@SuperKitaroShinX Especially Shinobu! She's the worst of all! (just kidding) Actually, I've considered doing a separate segment for Shinobu because her story is almost the inverse of Keitaro's, and she's actually my favorite character on the show. She has an interesting story, positive character development that I enjoyed, and she's one of two people in the entire show who actually responds to Keitaro appropriately by just treating him like a friend.
I blame on the fans and good reviews, but they should take it serious. I am glad someone finally point it out, you really did a good job on the review. Thank you!
Also there's a few thing that I don't get in that show.
1. How are the females so strong? The Sameri girl I understand but the other's can knock him out to the universe. and they didn't explain why they're strong they just are. Of course it's probly anime logic but still.
2.How come Keitaro doesn't get scratched, injured, or get a nose bleed? I mean he got punched through a glass window, how an he come back alive with no glass cuts?
3. HE'S WEARING FRECKING GLASSES you can't hit him when he do
@Maruigi2 Yeah, you nailed it. It's pretty much just cartoon logic for the sake of making it more wacky and fun. And normally I'd be fine with that, except they don't have any good reason for doing it here. It's like punching a sleeping baby.
@DatFatPat Actually, I've already started writing a review for Haruhi, but I'll warn you in advance that I actually like that one. I certainly wouldn't go as far as the obsessive fans out there who have turned the show into their own religion, but I do think it is well-made, and I like the way the story and character elements come together at the end. At first, I found Haruhi to be the most irritating character on the show, but she actually grows as a character, unlike the cast of Love Hina.
Haruhi, like Naru of LH, just ruins a anime from being great because of her behavior/personality.
Sure she is cute, but her personality sucks. It is similar to people like Chris-Chan in terms of being mean-spirited, spiteful, narcissistic, delusional, hypocritical, stubborn, not listening to what anyone else says and being totally selfish.
The other characters are flawed just because all they do is observe and be her slaves.
@DatFatPat I totally felt the same way when I first started watching. All my friends were going on about how awesome she was, and I just thought, "What do you mean? She's a total bitch!"
But the main difference for me is that Haruhi actually takes the time to develop its characters and explain where they're coming from (mostly). And to some extent, Haruhi herself normals out a bit by the end of the series.
By comparison, Love Hina didn't even try (and even most LH fans won't defend Naru).
@DatFatPat Generally speaking, I hate it when characters are mean just for the sake of being mean (and Haruhi, at the beginning of her series, definitely fits that definition). But it can make a big difference if the story at least makes the effort to help me understand the character.
It's also important to remember Kyon, who brought some much-needed perspective to everything. As for the others, remember, it was actually their job to observe Haruhi for various reasons.
Good review I enjoyed I personaly like the series but not love it the manga is good tho but you do raise points that explain your hatred that I found very reasonable
@lazyllamabean Thanks, I'm glad you liked it! It's nice to hear that others feel the same way (especially considering I actually like these types of shows, and I still thought it was terrible).
Awesome video dude. I love that you put a lot of time and effort into making these. It must take ages to choose the right Images and asign the correct subtexts.
I havent seen Love Hina, but have heard about it (I kinda decided in my mind that it was mildly shojen-esque). I get what you say about wondering why an Anime is so well reviewed. To this day, I dont see the appeal of Perfect Blue, the way its described as a 'Hitchcock Anime' really confuses me.
I write the script first, and then look for visual material afterward, so yeah, it can sometimes be difficult to find the right pictures (especially when all I can find is happy, smiling fanservice)
I'm afraid to watch this show, fearing I might turn into a misogynist. Well, I'm all ready a misanthrope, so I guess it's too late

You got your point there, Strebiskunk.
Although I love LOVE HINA, (actually, more on the anime's romance tones, hot ladies, and the ecchi fanservice........)
Yes, I can agree. I feel bad about Keitaro Urashima. ~_~

I remember when I first saw this show and thought the same thing! Really! Every point!
Then again, I hate those kind of shows. Oh, loved the Phoenix Wright picture.
