I got mine a couple of Years ago for lousy 200$ brand new...for the price a fantastic deal. The Hardware itself is cheap but the Sound makes up for it. The only Hardware Synths i own are Yamaha's ( AN200,DX200,EX-5,TG-500 ) so I figured I would try a Roland - the Filters arent bad on this one and you can program easy Trance/Techno/DnB Patches. The Drumsection is Roland typical good...with a Midi Keyboard hooked up on it you got a decent VA here...
Can you sequence other equipement from it's midi out?
I read it got 4 timbres... Is it possible to have an internal bassline going on one timbre, and have the a melody going throught the midi out on another timbre?
It has chord memory, Does that only work internal aswell? Or can it send poyphonic chords through midi out?
This is the main instrument for my recordings, first synth I bought and still my favorite. Yours has the blue led's and wood panels, mine does not look anywhere near as beautiful. Thanks for posting this video.
You are getting some very nice sounds out of that box! Ohhh I see one on Craiglist that is tempting me very much but he is a little high on his asking price.
Ok at least someone that have record direct into computer, i just bought one because i had the chance to get one for 190$ can. After checking your video i wanted that beast. Thanks, i will have my video soon of my cover of Jean-Michel Jarre Oxygene 4 100% SH-32 be tuned.
Well I just got SH-32, the only one I could find. They are getting noticed more, becoming rarer to find, and prices are increasing too!
SH-32 is more complicated than MicroKorg, but more direct, more fun for grooves, more interesting features, and more power. But the arpeggio is quite complicated and you definitely need to read the manual! SH-32 is like a lower cost alternative to the DSI Evolver.. They are both very versatile in sound, beyond typical analog sounds, and fun to use!
How much would you say one of these are worth, after watching this I'm gonna try and get hold of one if it's within reasonable price. thanks ;) nice video
I bought recently for about equal to $310 US in ok condition, but I just bought another for about $240 in very good condition, so im going to return the first one and keep the cheaper and better one..
Great synth! I bought it as my first non software synth with zero regrets! Creates a ton of awesome sounds. I think im going to create one of these videos as well with my own patches. Cheers!
those are cool, but i kinda like the minimalistic plain old industrial synthbox look too. This thing has strange design, it reminds me of an old computer from the 80's.

Awesome Panels and LED's...
ROLAND would be proud.
The SH-32 is a very underrated synth, I blew a pair of monitors with it.

Do you know how to check the current O.S ?
Mine won't do program changes, it just shows up as blank dashes when I want to change the patch with a program change message?
any ideas?
Also I want to do a bulk dump of my patches, but don't think ableton supports that, I tryed to do it with midiox app , but no joy...any help..thanks

For the such a small module the SH32 can create some wonderful sounds, close to the JD800 and JP8000, Im glad to own one.
