  • lolth eternal !!!

  • Darkelves have nothing to do with drows. Dows came before darkelves, a darkelves is a half-drow. And drows hate darkelves

  • Smaugfrost interesting video. I challenge you to a debate about God on thunderfOOts why people laugh at creationists part 1 and taa's God sucks. And check my faves list if you dare coward.

  • The drow will die and humans will prevail.

All hail Cyric killer of Lolth!

  • goths...

  • actually drow are lesser beings of elf and are a bit short in height too. and the beings of the surface drove them to the underdark

  • how do you mean "lesser beings of elf"?

  • "lesser"???????????????????? i cannot comprehend how you got that. drow are far superior fighters and spellcasters to any other race.

ALSO Drizzt dourden adds to the ownage these guys and gals unleashe

  • drow all the way they pwn

  • Pretty cool, but I had to keep my finger on the pause button to read the text. I notice alot of the pictures came from "Drow of The Underdark", that is a great book.

  • Nice pictures, but really sort out the text. For one it's too fast, and secondly I have trouble reading it.

Perhaps you could insert a black strip at the bottom and write in white text on it (like film subtitles). I don't know how easy that would be.

  • Nice background art!

  • Drow rhymes with cow.

Nordic pronunciation backs this... as does the man that resurrected them from forgotten mythology... Gary Gygax.

  • This is a great video.

  • drow does not rhyme with "throw". It rhymes with "cow", since it is the colloquial term for the word "Dhaerow" from elvish, which is how the drow got their name. "Dhaerow" meaning traitor in elvish.

  • Actually PoN, you are correct in some sense. However, the word Drow is an old Gaelic word from the Highlands. My Scotts family state is as "Throw" instead of "Cow" and since the dark elves originated in the mythology of the dak elves of Britain, I selected that as an optional pronunciation. Check Drow Wiki entry for further proof.

  • Dark Elves originated in Norse mythology and the pronounciation was as "cow" there :) As Gary Gygax mentioned much of his creation was based on norse mythology, I'm quite certain that's how it's pronounced. The wiki article you mentioned, approves of both "now" and "throw" versions :)

  • The mythic creatures that inspired the DnD drow are represented in a few cultures mythologies....so the pronunciation is a little subjective depending on what language you use and what set of myths. BUT when your using English it IS drow as in throw.....that's just how the language and phonemes work.

  • @PreacherofNothing a fitting name dont u think

  • wow this was educational and interesting. I never realised that drow was sounded out like Throw. Thanx for sharing. The writing was abit hard to read in places but the pictures where awsome :)
