WOW you must have no actual gun sense at all. First there are only 6 battle worthy weapons those are the G3/FAL variants (hard to tell), Desert Eagle, M4, M16, and AK47
The ACR isn't being shipped overseas. It was made to replace the M4 Carbine, which it has failed to do. The Mk. 16 Mod 0 was chosen over it, and it's being deployed with the Rangers for real combat assessment. If the SCAR ends up not preforming as good as the M4, which it will obviously prove to be useful, seeing as how it's an FN Herstal design, it'll be adopted as the standard-issue rifle and should be mass-produced.
@RedEliteFilms In my opinion, no. A 7.62mm round as a primary rifle cartridge is just overkill. It's more weight for your soldiers to carry, the recoil can increase fatigue, the rifle needs to be heavier to handle the recoil. A rifle like the REC7 using a 6.8 would be much better. The REC7 has the same feel of an M4, but the 6.8 has about the same recoil while boasting nearly double the stopping power.

Meh, the AK47 was better than the M16 at the time (Vietnam), and the AK is still used by militaries. However they use versions like the AK-100 series.

OH, yeah, thats the release date for it, but the army is not choosing a new rifle until later this summer. It is available for civillian and law enforcement purchase right now, its not being shipped over seas for a while, IF it gets chosen (which it should)

A little advice....get off the xbox 360 and do some actual research into firearms before claiming to know what the best guns ever made are.
And FYI the Uzi is actually one of the WORST full autos ever designed. Massive feed problems, overheating issues, and incredible misfire.
Which M1? The Garand has a small magazine capacity, making it almost useless it today's warfare. The M1 Carbine is still using a small magazine, but still has a very short range. The Thompson is less powerful than most pistols, and it's fire rate, which isn't that good, makes it seem deadly.
Yeah, its really one of the most significant weapons of all time, you can put all the assualt rifles and pistols on there all you want, but most of those I saw were just random off-the-wall guns, no real significant ground breakers. The Garand deserves the no.1 spot, what the hell is that thing at no.1?, ooks like something outta Robocop, never even seen that before. Just because it looks cool, doesnt mean its a ground breaking weapon.
If the M1 Garand was the best gun ever made, we would still be using it, correct? It was one of the best guns for it's time. Small magazine, .223 is more powerful, can't reload until chamber opens, that loud `ping` tells the enemy you need to reload so they know when to rush. The M14 is better than that, in my humble opinion.
The M1's .30-06 is a beast of a round, but hte M4's .223 rips apart inside of the human body, causing more trauma, may not kill them at first, but'll definately weaken them and make them bleed out. The .30-06 glides through the body, not causing much damage unless hitting a vital point.
The concusion of the .30 cal round will liquify and rupture the organs, a single torso will bring down any human, Hell I've brought down Moose in Alaska with the .30-06, imagine hitting something as small as a human.
The .223 does fragment, but is so light that theres very little concusion when you're hit, and the human body is often known, when it has enough adrenaline to actually still live and function temporarily with an organ or two puntured, death will be very soon, but not instant.
The .223 has inferior range, inferior penetration, inferior accuracy, and is so light and fast moving, the slightest wind gus with through it off target, and Why one earth would you want to use a round that is known for not killing instantly?!
If the prick you're shooting at doesnt die instantly, he's gonna be pissed as hell, and kill you, then he'll die, with the .30-06, its an actual COMBAT round, its made to kill instantly at up too 1500 yards, and is heavy and has flat tragectory.
And how do you think the .223 is more "powerful" than the .30-06?, the .30 is loads more powerful, and easier to use in combat. And Wde dont use the M1 because it costs too much to produce, and the governement seems to think small game hunting rounds are better that round that were designed for combat...stupid American logic.

The only "Real Life" drawbacks of the Garand is that it only has 8 rounds, and the pinging sound a clip makes might be heard by close range enemies, which can be overcome by using this simple trick.
When down to the last 2 rounds, simply manually eject the clip, and reload a fresh one.
Why not go with something magazine fed and be done with the whole problem. Problem with the 30-06 round is its length requires a long action. Now that said .308 or 7.62x51 is a short action round. There are many weapons that use this round and it has as much power as the 30-06. So why would we want to go with a WWII deign weapon when we can have the same power in a modern firearm that is magazine fed. Like the AR10 or the M14
Those countries copied the AK idea cause they can't afford to start their own weapons program so they copied the ak and change a few things and then said that it is the wz 88 for instance. Correct that the wz. 88 is polish but it is an exact copy of the ak-74. Trust me you little communist cockroach I know this shit. I have been to Iraq and seen many of these weapons perform.
The cost-effective argument is not valid any more because modern militaries can easily afford more advanced weapons than the AK-47 and its variant. AK is shit, 74 is shit, 74U is shit, Saiga 12 is shit, RPG is shit, RPK is shit, PKM is shit... the Mosin Nagant is the only good gun to come out of that era.
You shouldn't have to compensate for that drop, or have to be a practiced shooter. Even Armalite rifles (M16, M4, 416) invented in 1950 do that for you. The AK47 is an obsolete, non cost-effective platform.
It dosn't matter if you're the best marksman in the world, the AK-47 is just simply INNACURATE. Its 7.62 round has insane drop, the shape of its wood furnature stock makes the recoil push the gun upwards giving the shooter a terrible sight picture for repeat... There are variants of the AK-47 that have corrected these problems, but the AK-47 itself is an antiquated, outclassed, overrated firearm. There is absolutely no way it can stand up against modern weapons.
Call us all the names you want but commies still suck and nothing will change that! Also you can train on a weapons all you want but if it has a bad shot group (which the AK is known for) then you won't hit anything. You will just have to unload round after round hoping that chances and odds kick in and you get lucky with one!
If communism is better then why has it failed. Also ootdega everyone else is not using the AK. Learn your different countries and the weapons they use and you will see that it is pretty much just the poor countries and russia and china using the AK. Countries that are not developed enough yeah to produce their own weapons besides for russia and china. France uses the famas, germany the g-36, Brits use their bullpup and so on, and so on. @fattydingdongs1 u need to get ur facts straight the trigger guard and the lower receiver melted on the xm8 after like 200 rounds, it is discontinued and will never be used by the military or sold commercially they dont even make them, the x8 was competing for replacement of the m16 and m4 but the FN Scar was a better gun,

@janson540 the military dosent use the SCAR, they currently use the m4. However, the head generals are picking a new standard infantry rifle this summer. it will most likely be the bushmaster adaptive combat rifle. because the gas system that the m4 uses (and the scar) is a POS. the acr uses a piston driven system like the AK-47, (but with m16 accuracy)

OH, yeah, thats the release date for it, but the army is not choosing a new rifle until later this summer. It is available for civillian and law enforcement purchase right now, its not being shipped over seas for a while, IF it gets chosen (which it should)

Actually the Ak-47 is one of the worst and cheapest guns in the world. It has horrible accuracy and it locks while it's in the water. People just think it's good because they play too many video games.

Which M1? The Garand has a small magazine capacity, making it almost useless it today's warfare. The M1 Carbine is still using a small magazine, but still has a very short range. The Thompson is less powerful than most pistols, and it's fire rate, which isn't that good, makes it seem deadly.

Yeah, its really one of the most significant weapons of all time, you can put all the assualt rifles and pistols on there all you want, but most of those I saw were just random off-the-wall guns, no real significant ground breakers. The Garand deserves the no.1 spot, what the hell is that thing at no.1?, ooks like something outta Robocop, never even seen that before. Just because it looks cool, doesnt mean its a ground breaking weapon.

If the M1 Garand was the best gun ever made, we would still be using it, correct? It was one of the best guns for it's time. Small magazine, .223 is more powerful, can't reload until chamber opens, that loud `ping` tells the enemy you need to reload so they know when to rush. The M14 is better than that, in my humble opinion.

The M1's .30-06 is a beast of a round, but hte M4's .223 rips apart inside of the human body, causing more trauma, may not kill them at first, but'll definately weaken them and make them bleed out. The .30-06 glides through the body, not causing much damage unless hitting a vital point.

The concusion of the .30 cal round will liquify and rupture the organs, a single torso will bring down any human, Hell I've brought down Moose in Alaska with the .30-06, imagine hitting something as small as a human.
The .223 does fragment, but is so light that theres very little concusion when you're hit, and the human body is often known, when it has enough adrenaline to actually still live and function temporarily with an organ or two puntured, death will be very soon, but not instant.

The .223 has inferior range, inferior penetration, inferior accuracy, and is so light and fast moving, the slightest wind gus with through it off target, and Why one earth would you want to use a round that is known for not killing instantly?!
If the prick you're shooting at doesnt die instantly, he's gonna be pissed as hell, and kill you, then he'll die, with the .30-06, its an actual COMBAT round, its made to kill instantly at up too 1500 yards, and is heavy and has flat tragectory.

The only "Real Life" drawbacks of the Garand is that it only has 8 rounds, and the pinging sound a clip makes might be heard by close range enemies, which can be overcome by using this simple trick.
When down to the last 2 rounds, simply manually eject the clip, and reload a fresh one.

Why not go with something magazine fed and be done with the whole problem. Problem with the 30-06 round is its length requires a long action. Now that said .308 or 7.62x51 is a short action round. There are many weapons that use this round and it has as much power as the 30-06. So why would we want to go with a WWII deign weapon when we can have the same power in a modern firearm that is magazine fed. Like the AR10 or the M14

Those countries copied the AK idea cause they can't afford to start their own weapons program so they copied the ak and change a few things and then said that it is the wz 88 for instance. Correct that the wz. 88 is polish but it is an exact copy of the ak-74. Trust me you little communist cockroach I know this shit. I have been to Iraq and seen many of these weapons perform.

The cost-effective argument is not valid any more because modern militaries can easily afford more advanced weapons than the AK-47 and its variant. AK is shit, 74 is shit, 74U is shit, Saiga 12 is shit, RPG is shit, RPK is shit, PKM is shit... the Mosin Nagant is the only good gun to come out of that era.

You shouldn't have to compensate for that drop, or have to be a practiced shooter. Even Armalite rifles (M16, M4, 416) invented in 1950 do that for you. The AK47 is an obsolete, non cost-effective platform.

It dosn't matter if you're the best marksman in the world, the AK-47 is just simply INNACURATE. Its 7.62 round has insane drop, the shape of its wood furnature stock makes the recoil push the gun upwards giving the shooter a terrible sight picture for repeat... There are variants of the AK-47 that have corrected these problems, but the AK-47 itself is an antiquated, outclassed, overrated firearm. There is absolutely no way it can stand up against modern weapons.

Also you can train on a weapons all you want but if it has a bad shot group (which the AK is known for) then you won't hit anything. You will just have to unload round after round hoping that chances and odds kick in and you get lucky with one!

Learn your different countries and the weapons they use and you will see that it is pretty much just the poor countries and russia and china using the AK. Countries that are not developed enough yeah to produce their own weapons besides for russia and china. France uses the famas, germany the g-36, Brits use their bullpup and so on, and so on. I could go on for day about other countries not using AKs.
