  • Fuck the Catholic scum! Bastards

Whilst Spain fell onto its impoverished knees - England walked into a mighty golden age. Btw, how's Franco? Haha....

  • @SOS763 Don't be so cruel. 1588 is a long time to carry an angst.

  • This was composed by A.R.R

Viva a Rainha

  • ok the Queen wasn't supposed to be the Queen and she slept with pirates. This war with England wasn't lost due to the English military strength or better/stronger soldiers lol it was lost by an uncommon natural phenomenon!! Unlike when the English tried to take La Nueva Cartegena de las Indias modern day Columbia with the Mighty English fleet numbering over 180 ships of the line over 20 000 trained British soldiers ant over 3000 Jamaican blacks "meat for the canons" hand to hand combat English

  • @DogManakaElCid "Wasn't supposed to be the Queen"... haha! Says who?

I like your comment about La Nueva Cartagena, but Phillip II was a religious fanatic who spent a great deal of time burning people in the Netherlands. And whether we think the Armada was sunk by an uncommon natural phenomenon or not, the fact is that most people at the time saw it as divine judgement on a very cruel and arrogant king. So with all due respect to 21st century Spain, Phillip II can shove the Inquisition up his

  • @NapoleonCalland : Well said sir

  • @NapoleonCalland Philip II wasnt a tyrant! He was a actual a good leader! Jingoist propaganda proves nothing dont worry the British suffer one of the worst defeats soon after this a lot worse than the Hispanics ever get!

  • @NapoleonCalland Who says Phillip was a fanatic? He was pissed off at the English not because they were protestants but because english pirates attacked spanish ships carrying goods from South America...The whole 'holy war' thing was a propaganda to get the support of the people for the Armada...I suggest you read something about history from books instead of getting your info from the movies

  • @Dalbert342 AMEN....PEOPLE WATCH A FEW YOUTUBE VIDS N BECOM OVER NIGHT SCHOLARS

  • @Dalbert342 I get my history from books. You missed the part about what Phillip did in the Netherlands?

  • Thanks "SPAIN" for Discovering America!!....

  • @El7IncA - Vikings were first...

  • @PolishSanta well the vikings were first to america to be accurate on new finnland

but they only whent there during winter time and they did dont map the area.

  • man jst be quiet thats true the inglish might have had luck but they took advantage of the field didnt they thats war is not childs game u stab the oponent from the back if u have to who cares if is fair or not it only matters who win so jst deal with it people and get over it is a movie for gods sake

  • @poodtang1 England the new super power?? LOL in 1588??. study world history not English, Spain was a world power until the 18th century with no competition

  • @poodtang1 oh god it didn't that would change the whole history of my country!

  • @poodtang1 Really? England only became Queen of the seas after the decline of the Dutch, a superpower by the late XVIII century... Spain remained a superpower for over a century after Phillip II died, with the demise of the Habsburgs, after which the French "took over" at the top. In the meanwhile England was pretty busy raiding Spain's merchant navies

  • @Augustus077 Actually it were the dutch that raided other nations merchants...namely the portuguese "india armadas"that ensured portuguese dominion on the spice trade for over a century XVII...or the trade with the chinese that was constatly being under attack by the dutch or the brazil plantation production also attacked by the dutch...the dutch didnt started nothing they were nothing but lousy pirates...

  • @poodtang1 Superpower of seas? For long time Portugal Spain and Dutch ruled the seas before England even dare to attack their hegemony after Elizabeth this didnt change and a lot of Kings let their countries bankrupt and then the country recover Philip actualy had a lot of bankrupts and always recover he was a great king contrary to jingoist propaganda likes to demonstrate and in fact British attack Hasburgs in Iberia with their own invicible armada even larger than the Hispanic one!

  • And were defeated! The British invasion in Galicia was defeated by a woman! The British counterattack ended in compele failure a lot more than this one the Hasburgs still ruled half of the world the British had some colonies didnt even compare with what Hasburgs had

  • @poodtang1 Read about the "English Contraarmada"..and then,reply me ok?..Regards

  • yes but what i saying is that without the english navy the spanish would of made it to the english coast before the storm struck, but we were there to hold them back

  • and plus we used fire ship to break the formation of the spainish fleet which made them at easy mecy for the storm, i mean at at a againcourt it rained the all that night which slowed the french down so when they casme to the english men they got destroyed, it the same thing really

  • what so we did nothing did we just stood there a didnt even fight, m8 history proved that the english stood a battled a surpiror force and won, are navy is the greatest in the world so get over it.

  • @yfjackalosf a storm saved the empire, the Spanish continued to have a better navy for years to come

  • correction was.. was the greatest navy.

  • what a load of SHIT, how does an empire of of pirates and witches get to look good?? and then a war that never happened? fucking Indian directed inaccurate piece of shit, history shows the British did nothing to stop this invasion

  • But damn, did England OWN Spain here. xD Give it where it's due, I say.

  • @dropapebble who told England beat Spain in this battle u stupid ignorant Nigger...it was a storm that destroy the Spaniard...fucking english pussies againts the Spaniards...we could say The Army of the Christians Spain vs the english devils...

  • @El7IncA who the fuck are you to be calling us niggers we won fair and square and it's all okay now so get over it it's over and done now.

  • @El7IncA Spain was not Christian, it was papist. Hmm, the armada came three times and each time it was destroyed by a storm. LOOKS LIKE GOD WAS ON OUR SIDE!

  • @WorshipInTruth say it with me all of you fucking english pirates....FOR GOD, THE KING AND SPAIN!...

  • @El7IncA - It'd be more like, "For God, Gold, and Glory!"

  • @WorshipInTruth - Spain = Catholic...? Papist? Plus, Catholic or Protestant, both are CHRISTIAN.

  • @PolishSanta Spain = Catholic yes. Probably more so then any other nation. Catholics are no more "Christian" than are mormons.

  • @WorshipInTruth - I didn't say that Catholics are more Christian than any other denomination. But, both Catholics and Protestants and Mormons are Christians. You said that Spain isn't Christian and that's false. So you've failed.

  • @WorshipInTruth Mormons arent Christians Catholics are! What history has the Mormons! Catholocism has thousand years of history teology and philosohphy what have the Mormons? A insane founder?

  • @ImperialGuard9001 Neither mormonism or catholicism is true Bible based Christianity. Being around a long time does not give one legitimacy, besides, most of the practices of catholicism are relatively new innovations.

  • @WorshipInTruth Being around a long time means they have links they have conections to the past to the very essence of Christianity while Mormons appear in 19th century US! Claiming that true "Christians" were always americans is ridicolous... Most of pratices of catholocism relative new innovations well it depends many innovations have centuries I would say many are actualy more old and tradionalistic and are actualy attacked by Prostestants and other Christians the worship of Saints for

  • example or Relics or angels martyrs or even celibration of religious holidays that we can see are clearly based on past pagan ones even concept of divisions of Holy Spirt God and Christ or the fact that Prophet achievet a semi divine status so comom in paganistic religions of half god half man or divine heroic figures for me these isnt lies or idolotratry like Jews and Muslims and even Prostestants and past more radical Puritans liked to attack is preversing thousands years old traditions

  • And instead of erasing like a good Semitic Religion would so such as Islam or Judaism it integrated it is form of tradition why should Christiany erased all tradition? Saint Augustine is still seen as the Father of the Church. A church that man always strike to protect in all its orthodox he was called the Paladin of the Church afterall so no dessent was allowed I am sure Augustine woulnt agree with Prostestants but thats a big teological discusion

  • @ImperialGuard9001 Protestant Christianity is far more orthodox. Modern catholicism rejects augustine completely whereas the Reformers upheld the spirit of augustine. There are many Churches and Christian groups dating back to the first centuries which never had any connection with Rome.

  • @WorshipInTruth How catholicism rejects augustine and protestant christianty not?

  • @ImperialGuard9001 Modern catholicism and many protestant sects reject the doctrine of predestination, the total depravity of man, the bondage of the will etc.

  • @ImperialGuard9001 Jesuitism is essentially a strange combination of both pelagianism and manicheanism, the two sects which Augustine warned us about.

  • @WorshipInTruth Wasnt Augustine himself a Manichaean?

  • @ImperialGuard9001 He was originally but then he left their sect and wrote against them; the pelagians accused him of retaining some manichean thought within his doctrine but this was really nothing more than a cheap ad hominem attack.

  • @ImperialGuard9001 Now Augustine was a complicated figure and often contradicted himself, he did uphold many papist heresies such as "free will" as well as many other things. I do not agree with a lot of Augustine, but there is good Christian doctrine in there somewhere. It appears to me that Aquinas personifies the flaw in Augustine doctrine while Calvin exemplifies the best of Augustinian doctrine.

  • @ImperialGuard9001 Much of Augustine's writings can only be upheld through determinism yet at the end of his life Augustine writes against determinism. He is a strange figure indeed.

  • @PolishSanta How Anglicans are christians? Is make believe religion it suits well with make believe monarchy! No wonder British turn out such cynical machevelian liberal bastarts...

  • @El7IncA Not to mention that year after the English Armada and English atempt invasion of Spain and Portugal suffer even worst fate and no storm aid the Spaniards or Portuguese in Galicia the English were defeated by a force lead by a woman! God Bless my brothers galicians trully Keltic and Norse blood runs in their veins! The Iberian union not only recover after this but it trully even advance in its shipments from Indias and New world shipments grow and grow contrary to what movie states!

  • this was by far my Favorite movie with Cate Blanchett she is a very good actress she did good in Lord of the Rings to

  • Viva el gran y poderoso imperio Español!!

  • @benfalas Hey now, guys, stop down thumbing. Spain, as an empire had its glory day, as did England (though England's imperial decline left them in a far better position nowadays than Spain), and they had their amount of great leaders and accomplishments. (probably going to get yelled at for being fair) xD

  • Ellizabeth for the Win and sir waltor Rolly pwned the Spanish Armada lol

  • He did joeyal, but not without the help of God. It was the storm which defeated the Armada.

  • thats true Karma was not in there favor because they had bad Intentions its funny how karma can since you bad intentions and make it back fire on ya

  • thnx 4 postin!

dont suppose u have a high quality pic of the one u used for the video?

  • Awsome

  • Yeah!!!

  • this is not a comment for you. Its part 2 of my previous comment. With only 6 Spanish ships and just over 3thousand Spanish and few hundred Natives beat the Brits. Another example Britain trying to take over the Viceroyalty of Rio de La Plata twise and lost both times!!! FACT IS BETWEEN THE ANGLO-BRITS AND THE HISPANICUS WARS THE HISPANCUS HAVE WON MORE BATTLES!

  • @DogManakaElCid Might not have been for me, it's still interesting.
