oh my goodness.. I cant stop crying... I looked up the movie because my name is Savannah.. I wasent expecting to cry at the end!!!! such a good movie though!
u r a very kind person to put this nice movie online. i will subscribe to u rate and fave u. no dislikes. i cried to this movie. its such a sweet movie.
Wow I havnt seen this movie since I was a little kid in the 80s but I watched it so many times back then I could still guess what happens in a lot of scenes before they happened. The ending was always so sad, first Savannah having to say goodbye and then them being taken to jail.
@heyathere1000 I remember when I was like 8 years-old we were on vacation and my parents stopped by these crazy ass old peoples house. They new em' from like way back when. Well anyhow these this old bag came in and insisted that we watch this movie, so for a wole hour and a half me and my sister were subjected to this shitty movie! God I hated it
@Lavern4101 Noway man! I was like 8 or at least I was going through that stage where I thought GIJOES were awesome and Stone Cold Steve Austin was going to "open up a can of whoop ass on everyone!" Even watching it now makes me want to pull my hair out
@Lavern4101 I was digging through old movies and came across a movie called "On our own" It came in one of those family packs that parents can order, ya know like it have "Where the Red Fern Grows" , "The Butter Cream Gang" and stuff like that. I was remembering how horrible "Own our own" was and then remembered that terrible time when I was 8 years old. I got curious and searched youtube and happened to land here! It was fun and almost nastalgic watching the clip.
@Joseph4675 lol Yeah I personally love really bad 70s/80s movies for two reasons: 1.They are great to laugh at and make fun of and I'm not even talking about the comedies. 2. I grew up in the 80s/90s. It was a wonderful time to be a kid back then so I watch for nostalgia. It's funny, many 80s movies I really thought were so cool as a kid, I watch them now and I wonder how in the fuck I ever thought something like that was cool.
@Lavern4101 That's exactly how I am. To be honest I'm sure I liked the movie as a kid but I was watching this clip earlier and slipped into denial. Haha I think I was just bothered at how crazy this lady was about this movie, I can remember like it was yesterday as my mom and her were cooking dinner. Us kids were looking for something to do and she was "OH MY HAVE YOU GUYS EVER SEEN SAVANNAH SMILES" lol. She was a sweet lady though haha and cooked a hell of a roast :D!
It was at 6:45 as Savannah was driving off with her mother, just seeing her wave goodbye to Alvie and Bootsie with that beautiful smile of her's and the smile it put on their faces made me cry!
Actually the 'real' ending is that the actors made a hit movie that we all loved and collected their big paychecks......the only bad ending is that Bridgette died at 21 yrs old......and hopefully she is in heaven so everything is not too bad.....take care,
I remember watching this as a little girl. I also was hoping they were going to get off the hook as well. Little Savanah got the attention she longed for. Children are so innocent, they just want to be loved and held.
Aww it was a lovely movie but I was dissapointed about the ending. I was hoping that somehow they wouldn't go to jail or get arrested. I thought the parents would get them off the hook. I cried when Savannah said goodbye to Alvie and Boots. They were superb substitute fathers for Savannah, better than her own father. REALLY great movie.

this is a wonderful movie. I cried at the end to bad the parents didn't let them off the hook after seeing how much they did care for the daughter.

She's way more excited to see Bootsie then her own dad who she hasn't seen in even longer. I don't blame her.
