  • Sounds great Willem. You play the bass at same time with left hand? (can't see on the video). Keep on rocking, l love that sound :)

  • @karst1975 thanks and Yes, the left hand. I don't have the super-duper-wide-angle-amazing-video-tooling, so this is just with a standard digital videocam on a stand next to me... Also, the sound quality isn't that great. You need 'big-speakers' to even hear the base.

  • Wow, I listen to it 5 times in a row!

  • @brakenbergblues Thanks. I saw your vids, you might want to translate this song in German. Could work for you!. Cheers

  • That's great man ! Keep on rocking !

  • @RudyVallaeys Thanks for the compliment!

  • Thanks i made my own up works fine..you mention bass thats my only dislike with the b200 the bass pedel sustain no controle just on or off i would like some ideas how to increase it a bit ive looked inside but no joy i wont tinker to much

  • @chippygordon Schematics are for sale on the internet somewhere (i've bought them, just can't remember the site). The connector of the pedals has a lot of pins that are all linked to a specific note and linked to bass from the lower manual. I don't think you can change things without changing thing for the lower manual as well. However, the lower manual seems to have it's own electronics at least partly from the upper manual. So it might be possible to tinker a bit with adding a pot somewhere...

  • Thanks ..many years ago i used to demonstrate in a music shop near me and in about 1970/71..this hammond b200 came in we were not allowed to touch it grrr very frustrating ..however a couple of years ago i see one advertised in a local news paper for £300 it was imaculate been in a church all its life all original and the leselie is working great just needed some new belts...

  • @chippygordon These belts are still available at specialist shops or websites. Unfortunately my leslie was modified in the past by previous owners (they took the non rotary channel out). This is a pitty since now also the base and the drumsounds go through the rotary channel which isn't good if the base rotor starts spinning fast. I only use short fast-spinning moments as a result.

  • im seeking a Hammond Auto-Vari64,..very hard to get hold of...any ideas let me know thanks ..

    regards

    Ian.

  • @chippygordon I know. It was a chance. In fact at the time I was searching for a stand and foot pedals, since my B200 didn't have any. I found someone selling 2 old, but complete B200's. He also had the Auto-Vari as a bonus. To today's standards, it isn't particularly good, but it does the job. I didn't see any offered since then. You might want to set search alerts in Ebay and also use Google Alerts to be hinted of new ones for sale.

  • excelent stuff matey ..i must put a bit more myself up soon ..time is my enemy :)))

  • @chippygordon Thanks mate. I'll be checking your vids, too!
