For every man, there is a different taste. This bike looks sick, its beautiful, but i prefer the look of GSX-R, it doesn't mean that its better bike than this babe, it just the way i look at it. I like the way it is put together. For some blokes Gixxer would be ugly as hell, and this CBR is the mother of all bikes.

Its just the matter of taste, as all these bikes are really close in perfomance.

I will admit I want this bike, but it's so freaking ugly. it looks like somebody with their nose pressed up against the glass.(the front end that is) the rest of it is alright... but I hear the performance is amazing. I got to ride a friends once, but we were in the city so I didn't really get to experience it.

So what is the difference when you have ABS and a slipper clutch i mean if you have a slipper clutch then just down shift and let the slipper stop you, i have 2006 CBR1000RR but i dont know i think dont have a slipper clutch of any kind. or is that a slipper clutch just not slippery enough.

Also it is a great bike but Honda has to stop making bikes smaller nobody wants a tinny liter bike even it is faster and better handling. Make your engine more powerful like the GXR

abs helps not only when your decelerating but when accelerating...so it stops your wheel from skipping..you don't need a slipper clutch to engine break, but if your racing and downshift too soon than thats what the slipper clutch is for, to keep the rear wheel from locking up...

I thought the fire was ugly also until I read the reviews about this bike. I own a GSXR 1000 K7 already and was looking into a 2nd bike. Until I rode and read the reviews. It won my heart. Its the lightest of all 1000s 2008-2009. Even the new R1 is over 20lbs for 2009. The Honda feels great and handles better than my GSXR 1000 k7

Im an owner of B-King. People say same things about the big bikes (haya, kawasaki zzr 1400 and my bike) that they are the uggliest ones around.

Till you see them, touch them, grasp the every single detail...

From me - I started to like the new CBRs the moment I saw them in reality. Pictures show nothing.

I loved CBRs since the 90s with the 900RR fire blade, 929 then 954 and 1000RR of 2004

I am a Honda man all the way but this model is just plain ol ugly. Especially the exhaust. It looks like a warped pair of binoculars. I'm sure it's a dream to ride though.

I agree. I have been a fan of Honda since the F4i, and I loved the sharp looks of the older models, but they straight up uglified this model. Its not the worst bike I have seen, but it does not rank among other high quality products Honda has accomplished.

The 2007 model was one of the best looking road bikes around, i was going to buy a honda this year, but when i saw the 2008 model, i thought it looked like a SLUG. The ugliest road bike ever, WHAT WERE YOU THINKING HONDA???!!!

This is a great looking bike and I'm going to buy one as soon as they become available. I prefer the dark cherry red and silver colop option. The styling is a step forward and looks much better than the look that all sport bikes seem to have taken on. It's sleek and functional. The slipper clutch is a big step forward over the previous CBR-RRs. Can't wait to get my hands on one.

I personally liked the look of my 04 way better (more Ducati-esque) but the new one has grown on me. Mostly because it's soo much better, even though looks have taken a new direction.
