I know which thunderbird sc is in this video, and yes it is not stock. It is a low 13 second car, best run very close to 13 seconds flat. Is that rx7 supposed to be quicker then that? In this video the driver didn't show us so.

the skyline and supra are both rice, anything japanese is rice, and to angel, the SC is a 3.8 liter v6 with nothing but a ported charger, against a stock, if thats what you call em these days, 1.3 anything the SC has it hands down... and the rx7 wasnt stock, that was blow off after the burnout

the thunderbird has a 3.8 liter v6 supercharged engine . it sounds like it might have a a ported blower but other than that it didnt sound too modded to me . the reason the sc caught up so quick is because the guy in the rx 7 missed third . sc 's are capable of 450 plus horse making evn bigger torque .there are ten second supercoupes out there ..this one is not one of them

Silly rabbit Rotaries last 80k miles on average. Their sport cars are something of lacking but their fuel saving compacts which you try to race are indeed not shitty....until you race them :) BTW stock RX-7 NA and Turbo are quick but not fast unless extensively modded. Fast is indy cars, top fuel dragsters, exotics.

Yes they are high mantinace and burn quite amount the oil, but their very strong motors, the reason you hear ppl blowing them at 80k is because they up the boost on a aftermarket turbo with the stock ports on the engine. They think they can take it to 8k everytime they drive it lol...people rag their shit out and its stupid on their part. Rotary motors are very well built.

Correct but I am talking exclusively about the turbo model. The car is ment to be driven hard to properly lubricate the apex seals so even easy driving isn't recommended for the 13B. The Renesis in the RX-8 has also proven that rotaries still have a long ways before become reliable as a modular V style motor. How many RX-7's do you still see on the road? Let alone with its original motor? Point exactly, you don't.

Yes a NA(12B) is notoriously known for getting well over 100k miles with basic maintenace over a period of time, BUT the turbo charged (13B) is also notorious for becoming useless after 80k miles basic maintenance or not. Car and Drive even did an exclusive on a 1991 RX-7 for having 200k+ miles on the 13B simply because it was never heard of. The apex seals in the motor especially when boosted have a very limited lifespan. Which is also the reason Mazda discontinue the RX line of cars.
