  • on my errr feet

  • Is this the best list on youtube? Ask me no questions I'll tell you no lies.

  • i don't get the mrs sidney poitier joke.... i've watched this series for years now. can someone explain it to me?

  • @OscarSumMusic Sidney Portier is a black MALE actor, and David said "Mrs."

  • What about "... Go and get the guitar..." ?

  • Why would you include captions? I think people get it.

  • What about

    1. "Id push the brother out the room and do the violinist"

    2. "no not up the arse!"

  • @BiggerThinking1 i was just about to write the same

  • "not your minge".

  • Best bit form the office is in the extra's with Keith and the fanny pack, sooooo many takes

  • it's spelt eczema not exma

  • #12 should be "Mr" not "mrs" :P

  • @TheBake1986 Can't tell if you're joking...

  • @Greengiant223 sounds like Mr to me as well

  • @benerban Yep, you're both right. I stand corrected

  • You missed Gareth's "David!!!" from the Bluto conversation.

  • Also think the scene from the scene from The Christmas special where he sees the woman who he thinks is his blind date should be on here!

  • *googles 'sex fetish'*

    62,000,000 results

  • @tylerdurden2006 I only get 38 million

  • As pleased as I am that you made this, it woulda been a lil better if you didn't have the text on the screen beforehand, kind of a spoiler!

    Cheers though

  • 7:33 The reason the camera pans to only one person is because, if you watched the blooper reels (I have no life), then you'll notice that it took them almost 30 takes to do the scene because Ricky kept laughing.

  • very interesting to see the cultural differences in comedy from observing these comments

  • this isn't funny for shit wtf...

  • Comment removed

  • it's a pity you don' t used the last scene of the show, the one about the rainbow. For me it desctibes the whole show in a sentence.

  • hard nipples @ 7:06!!!

  • @ererye Dane Cook fan, I take it?

  • Keep pressing 2 xD

    And keep pressing 7 :P

  • @ererye It's a mockumentary. It's not supposed to be watched in clips.

  • @ererye It's funny because it doesn't have to be spoon fed to you like a baby. It actually has some intelligence to it.

  • It's spelled "eczema" as opposed to "exma".

  • Number 8 is the best scene ever!

  • #4 the computer technician looks like Karl Pilkington XD

  • Gareth is brilliant.

  • Im not hating on anyone but why is it everyone takes our programmes such as the Americans doing their own version of The Office and another example Australia made their own Top Gear

  • Good selection!

  • number 2 should be number 1

  • The Office is so funny.

  • Lol, I love the way Gareth is making a note about the "Rape" line :P

  • It's spelt eczema

  • The black mans cock joke! especially the bit where he reaches the punch line and says "is it a black mans - Hiya!" fkin hilarious, having watched that little sketch numerous times i think the "hiya" bit was edited in afterwards!

  • @ialsohavetheinternet I agree. Black Man's Cock, Ultimate fantasy- lesbians, Eric Hitchmo, The Corrs etc were left out because I had planned to make another vid ' Top 10 scenes' which would include all these gems.. But, somehow I lost interest.. Should I make one? What say, guys?

Also, another vid 'Top 10 Opening Scenes' from the US version office coming up as soon as the Season 7 comes to an end.

  • excellent! love the last one i nearly died when i first heard it.

    Where's "Mister Toad........" though?!

  • 'so can you pi*s off im walking to John o' Groats for some spastics'......

  • #7 is "eczema," like the skin condition.

  • Mr Sidney Poitier!! lol Always liked that!

  • wow- what a terrible #1 line for the office! dont think i ever laughed at that once! you left out "he's thrown a kettle over a pub.. what have you done?''

  • @jimmybluebo totally agree...that's one of my faves too also "racial, so" and the exma clip didn't have any of the "dunno"'s which the repetition of are far funnier.

...Anyway "I think there's been a rape up there" is by far the funniest line IMO...besides that it was nice and the presentation of the lines was well constructed

  • @InferSader ...you don't know what you're talking about...i guess you have to really study every little bit and detail of the characters of British office (since I suppose you're not British and cannot understand British humour instantly) in order to realize how genius and how much better it is than the American one.

  • @kk789789789 perhaps it is genius, but only in the context of British humor, it would be hard to compare the two since they got cultural differences I guess

  • @InferSader quite correct, that's why the office had to be rewritten and adjusted for the american public. Nevertheless it is my opinion that as soon as one becomes acquainted with english humour (i'm greek by the way), its superiority becomes unquestionable - it really grows in you. Don't get me wrong, there are some brilliant american comedies and comedians out there - its just that english humour is a bit deeper, more ironic and psychological. Not only it makes you laugh, it makes you think.

  • @InferSader You're wrong, even if Creed is a great supporting character. The UK Office is perfection in television.

  • @dashofchutmeg Plus it was only on for 2 seasons so it makes the perfection even sweeter

  • I'm so glad there's been a rape up there was near the top!

  • @lunacywishes13 I thought you put "Im so glad theres been a rape up there" haha :D

  • Also, just looking at Gareth makes me wanna throw up... gross looking.

  • From an American point, I really can't say anyone but Ricky is all that funny... But I do like Ricky though... and yeah, actually pretty sexual too.

  • Fair play for putting this together. Cheers

  • 4:48 #11 39umth

proves that Gervais is an actor as well as a genius

  • Have not drawn a laugh from the US version. I gave up. One glance at the Gervais masterclass and I'm on the floor.

  • Mate, you've ruined the majority of these wonderfully timed punchlines with your incessant need to caption each and every one of them.

  • the upstairs downstairs is probably my fav. all time moment. perfectly depicts david brent

  • @vijaywins85 it is excema as in the skin disease...in the bloopers keith says 'yeah, on my feet'

  • Being from the US these terms are confusing

  • is gareth based on pilkington?

  • @newintown024 No.

  • @newintown024 No, he's based on a kid Ricky used to go to school with who was a bit of a bellend. He mentions him in a few stand up shows, he's the one who put a crab in a bottle of beer because Ricky said that crabs walk forwards when they're drunk and who would say things like "When you get captured by cannibals they show you pornographic pictures so that you get an erection and there's more meat."

  • Here in America...most of these jokes would be considered "not PC"...therefore, the British "Office" is much funnier than it's American counterpart

  • @GSeward What's "not PC"?

  • @Cashewnub In this vesion of the office, they make a lot of funny sexual jokes and even a few jokes aimed at racial issues...here in America these jokes would not be allowed. The American "office" is funny, but a bit watered down.

  • How on Earth could you get the caption for No12 wrong?

  • "Milligan, Cleese, Everett...sessions!"

    "The wanking claw"

  • @vijaywins85 You're wrong. Firstly, if it was meant to be 'X-mark', that's not funny. Secondly, look at the back of the series 2 dvd box, and it says 'Keith still has eczema'.

  • Brilliant - neededcheering up today and this did it :D Thanks !

  • I think there's been a rape up there!!!

  • What about when Brent told Finch to F-Off at the Christmas party??

  • @vijaywins85 rubbish. if you watch the bloopers youll discover keith has the eczema on his feet

  • Even gareth is phazed at the 'rape' line

  • Sex fetish returns 2230 matches? What search engine is he using? Bing?

  • WAIT SO a Dildo, was shown on TV...a dildo...i didn't know that was allowed in BBC

  • "there's been a rape" should have been number 1.

  • "Brent mused..."

    Hahaha

  • For me the #4 is the best! Hilarious

  • Trying so hard to prove he's not racist. Brilliant.

  • AHH dont but the quote before they do it!!?!?!?!?!

  • @vijaywins85 Thank you for clearing that up. I was really wondering what was meant by that - being Dutch and a huge fan of this show.

  • "Mr. Sidney Poitier." hahahaha

  • american version is like 1000x funnier

  • @xninjazx6r No.

  • @lordofthesting Yes. I didnt laugh at any of these lines AT ALL!!!

  • @xninjazx6r What are you, American?

  • @NZartfuldando yeah

  • @xninjazx6r That's probably why :)

  • @xninjazx6r Dosen't mean that the version you prefere is the "Best", that's a preference, the fact is, world wide, The Original Office is more popular. Only a fact.

  • I THINK THERE'S BEEN A RAPE UP THERE!!

  • ooo...mr* sidney poitier tho aint it....video was great tho so...every cloud :D

  • @vijaywins85 :-) No you nugget it is eczema.

  • @vijaywins85 how do you know that? I'm still pretty sure it's supposed to be eczema, as no-one would ever pronounce 'X' as exma, and it wouldn't otherwise be funny. Sorry to be a pedant. Check the wiki article "keith bishop (the office)"

  • "oh for fuck sake" should be up there when Brent goes on the blind date :p

  • surely, "i think there's been a rape up there" should be #1! also, where's, "Two lesbians probably, sisters. I'm just watching." that would be #2

  • My all time favorite:

"And people say she's just a big pair of tits."

  • haah at gareth pretending to stab a tiger with a pen after tim said it

  • #2 should be #1.

  • oggy

  • Sidney Poitier <3

  • 2:20 'AT IT'.

  • 5mins38... love it! :)

  • Kinda weird Ricky always looks at the camera shortly almost on every clese-up seen.

  • Different frogs, different times...

  • eczema :L

  • UK Office is the best

  • The office UK is not a LMAO kind of sitcom and it's not supposed to be. On the other hand it's written and performed with a lot more feel than the american version. The office uk is funny because you can picture your self in the situations that arises, and feel what the characters are feeling. The office US is just to crazy to be believable. That's why i don't like it. I don't feel anything for the characters in that show. There are way better american sitcoms than that one.

  • #24 "No you can't." ;) Sounds like he is speaking from his own experience. Haha

  • Americans have a different sense of humour to us Brits. Which is why Ricky Gervais has caused a lot of trouble at the award ceremonies because the American stars don't know how to handle the jokes!

  • @nrjelley tragic shame isn't it.

  • tech-guy with screwdriver in mouth at 6.57 made my day, today.

  • I had to squint watching this to avoid the punchline being given away at the bottom of the screen. I want to watch it and hear again the lines I loved originally!

  • cringe humour.. ricky is the best

  • nice way to kill a joke jackass, lose the subtitles

  • Funny.. although i think i prefer the original U.S version.

  • @ljohns84 oh dear. worst comment ever. 'original U.S version' haha

  • @ljohns84 dick'ed was originally from the uk u nob

  • @ljohns84 I hope you're trolling

  • @ljohns84 oh you 'tard! you know there's a whole world out there, making shows before you get your hands on them

  • David Brent would rather be dead than not have arms or legs? What about 'THE PILLOW MAN' and his contributions to society?? (see the ricky gervais show for explanation)

  • @redflost yeah lol me too

  • If the line is written on the screen before it's heard, it spoils the humour, einstein.

  • my god that rape line is amaaaaaaaaaaaaazing

  • I like how the punchline is given away every single time. Yay.

  • LOL @ HOW he says, "I'm just getting into Yoga..."

  • 7:30 ftw

  • ...Sessions

  • omg so whats a goblin made me cry

  • i'm 39umpth... haha

  • You don't see heels like those much these days-

    You can still find em.....

  • I missed probably the best office speech. The one of the africans in the red nose day.

Do it yourself! I got to save some Africans!!!

  • Jesus, this is so difficult to watch. Most awkward thing I've ever seen. I love it

  • jenifer is Hot

  • good but some crackin lines missed out. "People see me, and they see the suit, and they go.... "you're not fooling anyone".... they know im rock and roll through and through." best line.

  • "They should be equal"-favorite

  • Great vid. Although I love the line where the Slough lot are drunk in Chasers and. Finchy gives Brent grief and claims 'he couldn't pull in a brothel'. Brent turns to the 'fat bird' he's been chatting up idly by Finch, and says, plastered, 'I can. And I have!'.

  • btw 'exma' is spelt eczema

  • Catch 'The InBetweeners' on BBC America before they remake it for the US (which is happening!)

  • Comment removed

  • @jacainrules both versions as you call them are written by the same people

  • @norfolkpeps Actually no they arent, The office UK was exclusively written by merchant and ricky themselves. The office US has mutiple different writers for the show, some of the actors on the show even write some of the episodes.

  • @NeoOsiris19 The Office was adapted for American audiences by executive producer Greg Daniels, a veteran writer for Saturday Night Live, King of the Hill and The Simpsons. The creators of the original BBC series, Ricky Gervais and Stephen Merchant are executive producers and also co-wrote the pilot episode with Daniels and wrote the season three episode, "The Convict".[1] It is co-produced by Daniels's Deedle-Dee Productions, and Reveille Productions, in association with Universal Media Studios.

  • I'd rather be dead!! xD lol

  • lilbennyt other way round more like

  • i think the british one is really cool, I like it, but in the us-version, in my opinion the cast as a whole has a better, more natural chemistry.

  • @Gonko100 but thats not the idea of the show! its about working in a boring office environment with people you dont like....... its supposed to be a low budget documentry filmed by an amature film crew, its not supposed to be perfect! the usa series is more of a show than a documentry, the cameras are more perfect and it seems like the cast was chosen to work well together! the uk version was not supposed to be like that at all and thats why i like it more

  • yeh why would you put it at the bottom?? in quotation marks with spelling mistakes... exma? eczema.

  • I'm an American, and I absolutely love the Brentmeister General. This show is much better than the US version.

  • for the record... not all Americans are douchebags the way some of these people are...unfortunately we are trapped for good British TV on Youtube..BBC America sucks. Peep show is on at like 4am

  • @flyoverangel the peeeeep showwww, now theres a good programme!! i love it

  • @bushlove45 you're obvisouly american. You don't understand good humor. Give us a call when you actually come up with a decent comedy show on your own, mkay?

  • haahah, i would have included the gareth keenan investigates and also the superchicken :P

  • I never realised Olivia Coleman was in The Office :O

  • It's hard to pick out the best lines in The Office, every single one of them is pure genius!

  • Missed out the "What room?"

    "362"

"There is no 362, some of the complaints, will be false".

    One of the funniest.

  • Boring

  • @bushlove45 Whats your point?

  • The American version was shite, but just like everything American really...

  • 31 people are odd.

  • Why do The Office video posts always become a British vs. American version debate? I prefer the British but I think both are good. Anyway, great vid! You did miss two of my favs though...Tim saying how he's not immature and then he calls Gareth's cell phone holster and says "Cock!" The other being the famous chat where Gareth explains his battle strategy to Tim and Dawn, and it's basically a euphemism for sex

  • "I'm not saying they should be......... put down."

  • chris finch good friend and a bloody good rep, iq of 142 he was in an argument once and said ''how can i hate woman? my mums one''. Genius on so many levels yet not included? Ludicrous.

  • @bushlove45 fuck off idiot. back to 'how i met your mother' for classic US comedy

  • An Elf is a supernatural being.

  • Sometimes I feel as if Ricky Gervais is a John Ritter clone. He could do worse.

    Love,

    GentleIslam . com

  • who needs LA when you have SLOUGH!!!!

  • No Jamiekelly12 , adnani is right . He says 'MR' Sidney Poitier.

  • UK one is a joookkkkeeeeeee

  • Best video on youtube!!!

Now you do not punish people dutch or otherwise for having big boobs..

    Hahahahahahahahahahahaaaaa

  • Haha they asked what race Spock was at my local pub quiz. Ours was the only team that got it right, as I'm the only one who watches The Office. Cheers, Brent!!!
