I think you bring some valueable insight into the mind set. I think this is what you are saying, you believe that homosexuals are born that way. You also believe the normal order of things is men being attracted to women & woman to men. I would agree on both counts, but you then jump to anything not normal is a defect or illness. Even the Quran isn't very specific about whether homosexuality itself is wrong (Lut's men had other "faults", if you want to call them that).
