I am almost 45 and this is the first time i know a sequence about puzzles, thank you very much for your kindly explanation (daughter and wife grateful too)
@SalvaJor11 As the video says, you just get 50 rupees each time (or whatever value I say, I forget haha) and then a lot more on completing the last one (I think I said 250). So it's only lots and lots of rupees, no heart pieces or treasure charts.
@stevenleoncooper Yeah, I can't believe when I did the live commentary I forgot to mention that in the beginning since that was the most important thing. And yeah, I agree, this isn't the best rupee grinding place by far.
@NintenBeau I haven't finished the game (I know, hilarious because it's almost a decade old game) but so far I think the best place to "grind" is the grotto on Dragon Roost Island after you defeat all the monsters. The 4 pots around the chest contain 40 rupees, all you have to do is enter/exit the door and get 40 rupees. Should be able to get 5000 in under 25 minutes.
@AnnaBananaHarbo By doing them all. Once you do all 16 it repeats the cycle again. If you saved after you completed a puzzle then you're stuck with the following one, sorry.
@SadPringles As the video says, when you light up the last light (do the last puzzle) you get more rupees than normal and that's it. These puzzles are just for rupees, to get the Triforce Chart you Grapple Hook the ceiling thing and proceed.
@SadPringles No problem, this isn't the best way to make Rupees, but it's a neat way if you can't think of much or just like puzzles. It helps at Christmas time too as these puzzles often come in crackers haha.
@bigpeachify Haha yup, unfortunately I couldn't get the volume on my narration up too much but I did say they came out of his bum if you listen very closely haha.
@SalvationStudios1 Time is a great damager to one's memory. But now you have this guide to either re-teach you or to stir up old memories of how to do it :)
@NintenBeau Yeah, I figured it out after asking the fish man :P Sorry for blowing up a bit there. This was a really good guide too. I was going about it all the wrong way; I finished the top row first and couldn't figure out how to make the rest work. Cheers :)
@Shika511 Don't worry that wasn't really blowing up to me, I think I knew it wasn't a Tri-Force Chart (probably from the fish as you said) but I did always think it gave a Heart Piece (before I realised there were 15 other puzzles haha) so I was incredibly disappointed too since I had wasted (not loads but some) time playing about it years ago before I knew how to do it. And thank you for the nice comments :)
what did you do when you "fudged" it around? I do other puzzles like the guy that runs the cannon game, and when i get to the top i always get stuck and keep getting pieces in the wrong spots
@jtpruzz As the guide says, you have to focus on one piece at a time (you might need to experiment to learn how to move just one piece around), put in the bottom left piececorrectly, the the one to the right of that. And then you do that whole put the next piece along in the corner, put the corner piece above the corner space, create a space and move. Focus on being able to move one piece at a time and rewatch this video, you're kind of asking me what this video shows you.
@jtpruzz i meant when you were at the top left corner and said "hold on let me fudge around a bit" and i got to that part on a different puzzle, and the pieces just won't fit right no matter which way i put them, i got the top left in and worked my way across and got stuck
@jtpruzz Ahh right, well using the rule I said, "Don't move a piece once it's in the right place" you just move bits around and test different things. If you have a 2 x 3 box, move them around in a 'circle' and when you have a gap in one of the 2 middle squares move the other middle square into the empy space then keep moving the squares around in the 'circle'. Just play around with the squares you're allowed to move and try different things, it varies on the situation.
@jtpruzz Sorry, I was aware when doing it that I didn't really explain but I hoped people would be able to figure it out. Glad my not so good explanation sort of helped.
Your strategy helped me massively, and I can't thank you enough. I'm going for 100% completion, and this stuff counts. You've made it so that I'm headed for the Nintendo Gallery that much sooner! Whee...
@ConstantCabbage I'm really glad I was able to help you. Happy to hear about your ambitious yet awesome run through and wish you the best of luck through it.
honestly this was making my brain hurt for weeks and then once i found out it gave rupees only i got depressed. i was trying so hard on this cuz i thought there would be a heart piece out of it:(
@Kurogetsu1 Yeah, often people think this puzzle is what they have to do to get the Triforce Chart or a Piece of Heart. It's very anti-climactic. There's a Heart Chart, which is very helpful in recognising where Heart Pieces are. Don't ask me where it is though I cannot remember, look it up online, ZeldaUniverse is a great site.
@Neves416 Do you mean the picture is? Recall I said there are 16 different puzzles, so there are 16 different pictures for you to unscramble, the ones I show are the first 2. If you mean anything else let me know and I'll try to answer any other questions.
@Neves416 Oh you mean it was jumbled up in a different way to begin with? Right, well that shouldn't matter since this teaches you how to solve regardless of how it is jumbled. And no, like the video says (twice in fact), there is no chart by solving these, just rupees! In the Cabana loook up and use the Grappling Hook on the thing on the ceiling and you'll see what to do from there.
@regalado35 No problem at all, glad I was able to help. Before I knew how to do it, I would spend minutes on it then give up knowing I could spend hours on it haha!
i like this vid i always thought id never need to know how to do this sort of puzzle (they tried to teach me in school for some reason) but the point is i didnt pay attention so i thank you this was driving me crazy and i thought your video was just fine maybe speak a little louder and more clearly and that would be great
@3thundermonkey I had loads of issues editting this video so that was the loudest I could get the sound. I think I spoke clearly enough, I think that was just volume issues as well. Glad you enjoyed this and found it beneficial.
@silverskymoon1 Thank you so much. I kind of like my accent too, I sound a bit posh I think but not really, really posh. I just try and speak the best English I can whilst still sounding conversational. Thanks again, you are awesome!
@lunarboy777 Yeah it works for all the puzzles in Wind Waker (as they're all the same size, it's just in later puzzles it becomes harder to identify which pieces go in which places, as long as you know that though, the algorithm still works) and should work on all slider puzzles in general. I've done a 9 x 9 sized puzzle (80 pieces) using this technique! It took ages but it works!
@snipernosniping12 Thank you so much, you're so awesome and kind. I hadn't really seen videos on this and even so I think the videos were just people doing the puzzle. I really wanted people to understand how to solve ANY puzzle so that they can do all these for themselves... and not get frustrated with Christmas cracker slider puzzles haha!
@CobaltShyGuy Thank you so much, you are awesome! I was really nervous and sometimes people just seem to instantly dislike me, which is why I worry about how I come across, if I'm boring etc. I'll keep this in mind when I next do something that would be better with some narration. Thanks again! Thumbs up (and friend requested).
@gnryeah This is just the one guide. After seeing this and remembering it, people should be able to do the other 14. Plus the videos I found on this were people doing all 16 but not a general guide on how to do them, so that was my niche in the market. The one I submitted to NinBuzz wasn't good and badly editted, they won't use it I know they won't. If they do, I'll tell them about this, remove this from my channel and get them to upload this version. So this is just for me and my channel.
