i can frontside flip (i have a video) but i do them like a hardflip body varial if you know what i mean (illusion flip or whatever) but its really difficult to do them down gaps and stairs, i want to be able to do them like this with the catch at 90 degrees, but im having trouble keeping the board under me when i try to do it like that, any tips would be appreciated.

Key thing when doing fs flips that i Think i just noticed. When you're 90 degress in the air don't point you body to the flick. If you watch at 1:08 you can see how his knee bends outside kinda and flicks sideways rather than pointing your body to the flick. Weird to explain but if you watch how he flicks and how he continues looking forwards you'll get what i mean. Hopefully when I go skating today i'll learn em after watching this.

I struggled with fs flips for about 2 years so I guess it depends on how you're feeling it. But then again I learned switch hardflips before regular so I wouldn't take my advice. I don't even know why i'm still typing...

i think people usually learn frontside flips before hardflips. same with learning backside 180 heels before inward heelflips. i guess you could try visa versa though. id be suprised.
