I walk to the basket st up the camera walk to the tee throw the shot, afer the shot id I miss I play the hole and move on. If I capture the shot I post it for the word to see.
wow cubby NICE i cant wait for my first ace. theres LOTS of courses down here in dallas and i try and play at least 2 or 3 courses a week. i came SOOOOO close yesterday at bill owens memorial park in the colony tx but no cigar went right behind and it was at night. but anyways great vid.
nice shot man. just made my 1st ace today at Memorial Park in Yankton, SD. Par 4, 450-ish feet. i could not believe it, thank god there were people behind me in a picnic shelter who saw it.
Congrats on the ace from 450 feet!!!! That is off the hook! I might be able to throw 450 off of a cliff. Thanks for sharing your first Ace. Looking forward to hearing about your next one.
I just hit my 2nd ace, 3rd ace in the same round. This was a championship course they have 3 aces. First One I hit on hole 3 at 334 ft forehand skip ace, with a firebird. A couple hours later at the hardest of the courses a par 69 10k feet. I hit the shortest hole by far at 283 with a teebird. great videos.
Lost track of how many I had when I hit that one. Now I just make the corrections using titles if I get it wrong instead of adding new audio over the mistake.
I play with 2 discs evertime, for my driver i use a Innova champion monarch (165 g) and for my mid range i use a Discraft flash (167 g), only because it drops quite a bit
yeh i just got the new star boss. and i also hav the champion monarch. and i also have a shark. wat would be a good mid range. and wat would be good for a new driver?
as do I. the plastic is indestructable. I cant tell you how many diablos, and assasins Ive broke. then agin I know people who use only gateway, and dump on innova saying they are the most basically made discs. my star tee rex is probably my most reliable disc.
It took me a couple years to get my first and only ace and you are working on your 3rd of the day. That blows my mind. I mean, I am not a pro but I am not a slouch either. Are you playing professionally? If I am not mistaken you are at around 350 or more aces on video. Wow, my head hurts
I could play PRO on my home course :) Keeping my AM status in hopes of competing in the worlds again someday. I am blessed with the knack for finding the chains under 270 feet. I currenty have 318 Aces and I believe 60 or so may be on video.
There are lots of factors that figure into the success of throwing an anhyzer shot: Body position to the target, angle of the disc with relation to the horizon when it leaves your hand, stability factor of the disc thrown. Basically the more you have your back to the target and the more you have the disc at an angle where the right side of the disc is tilted lower than the left side of the disc when it leaves your hand and depending how much torque you put on the throw the better the turn.
There are quite a few good resources on the internet for back hand and side arm techniques. I recommend that you do a google search on those topics and you will find lots of sites that give advice or show video of those throws.
Hey Cubby! You got me into disc golf, so I'd figure you'd like to hear this. I broke my left collar bone yesterday, and im just bored out of my mind, already. I took a ride down to the local course, disc golf being one of the few activites I can still take part in. I got my first hole-in-one! With a broken collar bone!!! =)
WOW! Nice to hear that I got you into Disc Golf and that you got your first ace. Sorry to hear that you broke your left collar bone yesterday but it is really cool that you still managed to get out to the course and play and made your first ace. Thanks for sharing your expereince with me and please stay in touch. BTW I broke my left collar bone many many years ago.
Doctor told me six weeks for it to heal, so Im gonna play disc golf every day. Its great to stay in shape, loads of fun, and takes my mind off things. thanks again!
Thanks for the suggestion. It is on the top of my list to do this and I have had a number of people ask me to put something together. Hopefully soon. Take care my friend.
Thanks! This Ace was on Hole 15. I am glad you got to play the course when you were out here. It's great to have a course out here that can be played 24 hours a day.
ohh i only just found out this sport excisted like half hour ago.....i live mid east coast australia if anyone knows of a place where i could play it would appreciate it if you could tell me the details im keen to play looks so fun
I played disk golf for the first time today, a friend of mine started doing it and said how much fun it was, i didnt want to go because it sounded dumb, but I HAD A BLAST! Im going again tomorrow!
Nice I just bought a Innova Champion Leopard really happy with it, haha on one hole, it goes down a hill, and I had a really solid throw and about halfway down it caught A TON of air and just shot straight up and got lost in the trees haha. Found it like an hour later :P Nice Ace BTW!
I walk to the basket st up the camera walk to the tee throw the shot, afer the shot id I miss I play the hole and move on. If I capture the shot I post it for the word to see.

how long are most of your aces? that one looked to be a pretty short hole.
Ergock 3 years ago
In the 150 to 250 foot range. On mostly wooded holes.
DiscGolfer 3 years ago
Yea, sounds kind of like a course by me that is mostly 200-250 feet and fairly woooded.
Good Job on the ace, keep it up :D

patrickkingphoto 3 years ago
I removed the disc after I turned the camera off.
DiscGolfer 3 years ago
Hey cubby! How about showing us how you throw?Maybe how you grip the disc.
I have been trying and trying to get a good drive but it rarely goes past 195 or maybe 200 feet.
So an ace is pretty much out of the question for now. Just a suggestion.
