@Nik3AllSt4r i never heard about those games but 5770 is a pretty good card so i don't see why not i play crysis on high settings with my 5750 and runs really good.
@MegaTimebomb098 well i think you can use 480 watts because it says on amd website that you can run it with 450 watts but if you're going to add some stuffs on your rig then better if you go with a higher wattage power supply to be safe.i have a 5750 on my other rig and i'm running it with 600 watts psu.
@Nik3AllSt4r I run my 5770 with a 240W power supply, I plan to upgrade so it's easier to overclock and it reaches it's full potential. Short answer; you can use a Radeon 5770 GDDR5 1GB on a 250W power supply.

@KronicMASTERdeBATER then in that case its either 1. Something else in your computer causing the problem 2. You need to download the latest drivers 3. your card is defective.
Its a great card but even my first one was defective and had to be exchanged. My first one displayed green dots on the screen but I have never had any other trouble. I wish I could be of more help...
Western Digital Caviar Green 750gb Intellipower with 64mb cache. for $50
- Or -
Western Digital Caviar Blue 500gb (7200rpm) with 16mb cache for $40
I think intellipower is 5400-7200?
Dont judge based on the memory. Please anwser im trying to cut the price down so i can manage to get the 6850 in still less than $600 at $591 with complete build right now.
Video cards GPU should have the same code name. You have to check it out and than you can make your crossfire system. 5750 has "Juniper PRO" GPU and 5770 has Juniper XT; 6750 and 6770 has the same GPU respectively. And 6450 has a "Caicos" GPU name. So, unfortunately you can't build crossfire system with 6450 and 5770(5750). It's better to buy one 5770 now and one more later, when price will get lower (sorry for my english, I'm Russian). Good luck, bro.
@mast3rmgl no, more of a good combo for gaming at high - medium settings. The 5750 really isn't set for high end gaming, if you want too play all your games at max get a 5850 or 5870.
@mast3rmgl first off, you only need 4Gb of DDR3 ram too run almost all of the new games on max. Second, The PSU is a bit much for a 6790 and a phenom II x 4 xD and third, change that 6790 too a tad more expensive 6850. It is about $200 - £150 so it is really good value considering it can run all the newest games on pretty much max. It can max out crysis and GTA 4.
I'm buying a PC with an HD 5750 and comes with a 300W PSU. Some people say its enough because 5750 tdp is about 120W to 180W. Some people saying get a 450W. Is 300W good enough because I don't want to swap out my PSU... thanks!
@1xSUBZx1 Almost certainly not, think logically here. 300w PSU right? well - 5750 takes up about 150w, so thats half the power gone already. Then you have too count your cpu, which will be around 50-80w judging by your GPU, so thats already sunk down too a measly 170w minimum load. Then add in your motjherboard, Ram, HDD, Cd drive and all the other junk and it will easily top out 300w, meaning your PC will just shut down. Better off getting a 500w brand name PSU like HTTiYAN said.
guys if i buy a better processor card than the one i have wich is a core pentium will it make my graphics run better? cuz i have a ati radeon hd 5750 and it cant run mw2 on full grahphics
@TheMetalHeadGr Very true, and no problem glad i could help! if you have any other questions, feel free to stop by my channel and personal message me. :D
@TheMetalHeadGr Should be no difference in performance at all if they have the exact same clock speeds and video memory, but just to be on the safe side, get the GDDR5 1 GB version of this card, the performance would be beyond a doubt amazing. you will notice right after you get the latest drivers from the site and right after you give your PC a good restart, you will notice the difference almost instantly.
@TheMetalHeadGr sorry but there is not a such thing as a DDR5, yet. What they should have said was GDDR5, and the DDR3 one should work on any board that has an available PCIE slot and the right power supply. but dude if DDR5 existed thats like fucking crazy super duper fast! could be faster then the quad CPU. LOOOL and the difference between the cards is not quality, its performance. What ever one that has a faster let me say clock speed or thats has at least 1 GB memory is the faster one! :D
@TheMetalHeadGr No problem, and i am positive if you have that card and at least 4 GB and a really fast CPU you will play that game with no problems. :D
i would be amazed from the performance, thats a huge step up from what you have now, but i have a 5670 and i am getting the 6850 so i know i will be set for battlefield 3. if you are on a budget get the 5850 pr 6850, i saw the 6850 on ebay for like 170 and free shipping.. you can get a 5770 for like 170 no a days and for the same price you could get a nvidia gtx 470 or a 6850, i am still getting 6850 because thats just me. :)
hey people, ive just got a sapphire radeon hd 5770 and i am unable to overclock it any further...is it possible that my 350 watt dell psu is holding me back from fully overclocking the gpu?
becoz i was goin to buy a tai radeon hd 5770 but becoz of itz low stock in the market itz not possible now.....ati radeon hd 5750 is only 2 dollors cheaper than it will it be slightly low performer or there will be a big differnce!??????????????
@xtremegamerzz96 you could always just go to the site of the store that sells graphics cards and look for the one you want, then take a pic of the gpu that u want because usually there are still some old gpus left on their site, then take that picture and bring it into the store and show it to the employee..they should be able to order one for you..thats what i did..showed the pic of the gpu then went back to the store the next day and picked up the gpu :D
I have XFX ATI HD 5770 1gb what would happen if I added two 3x5770 with 1200 power supply AMD 4x should be a best of a computer huh please reply with ur thoughts
@omac256 Hint: 2x5770 price is good enough to buy high end cards like hd6800 series or better hd6950! and u can still crossfire it to your 1x5770! no problem with your PSU, so go for it!
Even the 5750 is a great little card, cheap, and runs all my games one high/very high while always above 45fps. No their not the best by far, but when your looking to buy a cheap, well performing computer, getting these and one of amd's 4core cpus for 100bucks you cant go wrong
My Alienware has 2 5770s in Crossfire mode. The thing's a flipping beast graphically.
I'm looking at upgrading my internal memory. What are some good memory modules to look at? I've heard that Corsair has some wicked new 4GB DDR3 modules out, but I want something to compare them to.
both the hd 5750 and 5770 have a bigger performance gain over the 9600gt. Also check newegg RIGHT NOW because the 5770 is $75 after rebate and the price u have to pay is $105
@IsaznCrawr well i bought it already like a couple days ago it was listed as PCIE so i asked about it im not that good with graphics cards i just wanna be able to play a game with decent graphics
Well if u want to return it you can since its only been a couple of days then buy the 5770 if your willing to use $104.25 with a $30 rebate making its $75. If your thinking about doing this heres a promocode you can use to get $10 : NEWCUSTOMER10 The hd 5770 can play all games with with graphics to high at decent fps.
@rhapdaddy AMD has some cheaper cards out-the 5570 is much cheaper than the 5770. The 5570 alone can sit on The Sims 3, Buying two and putting them in CrossFire mode only costs about $120 ($60 a card), which is way cheaper than buying one 6990, which is (grab a seat) $700, and two 5570s in CrossFire mode is enough to even crush GTA IV, which is incredibly high-end.
hey dude. i need your help about lagging on gaming pc. I got Motherboard Gigabyte GA-770T-D3L Amd Phenom x2 555 BE (stock cooler) Sapphire HD5750 Vapor~X WD HDD 500 GB sata 3 4 GB corsair value DDR3 1333MHZ Samsung DVD RW+ 2 LED cooling fan Gigabyte Superb 550watt im playing cod black ops and got some lags. Did i need to change a new psu or quad core processor? Give me your opinion. Thanks :)
@Landak36 Your psu is great, and cpu is good, maybe try to close out of background programs like internet browser, virtual disk mounting programs, skype etc. if that is still not getting the fps you want maybe lower a few settings like shadows or aa/af which are known to lower fps. btw if you wanted to get a quad core you could try and unlock your phenom x2, look it up on google or here on youtube :D
@Landak36 well that just proves it, too run black ops, an average looking game you need a phenom II x 4 and a 5750. Really shitty coding on there part xD
Hey if you could please help, ive never done pc gaming but im looking to get into it, and im trying to find a good computer that can handle call of duty, battlefield and those sorts of games, is this a good build for that?
CAN SOMEONE ANSWER THIS. IM STRUGGLING BEWTWEEN 5770 AND 5850. BECAUSE I LOOKED AT ALL THE SPECS OF THE 2 CARDS AND THEY ARE BOTH SAPPHIRE BUT THE 5770 HAS BETTER CORE CLOCK SPEED AND STREAMING UNITS THAN THE 5850. BUT IN EVERY VIDEO IT SAYS ITS BETTER AND HAS MORE FPS THAN 5770. BECAUSE I HEARD THAT THE HIGHER THE MODEL NAME THE BETTER. BUT THE SPECS ON THE LOWER MODEL CARD ARE BETTER. IM SO CONFUSED?
hey Eric. Building my first gaming pc mainly for racing sims like rFactor or gtr2 and was wondering if i could run a 5770 on a 50in plasma TV. Processor is a e8400 ram 4gb balistix tracer and a corsair 750tx watt power supplie? Please give me feed back if this is a good setup and if ths video card can send good video to my 50in plasma TV
I'm ordering my 5770 next week :D I was hoping for a bit more from this review though, you basically just read out the specs and gave a one sentence opinion at the end :/
Do any of you think this would run World of Warcraft or Rift good? SUS Essentio CG1330-05 Phenom II X6 1035T(2.6GHz) 8GB DDR3 1TB HDD Capacity ATI Radeon HD 5750 Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit
My pc can run a maximum of 250 watts, and i forgot this card needs 450+. I put it in, turned pc on to downlowad drivers and well that didn't turn out too well. Currently ordering a 600 watt power supply. Note to everyone, check if your pc has the correct watt supply.
HD 5770 is a great card... great game performance great overclock capability's and a AWESOME price!!!!!!
(got it running with this clocks: 920mhz on the core clock and 1299mhz on the mem... using the msi afterburner and it runs perfectly stable in any game..)
Ok, I am frustrated and looking for someones help please respond.
I have the 5770 and I can't play Starcraft 2 on anythign but low, Magicka (AN INDIE GAME) or many other games with over 30 fps any reasons why this is happening because everyone else is saying 5770 is great and can run SC2 on ultra with 60 fps and I'm on low with 30 and Magicka is running like 4 fps which is unplayable.
Hi, I'm thinking of switching over to use ATI cards instead of Nvidia. I'm currently looking for a dual card setup, and I'm wondering whether cards in the high-end 5000 series would be a better and cheaper option than installing dual Geforce GTX 460's or around that calibre? Also how powerful of a power supply would i need to support these ATI cards?
@SxeScotty The frequency at which flicker becomes invisible is called the flicker fusion threshold, and is dependent on the level of illumination.
So in conclusion"most" people don't detect flicker on movies or television above that are recorded above 24 frames per second; but the fact is that the human eye and brain don't function similar to a movie or video camera and motion is not recorded in frames per second.
@SxeScotty umm, not really, the human brain interprets about 30 fps, and when you are in an aroused state (not sexually), your brain "overclocks" to about 60. why do you think the common games run at 30 or 60 fps
@Bojoe777NaBl because you trick your mind into thinking there's a difference. you can tell the difference between 30 and 60 yeah, give or take some frames, so any more than that is overkill. its not stupid, its science
@BurntWaflles no.. I have really good eyes and the difference is very clear.. In l4d2 you get anywhere from 0-300 frames per second and the game obviously runs a lot smoother @ 300 fps so I have no idea what the fuck you are goin on about.....................
@Bojoe777NaBl yeah it runs smoother at 300 fps but save your system some trouble and cap it at 120. trust me dude. look it up. i dont go to college for no reason. it doesnt matter how good your eyes are, its what your brain interprets
@BurntWaflles because idiots like you are talking about shit they are just half-assin around with.. include some kind of reference or at least tell me what indoctrination center you said you are going to.. because to me you sound like a complete fool..
@BurntWaflles and I dont even think our eyes see frames per second they just see light continuously reflecting off of objects and whatnot... where the hell did you hear the brain can only interpret 30-60 fps?? Because thats just total bullshit too

And I have 2 5770s. They are awesome! Next up is the 6970 with high clocks.
BenTheEpic 7 months ago
so if these were put in crossfire mode how well would they perform compared to radeon 6850?
9winters5 7 months ago
Even the 5750 is a great little card, cheap, and runs all my games one high/very high while always above 45fps. No their not the best by far, but when your looking to buy a cheap, well performing computer, getting these and one of amd's 4core cpus for 100bucks you cant go wrong
LuLzezRoflcopter 8 months ago
My Alienware has 2 5770s in Crossfire mode. The thing's a flipping beast graphically.
I'm looking at upgrading my internal memory. What are some good memory modules to look at? I've heard that Corsair has some wicked new 4GB DDR3 modules out, but I want something to compare them to.

Looking forward to getting a gtx580
The 5770 is getting pretty old now and most my games now run in medium to high with avg framerate.

Is this card a PCI-E or PCI-E 2.0? because its listed as PCI-E on Amazon.
rhapdaddy 8 months ago
@rhapdaddy
Its PCI-E x16/2.0/2.1
IsaznCrawr 8 months ago
@IsaznCrawr I have a PCI-E x16 so how much will this cards performance decrease
rhapdaddy 8 months ago
@rhapdaddy
not much. u wont notice a big difference between x16 to a 2.0 slot
IsaznCrawr 8 months ago
@IsaznCrawr alright thanks man do you know if this card is a lot better than a pny geforce 9600 gt?
rhapdaddy 8 months ago
@rhapdaddy
both the hd 5750 and 5770 have a bigger performance gain over the 9600gt. Also check newegg RIGHT NOW because the 5770 is $75 after rebate and the price u have to pay is $105
IsaznCrawr 8 months ago
@IsaznCrawr well i bought it already like a couple days ago it was listed as PCIE so i asked about it im not that good with graphics cards i just wanna be able to play a game with decent graphics
rhapdaddy 8 months ago
@rhapdaddy
IsaznCrawr 8 months ago
@rhapdaddy AMD has some cheaper cards out-the 5570 is much cheaper than the 5770. The 5570 alone can sit on The Sims 3, Buying two and putting them in CrossFire mode only costs about $120 ($60 a card), which is way cheaper than buying one 6990, which is (grab a seat) $700, and two 5570s in CrossFire mode is enough to even crush GTA IV, which is incredibly high-end.

In the middle of playing games eg. (borderlands) my framerates randomly drop for 3 seconds and causes extreme lag and frustration.
People say its the Power saving feature of the 5770 HD.

Will the HDMI port on the back of the Radeon HD 5770 allow you to use an HD TV for a monitor or what can the HDMI port on the back be used for?

HD 5770 is a great card... great game performance great overclock capability's and a AWESOME price!!!!!!
(got it running with this clocks: 920mhz on the core clock and 1299mhz on the mem... using the msi afterburner and it runs perfectly stable in any game..)
basbas63 11 months ago
Ok, I am frustrated and looking for someones help please respond.
I have the 5770 and I can't play Starcraft 2 on anythign but low, Magicka (AN INDIE GAME) or many other games with over 30 fps any reasons why this is happening because everyone else is saying 5770 is great and can run SC2 on ultra with 60 fps and I'm on low with 30 and Magicka is running like 4 fps which is unplayable.
If there are any quick fixes please pm me.

@SxeScotty Wait WHAT? FOOL!
ferosuchiki 11 months ago
@ferosuchiki its a fact... deal
SxeScotty 11 months ago
@SxeScotty The frequency at which flicker becomes invisible is called the flicker fusion threshold, and is dependent on the level of illumination.
So in conclusion"most" people don't detect flicker on movies or television above that are recorded above 24 frames per second; but the fact is that the human eye and brain don't function similar to a movie or video camera and motion is not recorded in frames per second.
ferosuchiki 11 months ago
@SxeScotty true but after a few pints my frame rate drops
MatchedANDY 11 months ago 46
@MatchedANDY xD this made me laugh
basbas63 11 months ago
@SxeScotty umm, not really, the human brain interprets about 30 fps, and when you are in an aroused state (not sexually), your brain "overclocks" to about 60. why do you think the common games run at 30 or 60 fps
BurntWaflles 10 months ago
@BurntWaflles thats just stupid.. i can easily tell if i am getting 30 60 or 120 even 200+ fps...
Bojoe777NaBl 10 months ago
@Bojoe777NaBl because you trick your mind into thinking there's a difference. you can tell the difference between 30 and 60 yeah, give or take some frames, so any more than that is overkill. its not stupid, its science
BurntWaflles 10 months ago
@BurntWaflles
I agree :|
1337RussianCoDPlay3r 10 months ago
@BurntWaflles no.. I have really good eyes and the difference is very clear.. In l4d2 you get anywhere from 0-300 frames per second and the game obviously runs a lot smoother @ 300 fps so I have no idea what the fuck you are goin on about.....................
Bojoe777NaBl 10 months ago
@Bojoe777NaBl yeah it runs smoother at 300 fps but save your system some trouble and cap it at 120. trust me dude. look it up. i dont go to college for no reason. it doesnt matter how good your eyes are, its what your brain interprets
BurntWaflles 10 months ago
@BurntWaflles really hope you didnt learn that stuff you were talking about below from "college"
Bojoe777NaBl 10 months ago
@Bojoe777NaBl i wonder why it's so hard for people to believe the science of the eye.

Bojoe777NaBl 10 months ago
@BurntWaflles and I dont even think our eyes see frames per second they just see light continuously reflecting off of objects and whatnot... where the hell did you hear the brain can only interpret 30-60 fps?? Because thats just total bullshit too
Bojoe777NaBl 10 months ago
