there is something called free mc boot witch is similar you can install it on a fat one through this and it will work on your slim if you install by pressing square.

google is more helpful than me on this.

You screwed up, the PS2 will only read FAT32-formatted USB devices, not FAT16 or (shudder shudder puke puke fall) FAT12.

hey do u need to have a hard drive in you ps2 to install this on your memory card? I know you need to use a hard drive in your ps2 for hd loader... ANd can hd loader work with the hard drive that came with final phantasy?

HDLoader should work w/ any hard drive. FYI, though, you need the Network Adapter to use the FFXI hard drive. Also, it won't work on the slim PS2. You need a USB hard drive, and it's hard to set up.

Great tutorial, i tried using another method involving GetID or somethin but i tried 4 or 5 times with no success, i got this workin perfect on my first attempt! Quick question though, I put the SNES Station on it and it loads fine and all, but how do i load up SNES roms, do i need a Hard Drive installed, a usb, or is there a special way to burn a dvd or cd? thanks!

Yea this works like a mod chip for PS2 if you check the "Cogswap" option while running the Independence compiler. Just do a search on youtube for Cogswap tutorials to get further info.

u can just do the same just check the snes option its in the same section as the cogswap and then burn a cd with snes roms not sure if u need 2 anything special with the cd thou so u might want 2 check that first

wtf...i followed all the instructions in this video, and i created the save file using ps2 save builder, but when i renamed it to "Your SystemConfiguration.ps2" the file type remained .cbs, which is the file for codebreaker saves, since I am using codebreaker over gameshark (I know it works) Is there something I'm doing wrong...I changed to file type from .cbs to .ps2 before but it wont work now....

well i did name my root/id BADATA-SYSTEM for my previous save files, and it had no problem converting into the .ps2 file. Now for some strange reason, my computer wont change to file type to whatever you rename it...if you know what im saying..
