Well from the way I see it. There no blame really except the fact that Optimus didn't want to go back for Elita one. Which was kinda f-ed up, if Elita one was suppose to be his girl then he should have risked his life to go back for her.

Out of the three tho', Optimus was the only one who wllingly owned up to his faults for the incidient. Sentinel and Elita buried themselves in hatred at Optimus (and Sentinel in Elita's case).

Whew! Sorry, I just felt compelled to write that all out. I really loved how complicated the relationship between these three was.

Optimus was noble enough to accept what blame he could after returning to Cybertron, even taking Sentinel's portion of blame. And Sentinel abdicated himself of any responsibility for what happened, blaming everything entirely on Optimus. But i think this was Sentinel's way of coping with the tragedy as well. He couldn't bear to think that it was his fault, so he hid in denial and made himself believe that Optimus was the one at fault. It was an easier target for his anger.

To a degree, they all hold some responsibility for the tragic events. Sentinel for bringing them all there, Elita for agreeing to go with him, and Optimus for not being firmer in stopping them all from going in the first place.

But what is most unfair is the different degrees of punishment they each suffered after the event. Elita was the one that paid the most with her mutation and stellar cycles after of bitterness and desperation for a cure.

I found myself torn in various directions with my sympathy for Optimus, Sentinel and Elita here. Sentinel wanted to save Elita, even if it meant sacrificing them all. Optimus had to make the difficult decision to rescue Sentinel and leave Elita behind. Elita, unfortunately, was the victim of all their failures and mistakes.

Hmm... did Elita-1 have an alt mode back in G1? Probably she would have been that.

Still, the way she is seen here, it's pretty vague as to what her alt mode is.

G1 Elita One had a vehicle mode, but its only appearance in the cartoon was partly obscured by Optimus Prime's big fat truck cab. It looks like it may be somewhat similar to Blurr and Arcee's vehicle modes.

TFA Elita-1 is based on the robot mode of Ariel, the earlier form of Elita One as seen in "War Dawn". Ariel's alt mode is not seen, just as TFA Elita-1's is (so far) unseen.

I was originally a little . . . leery about the addition of a BW character in TFA, but this episode pretty much allayed any fears I had AND raised my opinion of the show from "good" "flippin' amazing."

I love the chemistry between the three of them, and Elita uses her mimicry abilities really well, both before and after she became Blackarachnia.

It's because her real head is so grotesque (they show it in the Waspinator episode of season 3...you be the judge) that she decided to cover it up. Lucky for her (well, as lucky as you could be after being techno-organically mutated) that there was a conveniently placed helmet nearby.

I'm thrilled that my favourite Autobot is back, though I'm still a WAY bigger fan of G1 Elita.

I loved her colour, her voice, her manner of speaking, and how she carried herself.

Best darned cartoon character ever to grace the small screen.

Why she wasn't in more G1 episodes and the animated film is beyond me. ("One" -- does the name say it all?)

I think I could warm up to this yellow Elita though. Dang, I hope she ditches the Blackarachnia gig soon!

Elita is just as to blame as the other two, she went willingly with Sentinel and thus sealed her own fate. Though I hope she comes back as Elita (not BA) because when younger I hoped for more of her in the 80s series. The 80s Elita headpiece and manish voice was not so cool and I like the job done on this Elita LOL =D
