My Uncle, Ralph Knechtel Captained the ST. Crapo out of Alpena for almost 30 years. He was a fine man, He recently passed away. These ships and their crew were amazing. It's to bad the industry has dropped so much and put many of these fine vessels to the scrap yard.

I like it, yes, Ive been to the Macinac Bride, IVe seen the ST Crapo in Greenbay, only about 160 miles from where i live in Wisconsin, love tose lake boats.
