  • wow...cool....but kinda creepy

  • Very realistic. Well done.

  • Is there a video of how you mold with texclay the the back part of the face making the full bust?

  • @jorgealexmr Check some of our other videos. We have several that show texclay being cast. We also have a full DVD on the process of pouring a clay head, molding it, and casting a realistic silicone, foam filled copy. The DVD is "Fundamentals of Silicone Skins".

  • I understand that you can subtract but can one also add effects to texclay?

  • @MikroBadass Yes. Texclay allows you to add and subtract clay. At 5:40 I am adding more clay to build up the lower eyelid.

  • hi, thanks for the cool video. i have a little question. could u tell me where could i purchase such eyes online? `my husband is a sculptor and is looking for eyes. thanks!!! Jasmin and Osama

  • @zatarova Check our webstore. We have inexpensive acrylic eyes.

  • this is so good

  • Reminds me alot of Captain Kirk

  • way cool brother

  • Gosh this was fun to watch! Thanks! Like others, makes me want to try as well. hmm..

  • Can you do this with roma plastilina clay?

  • @Moshingrobot Yes, it may not melt and pour as easy but it can be done.

  • @brickintheyard recommended temperature for roma plastilina?

  • @Moshingrobot Check with suppliers of Roma. I have never used Roma like that.

  • what can you use the head for? to make silicone casts? or is this going to be the prop of say a dismembered head?

    your videos are top noch.

  • @shadowone07 This is for a prop head. The clay is molded in 74-30 , fiberglass, or plaster and cast in silicone.

  • what can you use the head for? to make silicone casts? or is this going to be the prop of say a dismembered head?

    your videos are top noch.

  • @shadowone07 This is used to mold to create a silicone head, and thanks! Glad you like the videos.

  • How/can you use these eyes with a gel-10 cast?

  • The eyes, yes. Technique, no.

  • @brickintheyard What technique do you use? (how do you make it look good?)

  • looks like a decomposing head @ 4:05

  • You are amazing... O_O

    I want to do exactly this... but I don't have the right materials ^^;;

  • Hey, I was just wondering if you could point me in the direction of where I can get some of these eyes myself? I've been looking around but haven't had much luck.

Thanks a lot in advance. Also, awesome videos. Makes art school so much easier ;P

  • They are available on our webstore.

  • @lonelysock just use old doll eyes or stuffed teddy bear eyes

  • here is my personal recipe for my sculpting wax, buy a block of candle wax

melt, add an equal or less volume of toilet bowl wax rings. the mixture when warmed by the fingers tools just like clay.

  • ?????????????

  • just went through your videos on sculpting and stuff.....!! ? you guys are simply great....keep it up!! .. I know things are rough..now-a-days but still keep it up

  • Can you do an initial brush coat of the clay and then pour the clay in and rotate the head like a latex slush mask? I'm asking because in the video it looks like you just keep brushing layer upon layer on.

  • Yes. You can do a slosh coat. I think we have another video on that.

  • is this amazing?

  • Yes.

  • Why

  • I read something about a medium that you can use to cast a subject with OPEN eyes...any ideas brick??

  • Nope.

  • never ever have anyone do open eyes unless you buy a mold that has open eyes in it.

  • Is there any way you can make a vid about smoothing out the clay? Different techniques?

  • I'll see what I can do.

  • I assume this clay is non sulphour based?

  • That's correct.

  • hi brick in the yard, love your work.

just wondering what that box thing is you keep your clay melted in?

    thanks

  • That is an industrial sized roaster. A regular crock pot works too.

  • thanks very much

  • im trying to find a how to video on making silicone masks full head . i want to see the entire process . i saw one video but they didnt show how to inject the silicone . any chance you might know of such a video?

  • It is a vetry involved process, not one that may be simplified for youtube. The Neill Gorton series explains the process. If you are serious it is the best way to learn. You can find it on our webstore.

  • Hi, thank you for posting. About how many pounds of Texclay would you need for a face cast? Thank you.

  • a 3 lb black would make 2 faces.

  • Thank you :-)

  • VERY TALENTED WORK.

  • Thanks!

  • i tend to melt chavant quite alot and ive got the burns to prove it ~ yeah so when you melt chavant is it toxic?

( it lets off quite alot of fumes?)

  • Hmmmm. Not sure. If you burn it, that might produce some problems but not melting.

  • @oneu778 toxic? if your huffing it yes most likely but I don't think its toxic. To be safe wear a respirator. Anytime I've melted chavant I don't get too bad a smell. Just the smell of clay is a bit stronger.

  • I like this music

  • How do you add that cast to a full head cast without damaging it? For example, if i wanted to make a full head mold without damaging the original piece.

  • We just did a face here to show the basic process. You could cast a head hollow and insert the eyes through the neck. That's how we do it on a head & shoulders cast.

  • I see i see, i understand now, thanks!

  • Were do you get your eyes????

  • Check our webstore. The link is at the end of the video.

  • kinda creepy but VERY COOL!!

  • thats creepy.

  • i wish Tupac had a deah mask

  • where can i buy those eyes?

  • Go to our webstore.

  • you guys are freakin awesome!

  • travail très intéressant de modelage débutant par un estampage terre dans un moule en latex.
