  • Hola señores. Tengo 14 años y pido unas disculpas a la musica de mi generacion que es un insulto al oido comparada con esto. Les pido perdon

Hello folks. I'm 14 years old and I apologize for the music of my generation that is an insult to the sense of hearin' being compared to this. I apologize

  • This was his view of a new horizon. We can talk about personal responsibility, but nobody can do it all alone. He should have gotten the true support he needed. But enough of the people weren't ready. Support the arts, the artists, and the overall well-being of our communities. Thanks for this post.

  • que musica tan relajante y buena............

  • such a grat musician, just read he was also victimed by heroin abuse. Such a fine music, what a pitty for all those guys, including lovely Amy Winehouse, having their lives damaged by shit drugs... :-/

  • I prefer the Mungo jerry version LOL

  • @MrArrpee

    Lol... Noice.

  • Simplemente hermoso!!!

  • What a shame, Parker and Coltrane 2 masters of there instruments died so early

  • Both Trane and Bird paved the way .... pioneers... they did it first and we how many years later now, are still enjoying and listening to each and every note.... Can't compare them.. each was a master of their craft in their very own way...

  • Most excellent! So smooooooooooooooooooth.

A glass of wine and your fav person. mmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm.

  • Comment removed

  • Ho my god, time is running out while I listen this music...

  • I still don't understand how people can compare, in terms of who played better, who did the better version, who was the man, etc. The one thing we all know is, they both changed the instrument and music on such a scale (no pun intended); Bird and Trane are piloting the same spaceship in two different time zones and the atmosphere was filled with other commanders and their vehicles. If it wasn't for Louis Armstrong nobody would have left the "house".

  • The sound is perfect; shivery, shimmery, cool strings and that hot, buttery up-front sax. The analog adds just enough warmth, the grit on the recording, something indescribable...

And we haven't even gotten to the playing yet.

  • The best JAZZ ever!!!

  • isso é lindo!

  • Summertimeeeeeeeee and the living's easy.

    Marijuana.

  • Class and understatement are the hallmarks of cool jazz. Charlie Parker was just ahead of his time. What a prophet.

  • \m/!!!

  • @doublebiancu96 jajjajajajaja

  • @doublebiancu96 lo dise el perdedor de megadeth

  • @Nico301067 ...Jimmy Hendrix&Janis Joplin-summertime...!!

  • Why do all youtbe comments no matter how glorious the video end in people abusing each other in the comments. Grow up and be cool humans!

  • fuck I've never really looked into jazz but fuck... I just came on myself this is fucking good!

  • I get goose bumps when the sax starts..love it!

  • i love heavy metal but this makes me understand what is real music.

  • @sexi1708 Same here buddy.

  • Dear John Coltrane, this is how you play Summertime.

  • @yiitbbvd

    You're joking, right?

  • @yiitbbvd That comment right there - just gave you away - not a true jazz fan - Parker dug Coltrane.

  • @CheckMate657879 @lonhillyer I'm sorry for being such a dick guys. I'm just a fuckin' 15 year old and I didn't listen to Coltrane's version fully back then. Now I listened to that, fully, and I learned to appreciate both versions. Sorry if I made some mistakes using English. I'm Turkish. So, in a nutshell I want to say that I'm sorry, for picking one master to another. Sorry because I compared them two like I'm comparing today's mainstream shit.

  • @yiitbbvd be careful what you put in boxes

  • @yiitbbvd And thats how we all know your not a musician and dont really appreciate a real musicians artistry

  • @yiitbbvd John Coltrane can play Summertime however he wants. He has his own voice that needs to be expressed. If you don't like his version, don't listen to it!!!! How does your version sound, I wonder?

  • @TiteTrax u took the words right out of my mouth..............kudos

  • @TiteTrax I don't think he was being serious with that comment, I think it was a bit of a joke out of bad taste

  • @yiitbbvd damit i love coltrane but i love thus tune by parker

  • @yiitbbvd - Dear Mr. Parker, Mr. Davis already owns this song. For future reference, you might want to attempt something less daunting. Best wishes.

  • FUCK YES. YES. YES.

  • Just amazing!

  • yeah fuck the music industry. music is art not business, but for now a business is what the industry is. they just look for ways to make money with the least amount of effort. mainstream music isnt even about music it's all about a pretty face that people will go crazy about and then the bandwagon effect. i wonder if any other people my age listen to charlie parker or any other great musicians like this

  • CHARLIE PARKER GENIUS !!!!!!!!!

  • hermosa tu melodia como tu esplandor

  • and raining...

  • miles davis was one of the 5 best jazz musicians, but i think that the ''jazz in 4 words'' is dizzy, gillespie, charlie parker

  • The clave of be bop is the (e) of beat 1 and the down beat of beat (3). 1E&u 2e&u 3e&u 4e&u. This is where the accents are in most of the bebop that I have heard. Not just the accents but the silence and the entrances during improv and compositions. The scales are all types. but especially diminished scales, dorian mode, pentatonic and altered Dominant Scales.

  • THANK YOU!!! LORD!!! 4-EARS-2-HEAR!!! BIRD IS RIGHTEOUS!!! PEACE&LOVE!!! CMF TRIBE!!!

  • very nice!! the truly jazz from NY!

  • Oh Charlie, where have you been all my life? My ears are officially blessed. :)

  • An unforgettable Charlie Parker Gem of all times!!

  • @GpHeavymetal I accidentally hit send on my computer but as I was saying I don't think there are scales specifically for jazz other then bebop. (correct me if I'm wrong) a lot of jazz was written in major and minor keys.

  • @PeaceSells102 a lot of jazz was just improv, once they made jazz into a scholar like style of music is when you had scales and modes brought into it... other than that a drummer would start then the bass the you build from there listening and playing, no chord progressions or scales just what you felt is what came out

  • @sblopez08 haha no chord progressions... jazz has always been built around chord progressions. same with every single kind of music ever. just analyze some Bach or Beethoven, there are chords and chord progressions throughout them

  • @gpHeavymetal Bebop scales are what these guys used. I'm not really sure if the

  • Im a guitarist, forgive me its just how im wired, Nothing goes to the soul more the the saxophone, espeacially when its played by Charlie Parker.
