I got to meet him at Sakura con before he died, real down to earth guy and he was charging to get something for him to sign if you didn't have anything and I didn't and we were talking and I said I played the piano and he reached in his bag and pulled out sheet music for the song and I found out he wrote that and he signed and and didn't charge me anything

He's right when he mentioned the "people who rushed home to see it" I couldn't wait to get home from school so I could catch the show on UHF channel 52 in Santa Ana California back in the mid 70s. Then it got moved to channel 13 and then pulled off the air until MTV resurrected it back in the mid 90s. Anyhow, I truly did love the show as a child. R.I.P Mr. Ferneandez

RIP Peter Fernandez is my Hero He user to Voice Speed Racer, Astroboy, Gigantor, Ultraman and Star Blazers: The Bolar Wars, Gamera The invincible, Lupin III: The Secret of Mamo, Godizlla Film and Courage the Cowardly Dog. He did a Good Job Voice Direction of Ultraman, The Space giants, Woolf!, Japanese Film, French Film, Italian Film, And Many of Anime English Dub.

@jessecrx - Thank you so much for this vid. Speed Racer was and is still my favorite Cartoon. I also got teary eyed because of the loss of Peter Fernandez. I wish I could go back in time and re-live my childhood experiences when I first started watching Speed Racer. Good Times...........

Wow, that was great. Thanks for sharing it. I was sad to discover that we Peter this past year. I'm glad that he was able to see his work enjoyed by so many, and to even be a part of the film. My kids enjoy the cartoons just as I did when I first saw them in the early 70's. We love the movie too.
