Every once in a while, someone says what they mean. The last word in drop-dead gorgeousness can't be that easy to do. I think I love Townes more that Dylan.
@CharmedQuarkZ99 Howdy Rich! Rex`s blues got your name all over it! I KNOW you could knock that one out of the ol ballpark. be careful though, youtube gave me copyright warnings on my last two TVZ covers.
Hard to pick a favorite song by Townes but If I had to this would probably be it. Oh wait I just remembered Rexs blues. My mother the mountain! Impossible to pick a fav. great song. thanks for posting. Excellent video work!
This song is sad but very sweet. It was written for Townes' friend Leslie Jo Richards who was murdered in 1971 while visiting Townes while he was out in LA. This must have been very hard for him to write and to perform. It is sad, but the saddest TVZ song (for me anyway) is "A Song For", but to each their own, right?
@Bomberman8431 It's more dramatic then he is..a lot of his work could be uses in movies..western, crime and is this kind of music then not at the right place? It's not strange if most of his music comes in a heavy movie scene and maybe in a gangsta film one day... and you will see what I mean...
I remember the first time i heard this somg

It's quite dramatic, that I'll admit. Saddest song of all time. That'
ll have to be disputed amongst people who love Townes deeply.

@AngeloNiklis Yes, I have it. It starts with a piano, and later the other instruments. This one is from another album (didn't figure out which yet).

Oh, no this is the version off of High, Low, and In Between. Sorry about the complication.
Bomberman8431 11 months ago
Sorry, but just a comment... I think this is not the version from "The late great TVZ".
