Truth: Bhagavad Gita Chapter 4 sloka 13: (4.13) : Caste is based on Occupation(work) and Aptitude, but not based on Birth.
One's caste is based on his Occupation and Aptitude(Qualities) but not based on his Fathers or Grandfathers occupation or Aptitude. If a Person is working as Engineer, Businessman, Labor or Farmer he cannot claim himself as Leaders or Ksatriya's, Even though his grandfathers were Leaders or Ksatriya because his caste is based on his Occupation and his Aptitude(Qualities)

@Tiwaking Hahaha yeah, I know it looks funny but I didn't mean to imply that! I lived in Utah when I made the video as a project while student teaching so it made sense to start from Utah since it's somewhere my students would know!
so many groups out there INDIAN PEOPLE helping other poorer indian people, charity and stuff. Caste system does exist ina few places but im sure very soon, it'll be alll over
I am from the UK and from a Sikh background. When people ask me what caste I am, I reply I'm Sikh. This caste system is a backwards way of thinking. Instead of uniting the Sikh religion is usually segregates us into groups. I don't care if you’re Jatt, TK or whatever caste, we are all human beings and need to unite instead of this stuck up, backwards, social ladder. Even 'Guru Amar Das Ji' spoke against caste systems to encourage equality between all of us. Maybe we should take his advice.
Jai Shree Krishna. Read Shrimad Bhagwath Gita Chapter 4.13. Lord Krishna says, "I created four castes acording to the 'qualities' and 'activities' of a human being. There is no mention of birth. I was also born from a brahmin family, but I have to accept the truth. Bhagwath gita Chapter 18.41 says, "Qualities, Activities, and Nature."
Why do we still have discrimination in this world? No one is gonna get out alive eitherway! You can look for any partner in any caste on tamilcentral$net. Take out the dollar sign and replae it with a dot...
The Caste System was not a birth-rite. It was actually based on your occupation. The Brahmins had the knowledge, they did not have money. Kshatriyas rule/defend but they must consult the brahmins. The Vaisyas have the money, thus funding the king/brahmins. They allow the king/ruler to maintain the people, With the divine, practical and modern knowledge. The last are the sudras are the workers. They are the ones with food/produce/products. They supply the kingdom. It was not orginally a birthrite
Yes there is similarity between Indias cast system and Italian, Irish, Anglo, Saxon ,french and Greek cultures. As they marry among themselves.Within Hindus different cast has different food habbit and different cultures,
AS brahmins are vegeterians because we are what we eat. Brahmins use to be preature, teacher or guru. Guru has to be calm and quite. So their food was veggi food. When they teach they have to come closer to the students so they did not use to eat ONION and Garlic..
You make no sense. Different food habits is no justification for discrimination. Caste system is a load of bull**** Its the main reason why I turned athiest from being a Hindu. Lets be serious here, the main thing that decided one's caste is the colour of the skin. Varna means colour.
Mr trivedi, is Onion meat of dog and garlic nail of dog? Blody fucker, what I see is, your profession has been striving on fear of unknown. Hell with the Guru concept. you guys are worst hypocrites.

@2craftsman wow. you should have said this is so "untouchable". Thanks for reminding me that we still have a lot of work to do in this country (if you are an American) when it comes to putting groups in categories and putting those groups down.
Dosto, forget that govt will do any active effort to remove this sad thing but we, the people of India need to take positive measures. One solution that I can think of is that we all need to remove last name and just use first name and middle name. No need to use last name. Again don't depend on corrupt govt. Please list your suggestions too. Lets start working towards solution rather then blaming each other.
@JustMeAtYT .. I dont like your comment.. We need caste system .. to demarcate the people .. India is civilised even during christ was born because of the clear segregation ... I am a proud brahmin.. Indian astrology talks of 9 planets during 6th century and even before the telescope was invented.. proof of ramayana is still there in tamilnadu ,sethu and srilanka .. aeroplane was used by ravana even before christ..
This video is good but this system must stop ..

The easiest/efficient way to dilute/destroy caste system is to print/circulate/use your own banknotes exclusively among your caste.

支持印度废除这种落后的制度,就像中国的落后的封建思想一样禁锢了人们的自由和发展,这种制度存在只会制造悲剧,阻碍国家发展
