Does this work well with down tuned guitars? Let's say C standard?

@ShimmySystem It's probably better to transpose the MIDI sound to C instead of detuning. I find the slack strings cause tracking problems....

Does it only work with a pick? I play fingerstyle.

@terrapin227 yes it works fingerstyle. Theres a setting in the editor to switch it from pick to fingerstyle. Also, Ive had mie for years and the tracking is so bad that its not good for anything but noodlin around with. If you want to record with it youll get better results out of any Roland unit. I have an old GR-50 that will run circles around my Axon.

@alexmcginness Same here. I could never get this thing to track properly using the GK-2. I heard the Piezo pickups work a little better. I was pretty disappointed. I'll be trying the Roland GR-33...haven't given up hope yet :-)

since the axon gets the info from the picking, does that mean that hammer ons and pulloffs wont work???

Yes, i'm curious too :) But logically since hammer-ons/pull-offs is transmitted as PitchBend data, it should work fine because the info from the picking is just for determining MIDI Note Number i think, that will be used in Note On Events. After all determining MIDI Note Number is the main problem in Pitch-To-MIDI conversion..
