  • BOB SEGAR on his BEST DAY of his career couldnt play this song as good as this...

    LIZZY IS GOD!

  • @harveydents Bullshit

  • @22LowLife22 no...its called FACT.

  • @harveydents haha, how could that be a fact?

  • @22LowLife22 hahaahahah ok mate...you got me...it aint a fact...but i just LOVE LIZZY...and never never liked Segar....how is that? Its an opinon like an asshole every ones got one mate

  • @harveydents I would have to disagree, I've heard Beavis say, "I am cornholio, I have no bunghole."

  • I always wanted children and Rosalie was one of the names I had chosen....if I couldve had children. It might seem corny but its because of this song. And yes I know its a Bob Seger song. Hes an Amerikan legend. Love Lizzy too. Im never tired of hearing 'em. ♥

  • Their rewrite of the lyrics miss the whole point of Bob Seger's original version.

  • @crazymactech dude even bob seger likes this song, who cares if you dont

  • Something about this song reminds me of 'Bitch is back'. Can't put my finger on it though.

  • I named my Les Paul after this song

  • motorhead covered this song multiple times touring. i remember in argentina in 2007 " EVERYONES KNOWS THIN LIZZY"? YEAAAAAAAAAAAAH

  • lizzy should have done more covers.

  • I love this song; my girlfriend says it reminds her of me <3!!

  • @venusdetroit thats bullshit.

  • @SarmVX How so? Some of us queer gals are all about rock & roll, ya know.

  • @venusdetroit Is your name Rosalie?

Cause it's kinda a sweet gesture.

  • I never in my wildest dreams thought that Thin Lizzy would EVER open an album with a filler!

  • @85ihateposeurs -- True; but what a great filler it is. They tuned up the song by 370% and made it totally their own. If you compare it with the original version, which is performed at a snail's speed, you'll get my point.

  • great song but i prefere live version caus' more power

  • ONE WORD - BRILLIANT!!! - UTTERLY FANTASTIC SONG!!! RIP PHIL <3

  • 3 people never done anything they wanted

  • great song; but live version ten folds better;

  • How slow is this compered to the live version

  • He is the KING!!

  • muito bom!

  • All time Classic!!!

  • Every time I hear someone other than Bob sing this, I wonder if the band knows who they're singing about.....

  • Ya Ive never heard a song called ninja cookies lol

  • I love it so much! I can never find any songs with my name :)

  • @NinjaCOOKIES34 haha same x

  • Thin Lizzy is my favourite band (with The Clash and a japanese band called monobright).Everything that I have to say, they said for me. Great song. Only it!!!

  • finally uploaded! thanks man!

  • Thin Lizzy are without a doubt one of rock's most underrated bands. This song is solid gold!

  • im 11 and this song is still AMAZING!

  • is this the studio version, or just a really really well recorded live version?!!

  • Possibly my favourite Lizzy song!

  • @RotherhamAdam101 It was written about our little old radio station in Windsor Ontario Canada. Ms Trombley was program directer at CKLW the Big 8(AM 800) that was able to broadcast in 4 provinces and 20 odd american states. It was a trendsetter before music shattered into a hundreds of subgenres. That station had one powerful antenae and at night could be heard in Scandinavia

  • @RotherhamAdam101 A cover? Come on, Phil has some of the greatest songs ever written.

  • Great Song !! Thanks for uploading this !

  • i love the live version of this song from thin lizzy

  • I wonder if anybody else ever did a song about a radio station music director (or a jock, for that matter) that WASN'T a station promo?

  • to muovibussi that song rock n roll damnation came after this song and bob seger did this song in 1973 followed by thin lizzy in 1975, however rock n roll damnation was released 1978

  • to muovibussi bob seger did this song too not sure if before or after .. : \

  • Just to let everybody know, not to deny the quality of Thin Lizzy, but this is a Bob Seger cover.

  • same riff than acdc - rock 'n roll damnation

  • Muovibussi

    LOL

    i can hear it too

  • Ohh Yeah, great style and rhythm.... >> Perfecta Song by Thin Lizzy !

  • yeah but live this track was a killer

  • well said pal!!

  • sorry theres alot of thinn lizzy songs that are tons better

  • my name is Rosalie :D

  • well underated i cant believe the lousy number of hits this song has,its 1 of thin lizzys best works.ROOOOSALIEEEE

  • as for being a "work" of thin lizzy, it was written by bob seger about a gal that used to work in a famous AM radio staion in Windsor/Detroit CKLW back in the late 60s early 70s

  • Thank You.

  • This song reminds me of Kiss, tis a fuckin great song thou this badn is defintly under-rated

  • Well, Thin Lizzy came before Kiss. Everyone in the 70's tried to mimic the dual lead guitars that Lizzy "created" (i.e. Kiss, Boston, etc.). So it is no wonder that Kiss sounds like Thin Lizzy when their style is basically a replica (and a bad one, in my opinion) of what Thin Lizzy started.

  • Boston wasn't a dual lead band, either, but Tom Scholz doubled his guitar sound to emulate it, just like Ace Frehley did.

Also: Thin Lizzy was founded in '69, whereas Kiss was three years later.

I was just trying to make a statement about how influential Thin Lizzy is, despite how little credit people give them. Also, the Beatles themselves had 45 Gold Albums and 24 multi-platinum albums which dwarves Kiss's 23 Gold Albums, so I have no idea where you're getting this "most all-time" stuff from.

  • lol how could the Beatles have 45 gold albums if they only made 12 studio albums? I never understood that stuff, KISS has 30 studio albums and nearly all of them went Gold. Don't count all the diff "greatest hits compilations" and KISS is way ahead. Ace doubled his guitar sound? Really?

  • Well, technically the Beatles had only 12 studio releases, but if you count their European releases then they have 27. Still, I'll be fair and give it to you that they only have 12.

I'm not trying to insult Ace by saying what I am, many guitarists doubled when the technology was available, including my favorite guitar player Alex Lifeson. I'm just saying that it was a common thing and Lizzy was maybe the first to do it with Brian Robertson and Scott Gorham.

  • I learned something new today, Lizzy is an underrated band. Their guitarist I believe it's Scott Gorham, is amazing. Listen to "The Rocker" and the 3 min guitar solo as it gets more and more intense, amazing guitarist.

  • For me, it's hard to get better than Thin Lizzy.

  • The original version of "The rocker" on the studio album was played by guitarist Eric Bell. His style is noticably different from Gorham.

  • who cares about KISS.theyr a fuckin joke

  • Would have loved to see this live -Very loud, bet that riff would sound ace

  • Bob Segar dedicated this song to Rosalie Trombley legendary music director of AM Top 40 powerhouse CKLW aka The BIG 8.Thin Lizzy version:

    Shes got the power

    She is a tower, rosalie

    Bob Segar:

    She's got the power,

    she's got the tower

  • They do deserve more credit. But I kinda like Thin Lizzy how they are. They're almost like a hidden jem of rock.

  • This is also my name!

    >:P

  • YAY MY NAME IS ROSALIE :)

  • Good for you.

  • <.8

  • I LOVE THIS SONG! .. but it is a little to slow.. the live version is better.. of coure this is clearer..;D

  • Yeah there is no doubt that AC/DC were very influenced by Thin Lizzy. I am surprised that they don't credit Lizzy more often with being an influence on them. I just wish Lizzy made more tracks in thsi style while they were in thier prime

  • this riff is allot like rock n roll damnation by ac/dc

  • Can't hear the backing harmony in this song. The song I have they come in clear. weird.

  • i was named after this song :D

  • My name is Rosalie too :))

  • HELL YEAH!!!

  • This song is so damn good!! :D

  • good song

  • im a seger freak i had totaly forgot thin lizzy covered this song ....they did a good job i must say
