I was enjoying my summer holiday and for some reason I was watching 'homes under the hammer' which was interrupted for the news coverage - I will never forget it!
@emma41093 Yes 2005 was a strange year for the schools, indeed, if memory serves the London schools were still open, had the holidays gone into full swing I think the injuries would have been a lot higher.
@Bluesbreaker2010 You're quite right, english schools were still in session but up in rainy Scotland we were on holiday - mind you if I remember correctly it was a reasonable day up here.
In the morning I was at school and it was a rough school so we normally had the radio blasting stuff out whilst doing our work. that day was a double geography morning for me and at 10 the teacher said we weren't to do any more work as we couldn't focus. this day was so surreal for all of us, even in Leicester. as a young teen me and my peers kept trying to figure out what was going on. It was only when we got home, we started to understand. RIP. you will not be forgotten.
Theres peter powers terror drill on same day, same times same stations, 4 lads with promising lives taking a non existent train, virtually no cctv, bus cctv 'wasnt working', paper IDs 'found unscathed' (just like 9/11 and madrid) no investigation, reports of 3 asian guys being shot dead by police at canary wharf, explosions under trains, only richard jones and danny biddle recall seeing anyone, after great pressure from MI5, military explosives changed to TATP, ridiculous, another inside job!!

@emma41093 It was pretty dark and dismal all over the country which made an already severely hurt mood feel even more depressive.
