@SileX84 You are dead wrong. Argentina is head to head against Brasil in all-time matches, way ahead of Brasil in Copa America and pretty much even in other competitions. In 1986 Argentina had a pretty solid team, with a great defense and midfield, Maradona just made the difference and tiped the games in favor of Argentina. The proof is that in in 1990 Maradona was far from top shape and Argentina still reached the final with a similar team than that of 1990.

messi plays more of a playmaker for argentina but the argentina players miss a lot of his great passes that is frustrating. Messi plays with same intesity as with barcelona. If argentina changes their system and add a player like riquelme(playmaker) that would leave messi up front to score more goals

@SileX84 You are dead wrong. Argentina is head to head against Brasil in all-time matches, way ahead of Brasil in Copa America and pretty much even in other competitions. In 1986 Argentina had a pretty solid team, with a great defense and midfield, Maradona just made the difference and tiped the games in favor of Argentina. The proof is that in in 1990 Maradona was far from top shape and Argentina still reached the final with a similar team than that of 1990.

And in Copa America you don't find teams like Germany, Italy, Netherlands, Spain or France. Yes WC is about marketing, since europe lost alot of places in the advantage of Asia, Oceania or Africa. In my opinion from 32 teams, Europe should have 24. Argentina deserves always a place in the world cup. I Never said it's not a good a team.

What amazes me the most about Messi is his consistency, game after game he is able to produce amazing plays, dribbles shots, goals, assits. He is just a joy to watch. Todays football has better, smarter and quicker defenders, higher overall tempo, players are all stronger, tactics have become more complicated and better etc. I doubt any of those classic legends could do so good like they did, in recent times. Argentina even dominated germany and should have beaten it, but we were forced to change goalies (due to a blatant foul by Klose that wasnt even called) and Pekerman made a huge mistake by not playing Messi. Argentina was the best team in that tournament, hands down.

He wasn't even part of the team that won the 2nd one because he was injured in the first game. Garrincha was the heartbeat of that Brazil. And they still won. He wasn't the man of the tournament until '70 and the squad was full of stars. By then Didi ('58 star) and Garrincha ('62 star) were not there.

For a god sake. Do you really think its only Messi's mates false? If you want to call him "the best player in a history", let him be like Pele, Ronaldinho or Maradona. Wherever they was, they managed their teams to win tournaments. Messi can't manage Argentina to win World Cup, becouse he is "the best" only in Barcelona. And thats the main reason why he is worse than Pele, Maradona, Zidane, Ronaldinho etc.

@amirRXZ2008 Argentina have probably the best attacking formation in certain world. Higuain, Aguero, Tevez, Milito. They are one of the best strikers on the planet. Maradona, Pele and Ronaldinho played in a diffrent teams and have been winning tournaments. Messi played only only in Barcelona and in his national team, and in Blaugrana he is great just becouse of Xavi and Iniesta. I dont say he isn't actualy a best player on the earth, but definitly he is not the best player in a history...

@Bar7hezz The Xavi and Iniesta thing is getting old. Messi is Barcelona's best player. He is the one who nscores the most and creates the most. Yes, he is helped by playng in a great side, but he plays a big part in making them that. Look at the great solo goals he's scored where Xavi and Iniesta have played no part.. Look at all the chances he creates for himself and others. Not to mention, he has recently scored two hat-tricks with neither playing. Messi is a great player in his own right.

I don´t think Messi can control the tempo of a match like Xavi can.While Messi is better at dribbling and is very good at passing i don´t see him anywhere near Xavis level as a Deep lying playmaker and well thats what Xavi does.Difference between them do is that they don´t play the same position.Xavi does dictate the tempo of the Game for Barcelona Messi is to direct to do that in my Opinion.Messi makes assist but thats his job he plays a much more offensive part then Xavi.
