Try the Blackhoof River near Wrenshall. I've pulled a few decent brookies out of there. (though about 10 years ago) I believe they still put a few rainbows and browns in there too! Personally I find the Loopers to be a fish of a thousand casts!
try live bait when the water is high, and float it through those runs and pools. nice video though. I've fished there when its lower and there are some nice fish in there.
A fly rod would help, but if you're trying to hook into some brookies with a spinner, try giving some of the smaller Panther Martins a try. Color will all depend on the conditions of the stream and time of year.
