Good god, everyone is dead in this video. Gorilla Monsoon, Randy Savage, Owen Hart, maybe even the ref if its Joey Marella i didnt make it that far cause of Art Donovan
I love how Gorilla Monsoon and Randy Savage totally ignore Art Donovan. I think this is the only match where he doesn't say "how much does this fella weigh?"
Me acuerda mi niñez , aca en Colombia esto fue un exito , 123 , owen hart , razor ramon, doink, kane , lex luger , undertaker...........wow que recuerdos.
I don't know who Art Donovan is, but I'll never forget his contributions to this broadcast. "How much does this fella weigh?" "What kind of a hold wuzzat?"
I agree Savage's commentary on this match is hilariously epic. "Give Owen a little credit. Not a little bit of credit, a lot a little bit of credit." RIP Owen and Macho Man
@TheBC313 he sure did try though, who gives a fuck how much the wrestlers weigh unless its important to the character like yokozuna? he was just awful...
the only thing better than this match is savage's commentary. "if you're just tuning in..." - yeah, you know how lots of people just flip through the channels randomly when they spend money on a PPV.
They didn't get enough time to make this truly great unfortunately. Because this is one of the most incredible wrestling skills clinics I have ever seen.
It's a shame that the way Owen Hart died has completely erased his legacy and history as a performer. He was awesome and I wish people would focus less on his death 12 years later and remember how underrated and talented the guy was. It's not his fault he died.
All i ever ask for in matches, is that the wrestlers do moves, and by did they do it in this one. NO throwing 15 punches in a row, or sleeper holds that last 15 minutes!
3:52 .....GIVE da rocket owen hart a little bit of credit........not a little bit of credit, a LOT of little bitta cridit.....lol...u gotta love macho man
The event was in Baltimore and Art Donovan played football for the Baltimore Colts (there were no Baltimore Ravens in 1994) his connection with Balimore is why he is a guest, granted he's no Edgar Allan Poe on the mic..
Did you notice when 1-2-3 Kid pinned Owen, Owen's foot was not on the rope before the 3-count. Oh well, it's good to see a kliq member get screwed.
Macho Man: "Give him a little bit of credit !!! Not a little bit of credit, ALOT of a little bit of credit !!!" LOL !!! Gotta love the Macho Man ! OOOOOH YEEEEEAHH !!!
Err.... so i'm the only one who noticed 123-Pac (aka the X-tacy Kid) looked high as hell as he walked to the ring for this match. Might explain that epic boot from Owen at 2:10. Da Harts didn't play dat shyt. You came 100% to the ring, or u don't come at all.
That said, however it reminds me how good of a worker Pac was. I remember being a fan of 123, and hating when he went heel. He was a great wrestler, and could've been a great champ if pushed properly. Heh, guess he was Kofe before Kofe huh
wow...art donovan on commentary!!! LOL, can you beleive vince put him in there? can you seriuosly,,,,,honestly imagine art donovan commentating on wwe t.v in 2011??????????LOL what were they thinking?
Other than RVD, X-Pacs kicks were the best i've ever seen. Martial arts expert. Spinning heel kick, round house kick, jumping yuzuka kick.(later on in career) he was my favorite WWF star before he went, even with all of his heat. But he was always in stables, never really on his own like this except for early 2001
I like that a powerbomb, a northern lights suplex and a german suplex all go uncalled. Ha ha, everything is a moonsault. Who was the retard on commentary, no, not talking about Monsoon or Savage. A tap out in 1994?
@josephjamescomedy WWf are notorius for that, I liked Tony in WCW, he knew the moves just as well as he did the wrestlers. When it wasnt a cruiserweight match, they didnt have to call moves like that, they just had to say " theres a leg drop, theres a elbow, knee to the gut", lol
this is owens best year, he really had it all, talent, look, charisma. also am i the only one who thought his career gets sidetracked when he cuts his hair?, don't know just seems that way.
I actually think Owen was more talented in the ring than Bret, slightly better charisma/mic skills too, the fact that he was never WWF champion is criminal.
@Freddyphelp back then he was one of my favorites. The only thing you can fault him for was he was terrible in an interview. I know he was kept under wraps for awhile. Back in the late '80s when he was the blue blazer he was squashed by alot of wrestlers and he still made them look good. I dont know who he was always kept down...possibly Hogan had something to do with it?
@VisionofOrion Yeah I remember his jobber years, I felt he improved a bit in interviews over the years, granted he was no Rock/Jake Roberts but I really enjoyed his feud with Bret, I thought those promo's felt felt real and intense but maybe its just nostalgia talking.
@Freddyphelp It should be criminal that Owen is dead. Unfortunately, it's not. Not one person was put in jail for that. They got away with a man's death as if it was an after thought. THAT'S CRIMINAL!!!!
I know I see alot praise for Owen in this match, but I gotta give props to the 1-2-3 Kid, did a good job fighting on after he was brutually attacked by Jeff Jarrett. This 4 minute match has more action than most 20-30 minute main event ppv matches, which is just sad.
