Marcus doesn't have the strongest voice, but brings it each performance, pushing himself, but doesn't have any distinct demographic voting base (same issue for LeRoy, who also did great in the sing~off). Josh may end up with the same problem (rockers and roadhouse blues fans probably don't watch X~factor much). The same thing just happened in the UK contest.

This is Marcus Canty's best performance. I am disappointed that he had to sing for survival. He sang it nearly as well as Christina Aguilera could. American Idol season 8's Jasmine Murray can sing this song better. I am glad Marcus made it through and not Leroy Bell, who does not have much time left. I am confident his performance this coming Wednesday will be his best performance. Drew is cheesy and tedious and is more like a club singer, so she should go home this week.

let's be honest... Josh,Leroy,Chris and Marcus really CAN sing and are talented...they should split 1st prize cause I think u can start singing career even with 1 million dollars.. they all have great voices for different type of music, and they should all have chance cause people from all parts of the world would love them and could listen to their favorite singer and his type of music..
so just add 1 woman to those 4 and split award.. this award prizing type is boring,make something new!

I wasn't really paying close attention to Marcus before!! I cannot understand how they thought that Leroy outdid him this time. Ive listened to it over and over since. This song.. in his voice.... undoes me.

i love both marcus and leroy, but to tell the truth i love leroy just a tad more, although if they were actually going to sell records, marcus would probably sell more cause he's more current.

marcus is an amazing singer but he definitely didn't do this song justice. it's definitely a song meant for a girl with a soft voice, just like the way christina sang it.

I hate the fact that Marcus doesn't have as many views as the other contestants! He's the best out of them all! Why can't people see that? Next week should hopefully be 'bye bye' to Chris Rene/Drew/Astro/Josh.

i would like to see Marcus sing ( she out of my life or ben) from the king of pop.( MJJ ). i got a feeling he you do it good. Too Marcus you was good doing that for your mom. i would have done the same too.

@SamoryBailey1 All you said is a matter of opinion. What do their race have anything to do with their talent? How is R&B not nationally like? Marcus has proved he can sing more than R&B --> example look above. This show is a platform for all the contestants. I'm sure many will have some type of career in music. I'm sure Leroy will be putting out music, so you can still support him. If you have so much dislike for the show, don't watch it! I swear some people are funny in this world.
