It's definitely slashy, but nothing beats freaking shore leave and amok time. And if we get the movies into this. I don't care who you are, what you want to believe, whatever, the elevator "I could use a shower" bit in the fifth movie was just too much. Like actually, I had to pause the movie and just try not to pass out from the sheer, shameless wave of slashy goodness.

besides the obvious slashness of it, it actually makes sense since janice kept beating up kirk, cause in a prior scene janice attacked kirk and mccoy and spock freaked out just cause he hit a woman randomly. plus the palm on palm thing is pretty much a vulcan hug so it makes sense ( plus again vulcans seem to have an uber possessive protective streak going) . the great question is why did kirk keep holding his hand, bwahha

The first time I watched this, I hadn't seen the actual episode yet, and while I am a huge K/S shipper, I thought ImaginarySanity totally made this all up. It just looked waaaay too good to be true; I mean really, come on. Especially since Vulcans kiss with their hands. Then I went and watched it, and now I'm sitting here absolutely stunned. Watch Shore Leave. There is a scene when Kirk and Spock are running from imaginary beings. At one point Spock grabs Kirk, but we see that Kirk actually runs off leaving Spock to fend for himself. I think it's one-sided. ;-)

It's more than Spock just grabbing Kirk. If you look at the scene where they're running from the tiger, Kirk actually has his arm around Spock and they're grabbing each others' hands. Then they both run over to a wall and kind of kknock into each other; it's a cute scene.

"The Turnabout Intruder" is an odd and flawed episode, but I always thought there was a lot of interesting material there. While it seems horribly sexist, at the same time it makes the case that gender doesn't matter! If Kirk in a woman's body could be captain, than Starfleet should let all women be captains. Which of course later they did.

Yes, I noticed this unusual behaviour for Spock! I wondered about this scene, (it's similar when he naturally takes Jim's hand in "Tomorrow is yesterday ") and I've always thought "This is Spock's secret dream, Jim Kirk in a female body!": at 0:52 his glance is very very very strange! ^_^
