"The Fortune" IS from Helluva Band. And it's their second album. Their first album is simply called Angel. Tower opens side one. If you haven't heard this album yet, you're in for a treat!

1st time I saw them was at the Palladium on 14th St in NYC. The opening acts were The Godz and Judas Priest. Then I saw Angel open for Styx at Madison Square Garden. Awesome!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Cleveland Music Hall 1976 very small venue. I was 15. Angel, Babies and the Godz. Got to go to the hotel and party with the band afterwards. I rolled in at about 5:00am. Mom and Dad were up waiting, but it was worth it : )

Angel was one of the finest and most complete bands in the history of american rock. Unfortunately, all that magic was dissolved with the subsequent recordings to Helluva Band. What a pitty, Angel & Helluva Band are gems that stand the passing of the time.....eternal masterpieces......

HOLY SHIT.the fortune live.i was to young to see any 70s band live but i used to get very high and listen to this in the dark while playing with my toys as a 12 yr old.little young to be gettin high but great memories man in the freezing wastelands of icy upstate N.Y u can imagine .sounds even better live.WOW.what musicians they were.its sounds so perfect. thanks so much.u are a god.

I was just looking at the band member credits and if this was in 76 it should be Mickie Jones on bass??? (RIP Mickie) I think Felix was around 78 on the White Hot LP

This is w/ Mickey . ( Tower , Chicken Soup , white Lightning and The Fortune )Songs aired are from the First three albums ( if you count White lightning which had'nt been recorded yet and you can clearly make out Frank making up all the lyrics as they perform it . ( totally differant along with a few made up words ) Still super Cool .

Saw and met the band in 1978 and 1979 in KC.....met Frank again in 2009 in Vegas. Loved Angel then and always will.

I have an excellent copy ( radio show )of them performing tower , chicken soup and white lightning ( before it was released ) lyrics are totally differant ( sure he's just making it up as he goes ). Now I just added The Fortune so that makes the complete Radio broadcast .

Angel was in the movie Foxes which was originally supposed to be a Film about ANGEL.

A fan came up with the ANGEL logo that you can read upside down and gave it to one of the members at a show

Frank Zappa wrote a song about Punky, making fun of his powty lips in the Baby Snakes Video.
