@funfunsam1 there is gonna be a FF 13-3, I bet all of square-enix's good ideas are floating in the pacific ocean after all those huge storms hit Japan. There is always hope for FF15 since 14 already sunk.
@balbanes1 Square Enix's good ideas aren't floating anywhere. FF13-2 is a fantastic game, and much much better than 13. Final Fantasy and Square Enix as a whole is evolving for the better.

But you gotta admit that they have made alot of poor decisions in the last few years, FF13 being a huge disappointment and FF14 having so many flaws that right now it is unplayable and also allowing Cavia to be dissolved. If FF13-2 is a better game, that is great news. I do not want them to fail but in my opinion FF13 was a step back in the series.
@balbanes1 idk if there is going to be a FF13-3 but that "be to continued" at the ending of the game is setting up for more endings square enix will have for FF13-2 later that you can only get as a DLC and pay more money to see them
Eternal Sonata is my fav rpg period!! It matches all the criteria I want in a good rpg: good gameplay and controls, originality, great side quests, good storyline, and good chars, and a good challenge at times. It was a perk that it had romance in it. I am sucker for romance lol.
TBH I prefer my ps3 and old school consoles for JPRG's and wut not hell I important Tales of vesperia from play asia for like 100 dollars for my ps3. even though i have an xbox -.-

I do agree that RPG are lacking in story lately... FF has not have a great story since 10 and grandia 3 could not hold a candle to grandia 2 story wise. an exception to this however is tales of vesperia which came out what.... 3 years ago? @TAPriceCTR Yeah it does, the start is a bit confusing and boring but the further you are its pretty good. But anyways, yeah the tales of series are great, though I do get anoyed a little by there little love elements in it, but then they don't kiss etc, it just makes the love parts pointless XD
FF13 was more of an interactive movie than a game in my opinion, i didn't enjoy it at all. I didn't like any of the characters in Star Ocean and i just couldn't keep playing it, which is a shame, because i have 2 friends who say it's brilliant. Tales of Vesperia is one of my favourite games though.

I dislike the title of this video for one main reason.. almost ALL of those games are also on the Playstation 3, there for, the title is false. Final Fantasy XIII was meant for PS3, but that gave it to Xbox as well for more sales and profit.
@24kurokami I absolutely loved the combat, characters, and atmosphere of Resonance of Fate, but to this day I still don't understand what the hell the story was about.
Lost Odyssey was the best rpg in a very long time. I think FFVersus13 will be good but FFXIII disappointed me(thats just my opinion, im not trying to pick a fight). NOOB question; are all JRPGs turn-based...? if not, which turn-based RPGs does everyone on here recommend? games I have loved in the past; Grandia 2 & 3 FFVII the Pokemon series Eternal Eyes (sucked really but for some weird reason i liked it) also, any games out there that have the ability to capture weaker opponents to ad to your group during battles? Last Remnant and Infinite Undiscovery could have been so much better with a little polish! Blue Dragon does not intrest me in the least. Hopefully we will see some JRPG classics this coming year.
I've played the star ocean the last hope and I was dissapionted that it wasn't as good as star ocean till the end of time. Can anyone recommend an RPG that's realtime. (I WAS NOT BOTHERED by the fact that in SO3 you were on a dark ages kind of planet though I do want some sort of a techy feel.
