In gymnastics world, Chinese and Russians are the best dance teams. They have their unique styles, they pay great attention to floor music and they put their emotions in their dances. Their gymnasts also have their own individual styles on floor. Taking 08 Chinese team as an example, Jiang's is entertaining and cheerful, Deng's cute and fun, Yang's elegant, Cheng's treatrical and powerful. What more can we fans ask for?

Pang Panpan and Fan Ye were beautiful on floor, too. Mrflipz: are you comparing Sac or Johnson's floor with Cheng Fei and Jiang Yuyuan? Chinese floor routines are much more pleasant and artistic to watch, and they know to combine artistry with difficulty. Cheng Fei is the perfect example. Chinese also have great forms. Liukin always crosses her legs and feet on her landings, and she  hugely separates her legs on her dismount.

The chinese are the greatest. They won at the olympics this year because they've trained and prepared like crazy, didn't let the pressure get to them, and they are just plain amazing. the usa girls, well....lets just say they wigged out! mrflipz, the usa girls are the ones that have robotic dance moves. do you see how shawn j. dances? you get the point.

I honeslty dont like chinese dance. Cheng fei's floor is ugly IMO. Its like they just dont have very original and usually their pretty robotic. I happen to like Yang Yilans floor routine this year. But it felt oddly close to Nastia Liukin's? Wtf?

EXACTLY! I remember watching some videos from the 2004(it may have even been the 2000 Olympics), and the commentators said that the chinese were improving their dance, which is hardly plausible. It's hard to improve something that's already incredible!

@czucksk84life Are you talking about this video in particular? Because honestly, I don't see anything great about Li Shanshan's dance here. It isn't the worst I've seen, but she's not great, either. The tumbling is good, though.
