold greatness -15yrs and still on the money.

  • Awesome!!!!!!!

  • Grrrrrrr I need to Know more about this tour anyone know of any tour dates? I cant find anything :(

  • Fucking BADASS

  • I love this damn song.

  • @twinkie Well said.

  • next time i take shrooms im watching this...

  • not bad singing for a man with vocal nodes at the time

  • самая заебательская песня самой заебательской группы мира

  • what twinkieramirez said.

    thanks.

  • I'd like to thank you Ruslanow for posting this and giving us an alternative to Vevo. For the majority of bands these preformances are few and far between. But, anyway I am forever grateful thank you.

  • *bliss*

  • one of the best rock songs of all time. period. that was also the best ive heard chris sing live!

  • agree

  • @GaryIrl83 I'm a huge Cornell fan but, I think you're overrating this performance just a bit. I've seen Chis perform live several times (combining shows by Soundgarden and Audioslave) and this performance of Blow up the Outside World is just average taking in account that this is one of the easier Cornell songs, vocal and instrumental wise. Non the less I did enjoy this upload.

  • @GaryIrl83 Agreed, this is the best performance i've ever heard of this song, not just from Chris but from everyone. AMAZING!!!!!!!!!!

  • Anyone who dislikes this video is obviously a fucking moron.

  • @GaryIrl83 sorry but this is not live...

  • @ludwig66661 Mmmm it was performed live for MTV Unplugged, there was an audience, therefore 'live

  • Comment removed

  • Grunge's punk rock 4ever.

  • That is a truly f**king trippy song. Love it!

  • black haired version of brad pitt :P

  • Ya and not caught up on the fame

  • Chris sings much more better. :-)

  • @SavingPrivateBob LOL Brad Pitt WISHES he was as sexy as Cornell !

  • @CSWRB I would want to argue with that but I have to agree..Chris cornell is smokin hot, nothin beats a rock star as hot as Chris cornell! Brad is hot yea but Chris Cornell has that extra super talented rock star factor

  • @MissusFingerBottom :) I saw a report where they were both at the same birthday party with their kids. Awww! Such great dads. Their wives are sooooo lucky!!

  • @CSWRB I read it too, how mindblowing can that party be! Two hot dads..DILFS! I had no idea they are friends though.

  • @MissusFingerBottom Hahahaha! DILFS!!! Due to the lameness/family privacy factor, I don't think Chris/Vicky would ever do a reality show like "Rockstar Wives", but I'm embarrassed to admit I would start watching that show if they did. I think there is a restraining order in my future. LOL!

  • @CSWRB lol me too.. I feel weirded out even when I read his wife's twitter even though it's meant to be public for the fans too.

  • @MissusFingerBottom Hahahah! Just enjoy your harmless CC crush like I do! She is a rockstar wife and he is totally devoted to her( Sigh!). She should take it as a complement that so many females crush on her man. I mean, gosh, look and listen to him for 5 seconds and you are hooked! Damn you gene pool for all that good DNA in one man!!!!! LOL

  • @MissusFingerBottom Shit. I'm a dude and i think Chris is fucking hot. I'm totally straight though, really. ....really!

  • @tekoa I believe you!! Some people are so hot that their hotness transgresses all genders.

  • Chris Cornell = me drooling on myself...sexxy.

  • NYR = see Soundgarden live

  • Save it for your own and the ones you can help...... C.C.

  • One of the greatest voices in Rock and Roll!

  • @garminpink My teacher at my school said that same thing. Grunge forever :)!

  • @garminpink False... the BEST.

  • Soundgarden Reunion was the best new year gift i could wish for!!!!!! It's finally come true!

  • Amen. I'm huge fan. I don't care where their first show is at, I'm there!

  • Hey guys! Soundgarden (members) isn't officially back yet.....I just realized The Knights of the Soundtable was the name of the Soundgarden fan-club back in the 90's and it's only the fan-club that is back and now they can officially release a box set of B-sides and rarities and merchandise like T-shirts on the website. the Twitter post isn't clear....and we were just too excited to assume...

  • wait, is this a dream come true? they really re-unite?

  • wtf? reunion?

  • @funlivelife

We better get a new album out of the deal!

  • @funlivelife they better tour Europe goddammet !

  • These guys are awesome, i still listen to them on a regular basis. If you like them you might like my band, check it out!

  • theyre back :)

  • SOUNDGARDEN FOR LIFE !!!!!!!!

  • The whole song is good, but the bridge, the bridge gets my full attention every time. I get all pumped up right at 3:55

  • Chris cornell: " This song is called blow up the outside world, And uhhhh....

Were gonna play that for you right now" chuckles

    "And after that......... Mail man"

back ground kim: "Did i mention were better that the beatles"

Chris: ?I thought we were the beatles"?

Kim: " oh thats right, i thought it was god"

  • Chris is so schmexxy.

  • perfecto

  • Opino lo mismo...

  • what a trippy video and broadcast....even MTV didn't suck so much back then

  • Yah, that was back in the day they actually played music. You know, before they whore'd themselves to reality TV.

  • I'm in love with 1996 Chris Cornell.

  • Mmmm, I know what you mean... My favorite time is the Pretty Noose video - delicious ;) Right now is pretty good, too!

  • grandioso soundgarden la neta

  • best years of rock

    1966-1979& 1990-1996

  • Right on! Completely agree! But you have to include early 80's for two reasons. Van Halen and Stevie Ray Vaughan

  • They were really ON for this performance. Saw them play "waiting for the sun" during a sunset over Iowa cornfield. F'ing unbelievable.

  • Greatest hard rock love song of all time.

  • Damned skippy!

  • totally agree with beatleme2

  • Chrisssss U r the Best!!!!! =D

  • save it for your own and the ones you can help.... CC

  • No One Can Do Me In.

  • ultrahipermegacolosal filete!!!

  • weird in the 90's had bands like this and nirvana gnr metalica and now...its nsync hip hop and rap crap........how did that happen?

  • Too many wiggers.

  • @Rolandzebub and guidos lol. I wish rock was popular once again

  • its got to do with sex

  • I agree completely!! I'm trying to keep the real music alive. Please listen to Voodoo Doll on my myspace page!! (url: joshlee4music) I wrote it about the late, great Layne Staley of Alice in Chains.

  • if that's really you i just hears.... OMG why isn't your band the biggest thing now.... thats what im fkn tlkn bout man ... exactly what i want to hear from ppl now... my biggest support make it HUGE!!!

  • Comment removed

  • that was pretty good man im a huge AIC fan its nice to see someone pay tribute to layne. you kinda sounded like jerry cantrell a bit

  • Thanks a lot!! I know I'll never be as good as them but I do get compared a lot. I really appreciate the kind words.

  • I checked out your shit man....it's great.....now make some money and contacts and get a label deal dude.....need a word of advice.....having a band instead of being solo always helps getting easier recognition...(personal experience)...i wanna tour with you some day man.....share music and shit

  • nothing seems to kill me...no matter how hard i try....fuckin heavy

  • Chris will always be a hero of mine, after their Santa Monica show on Loud Love w/Danzig... Security fucked a guy up pullin him off the crowd n throwing him on the ground. Chris stopped the show n threatened the security guard with a) the mic stand - his "equalizer", and b) all of us in a full blown fucking riot... which we were prepared to give him. BadASS man...

  • This is the kind of Chris Cornell performance I live for - live, raw, and an awesome one-take session. His professionally-controlled cry is unparalled, which he has mastered only by years of leading unrivaled bands like Soundgarden. He is truly one of the greatest male vocalists of all time singing one of the greatest songs of all time.

  • this song is great.

  • chris and his impossible to perform songs... he's just a fucking brave singer. This audio does sound bad though. Can't imagine how he toured singing those songs. He's Lucky he can still sing and sing he does.

  • brothers and sisters stop fighting your all right you dont need to argue just except that everyone is wize and has something to offer to anythought its the only way to grow as a generation a species or an individual soundgarden are amazing and thats something we can all agree on just love the music and be on your way i love you all xxxxxx

  • This is just a bad ass song, fuck all the arguing about generations and genres.

  • nobody is arguing, you are d only one pointing that out

  • You obviously aren't capable of reading the many comments that were posted before mine that were clearly arguments. Learn how to read, then go eat a dick.

  • not that obiously, keep coming back and enlight us with your cheap fraternal shit, im not spending more words than these on you.

First, there is that generational issue.

Second, nobody is arguing that because there is no point in arguing about what is true traight and right away.

No need for you to come and save our souls nor showing guidance for paradise messiah.

and now whatever shit you may go on, reach heights of the world and listen to the void

  • You're basically right about that.

  • the only good band to come out since 2000 would be The Mars Volta and they are the best.

  • From late 60's -70's-80's-90's..music was all good and genuine...but from 2000's to present ..it all came crashing down ...fuckin young generation

  • I think You're exagerating - regardless of the time there was a whole lot of shitty music - I agree, that now music has become more business, and that most of the popular "musicians" are soulless products, but I think there's a more or less fixed amount of good music - the problem nowadays, is that no one really promotes the real musicians. So it's not really "fuckin young generation", I'd say it's rather "fucking marketing specialists"

  • some of the "fuckin young generation" listen to soundgarden....it's why i'm watching this vid. it's awesome.

  • 100% correct

  • Why do people act like the 60's/70's was so perfect? Ya'll forget how much bullshit there was then too. Take a look at tops songs from every year in those time periods... Fucking donnie and marie and strawberry alarm clock type shit...complete RUBBISH. Every era has a few winners and a whole lot of band wagoners/losers trying to cash in on the new craze. Its been that way since the 50's. The 2000's has great shit and terrible shit, like any other time period.

  • This is correct. Word were found written 3000 years ago complaining how everything new was shit LOL

  • wow
