  • I always wondered why it was demolished instead of reconstructed the way MSG has been renovated...

  • little bit celtics much?

  • To all the Bostonian Utubers out there, this Central Jersey boy ADORES your city, and I'm looking forward to shipping up again soon...TO FIND MY WOODEN LEG!!!!!!

  • I remember touring Boston Garden when I came to visit my aunt and uncle in the early 90s, It was an experience I'll never forget, and a few yers later we went to a game at Fenway. I tell you Boston, is one of my favorite places to go, in fact, when I went on an overnight trip with summer camp, and when we went shopping in Quincy Market, they met me, and took me around. And to top it all off, I came and visited them last summer, and we had so much fun again.

  • wouldve loved to experienced 80s Celtics games with the 100 degree heat. the atmosphere looked amazing!

  • Looks SERIOUSLY AWESOME. As a Bruins fan, I wish I was able to see this in person. BTW the B's 2011 Cup parade started on the old Garden site, in the new TD Garden pahking lot.

  • 2K Sports should of seen this before they made NBA 2K11 & 2K12. Maybe they would of gotten the artwork for the Boston Garden right.

  • @AminTheMighty I thought I was the only one who thought that!!!. I was annoyed about that. I purposeply bought 2K12 in hopes that the old Boston would be more exact like it said in the articles. Noticed how Chicago Stadium and the Forum looked like their exacts? Unlike the old Boston Garden. I won't buy NBA2K13 unless I'm 100% sure that the old Boston Garden look like in the game.

  • not the same in beantown without the Garden

  • Awesome stuff. Brings a tear to my eye. I still miss The Garden terribly.

  • typical american crap. they have this building which has become a monument to world basketball, they fill it with shitty commercial boards and then they demolish it to build something else.

these places should be considered monuments and be preserved as museums or something similar.

  • Great video, I was only 11 when they played their last season there but was lucky enough to go many times as a child. I went to the first Celtics exhibition game in the new building and didn't go to another for 13 years. As others have said, more pictures of the walk ways would be great, as well as some of the lower level concourse and the pro-shop area right outside the gate. I still have a "Thanks For The Memories" puck and souvenir cup bought at the concessions stand from my last Bruins game

  • awesome photos great angles...although more concourse would have made this perfect

  • Look at all those pennants...it's pretty impressive. Any team that had to play against the Bruins or Celtics had to look up at those and gulp!

  • Saw a lot of Bruins games there . also saw The Grateful Dead there numerous times . Ill nevev forget sitting first row balcony and watching the whole balcony move up and down a couple of feet when the place was rock and rollin . Going there was like going home . Saw my father graduate college there too . there was nothing like coming out of there after an afternoon Bruins game and having the sun still shining with the smell of sausages and cigarettes in the air .

    Smitty in Medford

  • Does anyone know why the scoreboard was off center?

  • @SuperSportSS I always wondered this myself!!!!!

  • @DaBears5501 I would take the assumption that when the building was originally set up, a center clock was not of the highest priority--but speakers which would announce the fighters of the evening would be (the building was originally designed for boxing). If I've seen the photos correctly, the speakers are at the center of the arena. Now why, especially when they changed the scoreboard in 1970, they didn't alter the alignment, I don't know.

  • HOY THE WALL LIVE BY ROGER WATERS EN BOSTON

  • awesome music!

  • youtube fucking sucks....copywrite you fucking scubags

  • Great video, photos are awesome. Thanks 4 uploading it. Long live the Garden.

  • Great photos. I especially liked the ones you don't see too often, like the obstructed views, aisles & ramps. Brought back a lot of memories.

  • @sonoferin Thanks alot i will forward this comment to the actual person who took the photo's Bob Busser. He will appreciate the comment, Long live the Gahden!

  • @sonoferin Why are you playign that stupid ass music to this cathedral ot stadium!? I dont get it. You ruin great photos! I am scouring YouTube going back down memory lane on the day the Spectrum is demolished and I come to Boston Garden and all I see in the two videos on it...is stupid music. It distracts from what I am seeing and how I want to remember it. STOP IT!

  • @LetDaShowBegin3 then click mute. not that hard.

  • @LetDaShowBegin3 You do realize I am not the poster of this video right? Idiot. Typical Philly fan.

  • @sonoferin We can't help them all!

  • @LetDaShowBegin3 How the fuck can you call Dirty Water and Baba O'reilly crap. You must be mentaly retarded so I will refrain from making fun of you.
