  • I walk to the basket st up the camera walk to the tee throw the shot, afer the shot id I miss I play the hole and move on. If I capture the shot I post it for the word to see.

  • The Monarch is my most played and fav disk. Always get a good drive out of it.

  • A great disc for sure!

  • wow cubby NICE i cant wait for my first ace. theres LOTS of courses down here in dallas and i try and play at least 2 or 3 courses a week. i came SOOOOO close yesterday at bill owens memorial park in the colony tx but no cigar went right behind and it was at night. but anyways great vid.

  • Thanks for your kind words. Glad you enjoyed the video. I hope you Ace real soon.

  • sooo, how many aces have made?

  • Currently at 400 Aces with 400 different discs.

  • nice shot man. just made my 1st ace today at Memorial Park in Yankton, SD. Par 4, 450-ish feet. i could not believe it, thank god there were people behind me in a picnic shelter who saw it.

  • Congrats on the ace from 450 feet!!!! That is off the hook! I might be able to throw 450 off of a cliff. Thanks for sharing your first Ace. Looking forward to hearing about your next one.

  • whats your rating?

  • My memebership is not current. Last time I was current it was 926.

  • I just hit my 2nd ace, 3rd ace in the same round. This was a championship course they have 3 aces. First One I hit on hole 3 at 334 ft forehand skip ace, with a firebird. A couple hours later at the hardest of the courses a par 69 10k feet. I hit the shortest hole by far at 283 with a teebird. great videos.

  • Congrats on two aces during the same round! Nice! Keep in touch and thanks for sharing your Aces!

  • i like the way u used a voice over to change it from somthing 5thi to 49th at :0:46 lol

  • Lost track of how many I had when I hit that one. Now I just make the corrections using titles if I get it wrong instead of adding new audio over the mistake.

  • ah ic, great job at the shot tho, u should post vids on how u do your throws!! lolo

  • Thanks!!!!!!!!!

  • i have a star xcaliber

  • I always have a couple of those in my bag.

  • I play with 2 discs evertime, for my driver i use a Innova champion monarch (165 g) and for my mid range i use a Discraft flash (167 g), only because it drops quite a bit

  • Both great discs to use. My Monarch is reliable.

  • awesome shot dude

  • Thanks so much!

  • True dat, i used to live in Nebraska and there's lots there to.

  • In Iowa we are blessed to have so many Disc Golf Courses so close by...since there isn't anything else to do here LOL !

  • Lots of Disc Golf courses is a good thing ;)

  • question how far are most of the pins??? on camera they dont look to far?? ?? if u could plz respond

  • If I set up a camera on a shot the distance could be as close as 104 feet or as far as 250 feet.

  • where in iowa?

im fromt he quad cities we have a ton

  • i live in iowa and the is a lot of disc golf courses

  • I have not had the pleasure of playing in Iowa yet.

  • you got that hyzer shot down....how many ace's you think you with the hyzer?

  • Most of them are hyzer shots, But that is one stat I don't track.

  • what do you think about the champion valkyrie?

  • Love it!

  • yeh i just got the new star boss. and i also hav the champion monarch. and i also have a shark. wat would be a good mid range. and wat would be good for a new driver?

  • A discraft FLEX surge is a nice driver and a discraft FLEX Buzzz is a nice mid range.

  • nice

  • Thanks!

  • Very Nice Cubby....I Have A Leopard Too!!!

  • Thanks, Leopards are fun to throw.

  • How the hell have you gotten so many ace's ? I can barely get birdies sometimes. (i am a beginner)

  • We are all blessed with certain talents, glad mine has something to do with Disc Golf.

  • as do I. the plastic is indestructable. I cant tell you how many diablos, and assasins Ive broke. then agin I know people who use only gateway, and dump on innova saying they are the most basically made discs. my star tee rex is probably my most reliable disc.

  • do you only use innova? cuz thats mostly whats in my bag.

  • I use Innova more the any other disc manufacturer.

  • that tree was just no match for that leopard. what a beautiful shot.

  • Thanks!

  • master of the firebird!

  • Thanks! I love the Firebird. On this shot I used an Innova Champion Leopard.

  • Played Disk Golf for the first time the other night on FSU campus then again today on a real course. Man I have to buy a disk and start playin!

  • hey cubby, what disc did you use there?

  • That was an Innova X-OUT Champion Firebird.

  • It took me a couple years to get my first and only ace and you are working on your 3rd of the day. That blows my mind. I mean, I am not a pro but I am not a slouch either. Are you playing professionally? If I am not mistaken you are at around 350 or more aces on video. Wow, my head hurts

  • I could play PRO on my home course :) Keeping my AM status in hopes of competing in the worlds again someday. I am blessed with the knack for finding the chains under 270 feet. I currenty have 318 Aces and I believe 60 or so may be on video.

  • hey cubby I have a question how do u anhyze a disc for a backhand thrower

  • There are lots of factors that figure into the success of throwing an anhyzer shot: Body position to the target, angle of the disc with relation to the horizon when it leaves your hand, stability factor of the disc thrown. Basically the more you have your back to the target and the more you have the disc at an angle where the right side of the disc is tilted lower than the left side of the disc when it leaves your hand and depending how much torque you put on the throw the better the turn.

  • ok thank you cubby

  • it shouldnt be called a hole in one really lol its more like a basket in one :)

  • Would love to see and read more about some tips and tricks as well

  • What areas of Disc Golf are you looking for tips and tricks?

  • Mostly back end and side arm techniques

  • There are quite a few good resources on the internet for back hand and side arm techniques. I recommend that you do a google search on those topics and you will find lots of sites that give advice or show video of those throws.

  • Hey Cubby! You got me into disc golf, so I'd figure you'd like to hear this. I broke my left collar bone yesterday, and im just bored out of my mind, already. I took a ride down to the local course, disc golf being one of the few activites I can still take part in. I got my first hole-in-one! With a broken collar bone!!! =)

  • WOW! Nice to hear that I got you into Disc Golf and that you got your first ace. Sorry to hear that you broke your left collar bone yesterday but it is really cool that you still managed to get out to the course and play and made your first ace. Thanks for sharing your expereince with me and please stay in touch. BTW I broke my left collar bone many many years ago.

  • Doctor told me six weeks for it to heal, so Im gonna play disc golf every day. Its great to stay in shape, loads of fun, and takes my mind off things. thanks again!

  • how long are most of your aces? that one looked to be a pretty short hole.

  • In the 150 to 250 foot range. On mostly wooded holes.

  • Yea, sounds kind of like a course by me that is mostly 200-250 feet and fairly woooded.

Good Job on the ace, keep it up :D

  • hey man you're a genius.....

  • THnaks for the kind words.

  • Why did you leave your disc behind? Is that part of the game?

  • I removed the disc after I turned the camera off.

  • Hey cubby! How about showing us how you throw?Maybe how you grip the disc.

I have been trying and trying to get a good drive but it rarely goes past 195 or maybe 200 feet.

So an ace is pretty much out of the question for now. Just a suggestion.

  • Thanks for the suggestion. It is on the top of my list to do this and I have had a number of people ask me to put something together. Hopefully soon. Take care my friend.

  • Wow, you're fantastic man. Apparently you were born for this game.

  • Thanks for the kind words. I do love the the game. It's all about passion.

  • Have you ever hit the chains, but the disk comes out the other side? It happened on a 30-foot putt today with me.

I like how your had to put 71 in the video too.

  • Yes I have had the disc come out the other side.

  • That was wicked because of all the leaves it went through!

  • Thanks!

  • Mark, Thanks for your uplifting words!

  • holy crap how do u get 3 aces in a day much less 79 aces?

  • By throwing lots of Ace runs :) My best day for Aces is 6 in a day.

  • Jeez! You're freaking amazing!

  • Thanks for your kind words.

  • how long did it take to get your first ace

  • I started playing March, 17th 1998. I got my first Ace on April 30, 1998.

  • Gret shot! What hole was this on this course? I recently played that course all the way from Austin, TX and I really enjoyed it, just wanted to know.

  • Thanks! This Ace was on Hole 15. I am glad you got to play the course when you were out here. It's great to have a course out here that can be played 24 hours a day.
