1 john 2:16 says that boasting in materialistic things is not of god but from the world so Jesus does not tell you to boast about the things that you have and also it is true that anything can be a god so praise Jesus Christ not cars and clothes

good job this is real talk. if there is no mention of our Lord Jesus Christ than we cant just assume that they are talking about Jesus because their is a lot of gods out there. that's why you cant just mention god you got to mention the true god the Lord Jesus Christ. and self glorification and boasting is not of Jesus but of the world 1 john 2:16

this isn't mine personally. i took it from Judean777 who's account is no longer active. i simply agreed with the brother and decided to share it with others. its tough out there and that's all i can say. i've been debating this god in me song for months and some ppl are touched by it and i believe some ppl can be brought in so far with the song. but you gotta admit this song is super watered down for the masses. ppl just don't want to hear about jesus and they took a safe approach.
